pianista and gav , the person who is collating names and losses etc can be contacted by:this company name 2019 at outlook etc
There is an experienced legal company taking a good look just now and tim can send you something.
I would be interested in joining. Can you advise how I could?
Many Thanks
Tav - there are recent developments on this BB which I've missed, eg who is Tim? And is there some means of pi's who've suffered loss keeping in touch once this board is closed down?
The legal case against the flybe bod is getting stronger and it would be useful to enlist pi's from other bulletin boards. Does anyone here use other bb's and if so are you able to spread the word about contacting Tim?
Yes, I have with both Barclays and HL and they accept they had a duty of care but both maintain the egm and vot etc did not fit their strict criteria as a corportae action. Next step Ombudsman for both.
I recently booked some Flybe flights and was amazed they now want 43 Euro per hold bag ,this flight now cost 150 Euro more than the Ryanair flight ( my wife dont like Ryanair ) thats alot for a bus service that does the same thing . I suppose we have to fill the Con Air pockets again after robbing us share holders already. Cheers all
Taverham. Thanks for that info regarding not being notified by your brokers ,the EGM was a corporate action but the brokers just seem not to care that they did not pass that on to the share holders. The same with the change of listing so we had no say about our shares /or company ( a corporate action). Is anybody going for their broker regarding this. Cheers all
You should be fine Mostlyharmless. I believe you can contact customer services still through Flybe twitter. Obviously there are quite a few bitter investors on this BB who have lost thousands (I am one) so if that was a genuine enquiry, you probably came to the wrong place!! Enjoy Paris.
I tried customer services, not very helpful.
It was genuine question. And i have no idea what a BE wind up is?
Hope things turn around for you guys.
clark, i do not know of such a site but the company in question has an investors section on their website which provides details. In this case Flybe is no more, save for final EU sign off. It is now part of Connect airways,
Hi could someone help me please and point me in the right direction. Is there a website where I can find a companies major shareholders?
Mostlyharmless. Your flight will be fine. Just check if the aeroplane has fuel and a pilot. Joking aside its bitter sweet that flights will continue.
Taverham interesting information re bod and yet even more non disclosure. This seems to have consistently been there approach with complete disregard for shareholders. Keep me informed re any group action. Regards
This case was the court sanction of 1p per share - nothing to do with credit card companies - apologies if I gave the wrong impression - it is just that FLYBE BOD cited the credit card companies in court. My point is they failed to disclose this in a timely manner to shareholders.
Plaintiff is Flybe represented by the BoD?
Defendant is? Government? Credit Card companies?
If a credit card is allowed retain funds then they'd always have the motivation to retain funds and use those funds for other things which earn money for them.
The board of flybe have now put in the hands of the court confirmation of the problewm caused by the credit card companies . So why did we not get a RNS to this effect is the recurring question.
herewith quotation from document at court.
Flybe had been a local route airline, but faced challenges including fuel costs, currency fluctuations, a competitive market and a loss of demand. It had also faced liquidity challenges because of a change in the terms offered by credit card companies. The government had encouraged consumers to purchase airline tickets on credit cards, so the credit card companies had transferred the risk arising from flight cancellations to airline operators by increasing the margin of collateral retained out of each payment. That had led to cash starvation for Flybe. Its board proposed a sale of the business and an approach came from Connect Airways Ltd, a joint venture between two former competing purchasers.

COMPANY LAW - AVIATION
AIR CARRIERS : SCHEMES OF ARRANGEMENT : SHELL COMPANIES
I am sorry that i do not have a link - this was sent to me by my lawyers - who are quite enthusiastic about working on behalf of a group.
four weeks later the Irish ombudsman replies to me telling me to contact AIB credit card processing company with regard to my complaint as to why the Credit Card company was able to withhold credit card payments and drive FlyBe in to the arms of the consortium. What sort of satisfaction do they expect me to get from AIB credit card processing services; an admission of guilt? That is the Irish Regulator doing what the Irish regulator does; not regulating behaviour of Financial Services companies.
Mornin' All.
I am not invested here, but i have tickets to Paris booked with FLYBE in a couple of weeks.
Are we braced for some bad news?
What is the likelihood that they will go pop shortly?
I know its supposed to be covered by ABTA , etc.
But there is the worry they will go TU whilst we are away.
Any advice much appreciated. Thanks
Been out of touch, though saw the news of the 1p offer being voted through, the main effect of which is that Kohn will now not be able to carry out his investigation. However, Hoskings must have factored in this possibility, and they probably already have sufficient incriminating information given their contacts and privileged position, so we await with interest their next move.
Poor, the second meeting was called a general meeting on the rns but on the flybe website called a EGM. The point is thatyou should have recived notification of the meeting and the circular , which was published seperately. As it happens I got neither and both my brokers HL and Barclays let me down. I asked them why I had not recieved notifcation by them.
Hope this helps.
Morning all. Just trying to work out a good reply to my Broker. On the RNS letter the AGM was September 2018 with results for full year. RNS letter on the 27 th Nov. informing shareholders (that was a joke ) of new meeting stating AGM but as we already had the AGM in Sept. that was really a EGM is that correct, so should have been informed about that as all share holders should have had that info. Is this the best site or should i go to Stobart site as all part of Con airways now. Regards to all
exetr, the article says in essence Jetblue have complained about the takeover. the link is in lawsons post about 2 pages back.
Of course, no surprise as Flybe have had this deal pretty airtight, shafting shareholders in every direction. No wonder Flybe are asking you NOT to send off the proxy vote (Flybe would end up having to pay the postage if you did post off the proxy form). Wouldn't that be amusing if everyone posted the form back - costing Flybe more in postage than the shares were worth at delisting.
No, currently in US, so been busy with issues to deal and assit with.
Note how Superdry ( SDRY) pulled in the EGM from requesting it
Exetr, have you read the telegraph article from the weekend, link given by a poster? It is good news as it raises profile further in usa.
