Hold your nerve Captain Mainwaring!!!
Faroe's assets & mgt haven't changed overnight.
Sunday newspapers will probably carry a story or two!!!
I mentioned this over a week ago, can’t see the deal progressing and share price will go down. I said around £1 previously but can’t see that now. Probably back to around 120p
They might walk for now. Maybe the SP is telling a story
Very risky to be in imo getting near the wire
Understand your actions. Feel sorry for Faroe mgt, they've built a really good company over the years and have created a very attractive group of oil & gas assets and prospects with great production growth (cash flow) and loads of exploration potential. They will continue to build value in my opinion if left to get on with it. Another outfit come along with with their only real production in a danger zone and criticise everything Faroe have done just to try and buy them for a bargain price. I hope the Fund Mgrs do the right thing, but I suspect they will take DNOs cash in the end. I don't believe for one minute that DNO can or will walk away. They need assets in a more stable environment than Kurdistan!!!
I sold last week for the same reasons just cant see them bidding much higher just not worth holding.i can see the sp falling to 115p on a failed bid imo
I've made my mind up. I'm out! Just sold up cos if this bid doesn't go through I can see the SP tanking. On the other hand if DNO up their offer I can't see them going above 160. So risk/reward ratio not looking good for holding.
Faroe only had a 15% stake...
The impending decision gets harder/easier...

Make interesting reading. One is “Fight for oil explorer Faroe “on knife edge”. The second is “They’ll murder us Kurds once America is gone”. I can’t figure out if Turkey will invade Kurdistan after Trump withdraws his military support for the Kurds. However Turkey imports 90% of its crude oil and as a country produces less than 70,000 barrels per day it doesn’t take a lot of imagination to figure out what Turkey may be thinking today!
DNO need Norwegian reserves now more than ever, that would tell me they should up their bid, but where is the bottom for oil prices??? If late 2014 is anything to go by the oil price has further to fall. Really difficult call for the Fund Mgrs in Faroe. Doesn’t look like any competing bids are emerging either. Faroe mgt are top rate (in my opinion) nothing wrong with selling up and starting again!!! They will have a big following if they decide to do that. Not long to wait now I suspect. GLAH.
Another small Christmas present for the lawyers and advisors (no doubt on both sides!)
Storm in an egg cup.
Much more interesting are the upcoming exploration well results!!
This time clarifying CEO comments about not accepting offer..
This is becoming a glorious mud wrestle!

Faroe shareholders could always sell their shares and use the cash to buy DNO share price “puts”.
I suspect that’s possibly a way to get a higher return :)
With Russia and the US selling billions of dollars of missiles to Turkey and reading Turkey’s aggressive comments about the Kurds it’s hard to see a great outcome for production levels in Kurdistan. Plus the oil price looks like it’s in a downward spiral and the DNO share price hasn’t yet fallen anywhere near as much as the other oil stocks....just a thought.
I'd take half now if you are in decent profit.
now, which is tantamount to teasing capitulation and accepting the DNO offer. In the hands of the larger shareholders but from my own perspective the two drills ongoing give meaning to not accepting. I certainly agree with DNO about FPM management giving scant regard to shareholders over the last 9 years. Now do I hold 130,000 or take half at 152p ????????????
29.9% ... They are not going away...

Wow! There are some very angry oil people out there. DNO says Faroe's claims are bunk.. And that after January 2nd, it won't sell but get seats on the board and agitate for a year...
Meanwhile, DNO carries on buying...

I have already voted no thro my interactive investor acc before I left for some sun in lanzarote!!!!
Board rejects offer.... as too cheap.
Touch it not tough lol
Pure explorers are risky AF! Only put money there if you are willing to lose the lot!
A little debt is healthy but TLW is infested with debt! I wouldn’t tough it if it was lay London listed oily ! If the oil price hits 40 or lower , companies like TLW PMO and ENQUEST will be torn a new one! You’ll start getting RNSs about debt covenants and bond holders again !!!
SQZ is a good shout , cash rich decent cash flow , no debt and now diversified....
Ok, I reckon if you had sold FPM at 1.52, and bought TLW at current level of 1.70, you would be better off by around end of Jan. Let’s see in 6 weeks.
I don’t go into Kurdish stocks and by the way I know TLW has debt.
I reckon also that HUR, SQZ we also get you a better return from the recent lows.
By the way you mentioned a pure explorer, have a look at ECO. Just a look.
Yes some stocks have gone up by a couple of percent ... so what ??? DNO could come back here and offer £2/share! I’ll kick my self if I sold over 50,000 shares at £1.5 only to lose out on over £25,000 because I went rainbow chasing ! If the deal is cancelled I will simply buy more st around £1.25-1.30 (the price we were trading at before) and get ready for our dividends commencing next year!
Where do you suggest I invest my stash from here ? Please don’t suggest a Kurdy or pure explorer !
don't think so workover, don't take comments so personally, stocks that have fallen are now trending back up and will continue to do so doh!!! Its all poo related - don't you know, basics of trading
I am a holder, I havent decided what to do with the offer. How many here are looking to take it or reject?
Pretty stupid assessment there maverick! The stocks that have fallen are continuing to fall and will continue to fall ! Best to keep money here to see what the next move is than chasing rainbows !
