Hi astro.
You still in this then, I still have a few in these but been trading in a few different ones a lately, made quite a killing in ASC for a 2 day trade.
This was a normal account not an isa, as it happens I didn't need it, but it is no good if you have to wait 2 days to trade, I will try again tomorrow and see what happens.
@nogger I had a similar issue with II. But it with my normal account, not isa. Can't remember the exact issue... I think it was the currency convention to the dollar to GBP or something.
noggers...yes interactive investor
If you leave it for an hour or so my experience is that you can reinvest with the same funds. The other alternative is a a T5/10/20 if in a trading account.
I'll tell you something if they are starting that I will be changing my broker.
Strange. Think I had same issue with a stop/loss open and a purchase order open at the same time. However I am pretty useless at both buying and selling
They didn't let me do it today, sold a load of shares this morning, put in a limit price to buy the same shares at a lower price, and it came up not enough funds in trading account even though the cash balance is enough.
I have been able to use the cash straightaway. I will double check next time though i sell something as usually have a cash balance in my account so might not have noticed a change.
Hi jh2704, do you mean interactive investor.
No waiting on ii
Does anyone on here trade with interactive investor, if so does anyone know if they have stopped you using the cash straight away after selling a share, or are you having to wait the 2 day period?
Fres is on track to sell about 110k tonnes of ZINC this year for c $300m so back of the fag packet calculations are that this price rip could be worth $30-60m to the bottom line depending upon how they trade it , how much they hedge etc etc etc.
All they have to do to "raise rates" and keep Gold pinned is to stop spending public money buying our own debt whilst filling their personal boots with Gold/Silver/BTC etc ahead of YCC and monumental, unstoppable inflation kicking in.
Hi Bonk, I agree. At the moment, the occasional yield rise and dollar strength will still disrupt the rise of gold but deep negative real rates is evident everywhere. The influence of US10yr yield is getting weaker by the day.
I can't see any western central banks being able to raise their rates beyond 2% with the amount of debt they borrowed. Even turkey that has 20% inflation a month is talking about trimming rates! Can you imagine how they are buying gold in the bazaar? Lebanon is another. The smart lebanese people would have switched their cash into gold ages ago....
It's one of the leading inflation indicators that will balloon gold & silver for us eventually.
Should we really just consider Zinc the Christmas beer fund ? It's Gold and Silver what its all about
Does anybody have a nice model where they can quickly plug in the rising price of Zinc and its impact on FRES revenues and earnings? Zinc was about 10% or revenues, or about $200m, ceteris paribus. I see Zinc prices are up another 8% in Shanghai this morning. Naturally it is not consequential compared to moves in Gold and Silver, but there must be somebody with a model who can articulate the impact. Thank you!
Easy to forget that FRES is a major producer of Zinc, which went a lot higher last week. We should get a pick up in FRES price if Zinc follows through this week. Just saying…..probably nothing.
