Sharply if you bought through HL using their nominee then your shares are safe and reconciled internally with Hl. If you had a certificate and have lost it then it’s another matter , but you will still be on the last company register before it delisted. Frr should have you listed so don’t worry.
Dave73. Bought through Hargreaves Lansdowne.
Gotreal I thought the same as you but wanted peoples thoughts as if frr relists or becomes tradeable I don't want my sharew being void
Given that HL and II and I expect many other companies still show the FRR holdings in accounts do we really believe it is necessary to prove holdings to the email address that others have sent theirs to? It seems inconceivable that it could relist and the various investment companies not recognise the holdings that are registered and notify the FRR registrar?
Did you buy via the broker nominee or are you a certificated holder?
FRR'ers
Please could someone help me with how do I get any verification. I missed out on getting the share certs and have had no help from HL. I have .PDF'ed my portfolio to show trades etc. Is there anything else I should be doing?
Star - I agree the correct comms channel should be RNS-R as the 'old' FRR promised. As we all know, they utterly failed to do so. This new 'evolving' (to use their term) FRR has started outreach, piecemeal though it may be. As they build the operation I would expect they would make use of RNS-R, statements to all shareholders etc as a more formalized communication channel.
Verification process - StarRage tested the system and obviously uncovered a weakness. Its for you to decide if that undermines the whole process or not. Hopefully it's a kink that will work itself out.
I can't explain the stop-start-stop approach to verification. As ODR says don't automatically assume it means they can't find you. We don't know the size of the US team and what their immediate issues are, certainly court cases must be near the top of any list. If BL and his team are overseeing / working with the company on this issue, the company have allocated significant funds to this process because BL for sure isn't doing it for free.
They have done a pretty good job of ignoring shareholders for the past 2+ years. Now they have cracked the door open.
Good morning all
Thanks yet again to Looed for all your ongoing efforts.
I just wanted to pick up on one of the points you touched on. You refer to shareholders not being yet "verified". The process that was followed when I made direct contact was that they wanted confirmation that I was who I claimed to be. So I sent them a screenshot of the stockbroker screen showing the bulk of the shareholding and a photo of the certificate for the shares that were chucked out of my ISA. The purpose of this was per Bryce Linsenmayer in his email to me so that: "I can then cross-reference that with the stockholder register."
So the point I am making is a reassuring one to anyone who has not been verified. The "verification" is purely so that they can confirm that you are a shareholder and so will be communicated with. They clearly already hold a register of holdings. (As indeed one would hope!).
