Always thought for a large holder it'd be easy to sell into a low volume time, such as summer, to drag the sp down then buy back when you have succeeded in doing so. Good way to add value to your holding if you'd a few million shares?
CAINO i never buy into a share for the divi, i watch a lot of shares on a daily basis, and i watch shares that have fallen quite a bit and how they have performed in the past, then i buy in when i think they will rise in quite a short time and then sell when i have made maybe 10%, timed it wrong this time.
I have made quite a bit doing this, but i will admit i do get annoyed when a share you have bought keeps dropping every day for what i see as no reason to do so, at least you should get an up day once in a while.
If I posted on all my holdings everyday I wouldn't have time for much else.
With regards to hope, I don't. I do my research and invest, if the price falls but the fundamentals don't change I hold and won't be deterred. Especially by some of the cretins you get on bulletin boards.
Another hopeful who come and disappear within few weeks :)
Well if the hedge funds were so sure of their short position here they wouldn't have to employ people to bash the share all day. It's very transparent.
Genuine investors - Think to yourself would you bother wasting your time going on other boards writing a lot of negative drivel all day? Life is too short. They have an agenda, just be aware...
That's right Noggers, averaging down just isn't an option and why would you buy a share you considered fair value at say 1200 when it's 750?
Think you and astro need to consider that 0.1% yielding building society account.

I would not buy into this share for the divi, if you want the divi you would buy into something like LGEN, or BDEV which pay good divi's.
Now if they increase the divi in the trading update then i would imagine it will help the share price quite a lot.
That it i brought the shares on 25 May when it jumped 5 percent when FEDs mention inflation kicking in. jump to 915... hehe look where we are now :)
Hi spindler, i am also speculating on what i am seeing and reading. I do not expect this to be the case, but at the moment i think the market does.
hi noggers, I realise this, but to any new entrants 4/5% will look quite attractive. I would anticipate a raising of the dividend or at least an acknowledgement that this is on the cards at the financial update.
Pms and miners should now be bought and tucked away
I can't express my disappointment with this share
caion_win i know ...maybe the dividend will get an upgrade. but I was here when we all thought it going 1000 but it didn't. IF I wanted dividend payment i put my money into polymetal instead of fres.
2 and a half months ago people in this forum A lot people were all beefing up the SP saying how cheap it is...It was hovering around 800 to 900 and everyone saying guarantee move up soon 1000s. I was one of the hopeful ones too. And now we are down to 750s .
I let the new guys to beef up shares .. maybe gold god will listen to them and rise the gold price soon... :)
There is no "market" - it's all the same money - use yer heads.
If the Market thinks the Fed will contain inflation then the market must consist of Brain Dead College Leavers with 200k of student debt each
JMT the dividend yield only goes up if you have bought at the low prices, someone who has paid say 1200 a share are not going to get the same yield has someone who bought them at say 750 a share.
momentum is key. At the market believes the FED will contain inflation / it is transitory. Pm prices being retreating from recent highs. No one wants to be in the PM miner space. A good financial report will help but i dont see it igniting things. I have now tucked these away into the long term hold locker and will take a look when silver breaks above 30. If finanicals are as good as i expect and they maintain thier dividend policy then this will yield 4%-5% in the next 12 months with , i hope, significant capital appreciation upside potential.
First, a company was shorting FRES causing SP not to go up ...then the company stops shorting. FRES SP didn't go up
US inflation went up a record amount, gold didn't jump nor did FRES.
then Basel 3 kick in nothing happen.
Hopefully, the dollar drop will turn the table? I really hope so.....
The thing is astro I think most people who are posting on here are in at around 830-860 mark and they are all waiting for the trading update and are hoping for it to be fantastic, but the trouble is this share has lost 50p this week alone, is it going to lose another 50p before the update, the problem here is it has lost so much this week that you have got to stick with the share and just hope better days will come.
Astro,
Alternative view - The SP is falling = yield is improving, with silver around 80% higher what effect do you think that may have on the dividend forecast?
Regards
Caino
Last year when this share was this low gold and silver was much lower than it is today, is there something that we don't know about.
@ noggers yeah I know..... new guys (just join) or very positive people don't like to mention anything which really happening to the current SP the last few months. which is its declineing. .... reminds me of the Cineworld mob .....
IF it changes and rockets up I be happy, they can say any **** about me I don't care at least I get my money back.... :)
Anyway holding on until that days comes......
Copy that - I'm piling in right now ...
I just got an alert at 745p from the chart that I posted on 30/06. https://www.tradingview.com/x/S5IS2Umz/ We really need to see a reaction here and a break up out of this wedge. If it breaks down, then I think we are then looking at about 725p.
When is the trading update due?
Halfpenny, I was reading some expert forecasting a 15% crash in the stock market in the future, we have just experienced and we are experiencing a drop of 40% + from the values we were 6 months ago....
Perhaps the past values of Fres were based on future price of PM much higher than the ones of this year, however, the current valuation of Fres, is based on future PM one year from now much lower than the ones of this year...
bob farrels trading rule number 4 ( ish )
rising or falling markets usually go further than you think.
Most of us here can attest to that.
