Gipps51 - totally agree with you on the expectation, no one is asking for sensitive stuff here. If FSHG do decide to help get the message to Zaza / the company then we will have a clear timeline from when they send the messages and our next steps.
And 100% agree with you on B-2-0
Hi Looed ,
All i want to hear from Zaza is we are still fighting your corner. I dont need to hear anyrhing sensitive at all, just that we are still on the bus.
I believe thats what the vast majority want to hear. We dont need to hear anything sensitive that will put any deal in jeopardy.
I like the ldea of giving him a week to respond .
PS ... B-20 .... messing with people's minds after many have put thousands and tens of thousands of their hard earned money in FRR is sick. You know nothing and never have. Take up a different sport.
There are arguments for both courses of action ie. sending the document now or waiting until after the election so as not to upset the apple cart, but as the letter is being sent to FRR first for them to respond there is no reason on this earth that Zaza can’t respond simply with some thing like hang in there, I haven’t forgotten you... or similar.
Just a thought, FSHG may not wish to send the document as may not agree, and Zaza may not wish to respond to them as perhaps not wanting to recognise FSHG or similar .
ODR - we have crossed wires - my 'you' wasn't aimed at 'you' specifically, more a general call to those who disagree and feel strongly about it to take action. Sorry for the confusion.
Other than having a feeling that we should wait, I don't see evidence to support such a stance. And how long after the election would we wait? days, months, longer ? This endless can-kicking needs to end.
Looed: thank you for your reply. You miss my points so please allow me to clarify.
Firstly, I am not "moaning". I support your suggested action but do not support the timing; I am suggesting waiting until after the election.
Secondly, I do not support the way we have been treated. Quite the opposite: we have been treated appallingly!
ODR - thanks for your reply and I do take your points on board. I do have to say, its all conjecture, and maybe this maybe that. You might be right but you might be wrong.
The last we heard on talks was the Energy Minister saying talks had taken place, which was denied and claimed it was a lie, same as the cancelling of the PSA termination claim. Since then, nothing. It could mean talks. It could mean events have just moved on. Anaklia port is the new hot topic. FRR is more and more a footnote in discussions rather than the main event.
As I said, those that don't agree should get together and put up a paragraph that I will include. If you (ODR not you specifically, I meant generally) feel strongly enough then stop moaning and do something constructive. If I can grab a reporters attention then there is nothing stopping you. Make your own document justifying / supporting SH treatment and we can submit both.
Yes definitely
Hi Looed
I’d support that - never joined FSHG but have 8M shares. Don’t post much as nothing really to offer except I pop in most days and enjoy your chatter. I agree with doing something - many years in the army taught me it was always right to “seize the initiative” otherwise you simply hold ground and never progress. Good luck to you.
Good morning Looed
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and proposed course of action.
I think your suggested way forward is constructive and, given where we are and how long we have been here, is appropriate. The only issue I have with it is timing.
We are in a position where, after months of posturing and sabre rattling by both the GG and Zaza, silence has descended. This silence has descended around six weeks before an election; the very time when we should be seeing a crescendo of rhetoric. So why has it happened? Well the obvious conclusion to draw is that talks are taking place.
We are all shareholders wanting a positive outcome. It is possible that such an outcome is being hammered out right now. It could be that as part of that outcome Zaza has been pushed away. This would make it easier for the GG to come out of this with their reputation upheld. Maybe they're working on a deal involving majors (BP and BH perhaps) and will shortly announce a plan for energy independence for Georgia involving all parties. Yes, this all sounds a bit positive, but it is not beyond the realms of possibility imo.
My point is that if this, or something akin to it, is happening then it has to happen before the election from the GD perspective. What would be tragic would be if we managed somehow to throw a spanner in the works. I know that sounds dramatic and unlikely but why risk it for the sake of a few weeks?
There's no harm in planning now and agreeing a statement and process but I propose delaying implementation until the end of October.
GLA
Nothing to lose Looed..... I say go for it .
Totally agree
Good work Looed. Something proactive rather than idly speculating on what is happening. We deserve answers, good or bad.
Firstly - nice to see so many posters and posts again. The BB has been relatively quiet for a long time.
I don't accept that a factual telling of our story is automatically damaging to the company. We are here because we support the company as well as having a right to know what has happened to our investment. I am sure many of us are invested in more than one Georgian company (BLOE would be the obvious example). Our story is a positive one in its support of Georgia, and its reasonable that we question our treatment by the company, and by Zaza specifically.
We have had no indication from anyone that the election has any direct bearing on our situation. We just hope it will. Well we have been living on hope for the past two years. The election is just another self-imposed hurdle, just like the arbitration was, and the upcoming US actions will be. No Opposition party is taking a "do a deal with FRR" position. If the GD win, or are the majority in a coalition - then what?
Zaza continues to ignore us - and now the farcical situation of him blocking shareholders on FaceBook. The only person doing damage here is him.
The story has already been reported / disputed from many angles -
Arbitration award - reported
GOGC / Govt side of the story - reported
Opposition views on GD - reported
Zaza's side of the story - reported
US senators, congressmen etc - reported
Local staff (the pay issue) - reported
Shareholders - not reported (though SH mentioned by Zaza in translation #1)
We now have 2 news organisations interested in our story. One of them had previously spoken to some shareholders (I don't know who or how) and seems to know the bare bones of the situation and wants an update.
StarRage is right to say its ultimately my decision to go ahead with this - but I want any comments sent to try and be as representative as possible of this BB. Otherwise I would have just gone ahead and not mentioned this to anyone.
I am in the process of putting a document together. I will post it here and folks can add / comment and I will try my best to include. I will try to keep it as concise as possible.
For those that think we should hold off - please get together and come up with a paragraph that represents your collective views. I will make sure to include in the final document.
I suggest once the document is finished, FHSG email it to all the contact points they have and allow a few days for a response. If nothing is received then it goes to the reporters.
If Zaza was so scared of shareholders, or he thought we could inflict serious damage we would have heard from him by now. If this reporter can help us uncover what has happened to our money then its worth a try.
