, exciting and an absolute passion. Fastjet is a brand with immense potential and working with the team, across borders and cultures, presents a massive opportunity for me individually. --- Great read Just start delivering!
TOP athlete Mugove Muhambi could not participate at the Arnold Classic Africa due to late registration. http://teamzimbabwe.org/index.php/2017/05/08/late-registration-costs-muhambi-in-sa/
Do these people find another job ? I suppose if you suck enough out of your last job you can have gap year or three. Jai tweets "Raising Too Much Money Can Harm Your Startup" "Whatever you raise, you spend it in the same time-frame - A valuable lesson for fastjet !..........." Oh really. https://twitter.com/jaigilbert/media https://twitter.com/bodinrichard1?lang=en
Marksman, I agree with you. As well, being a small company currently, FJET may avoid the pressure for racial preference, contracts to indigenous businesses etc Certainly also, the remuneration bill should go down vis-à-vis Gatwick ,
Utilisation is around 11 hours x 4days a week 15 hours twice a week 13 hours once a week If the loads are good we should be making money£
Thanks, Rufiji. I’m sure all of your observations as a resident are valid and, as ever, such useful input to this Board. Would I be being too naive to suggest that, while it won’t avoid all the problems and challenges that businesses face, we shall soon be much better positioned once our HQ is properly set up and operational in Johannesburg, especially as far as any racial issues are concerned? I write in the context of four or more years of trying to run it from 4000 miles away! Even more important to have a physical presence there now if all you write of transpires. There will be some things we simply cannot avoid which is why I feel so strongly that (once the fleet changes are in place as well as our management and staff), we MUST make every effort to ensure check-in-staff and especially cabin-crew are properly trained with emphasis on customers being offered the very best service-with-a-smile. And that they are made to appreciate how very important it is throughout the company that we are seen to be the best as well as the most reliable and best value.
I cannot disagree with any point raised by board members. But it sh sows.the increasingly brittle and.challenging environment companies in southern Africa are facing as restitution and redistribution are gaining.political momemtum and.race.is again rising up the agenda. Nor.is.the issue one-sided . But resentment and.easy popularist solutions are.certainly gaining traction wiith Namibia now actively cavassing Zimbabwe like seizure and.redistribution of assets and South Africa raising the issue if probably shy to implement it
(There has been some unexpected delays in this venture which has caused a huge inconvenience to customers like yourself and we are doing our utmost to ensure that we ) The above is to say the least a huge bbbb UP to say the least May I add my thanks too those of Marksmans, The cause of the unexpected delay in my opinion is either 1 could it really be true TCCA did not extend wet lease or 2 not viable until A319 lease end therefore reduce schedule accordingly.either way we the shareholders are left in the dark. What is encouraging is the reference to expansion once the E190,s arrive.
Thanks very much, tyche100, for posting your recent experience, flying with the competition, as you promised, and for the response from fastjet’s Customer Support team following your earlier journey with us. I DO try to be impartial at times! and while we have so much to catch up with, I do think Lynette’s reply comes across exceedingly well. Not just for not expressing the company’s regrets for inconvenience in stock-reply mode but for courteously explaining at some length its present operational and transitional difficulties causing such inconvenience to those passengers who write in to complain. We (shareholders) know her reasons are factual and I think it is good that she gets across our new fleet changes so lucidly while repeating her apologies with similarly emphasising her understanding of the inconvenience caused to our travellers. I do hope the service will be sorted out in time for your next reason to travel in that area and that you will choose fastjet and be rewarded with the sort of service you deserve and that we must all be hoping for at last.
The precision air plane was a bit smelly and dated as well as 30 min late, But ultimately it got me where I needed to be. I did see the fast jet plane when I landed in Dar as well as two shiney Air Tanzania planes. Will retry fast jet next time around see what happens. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused regarding your flight. We truly understand you not being happy with the service rendered. It is not our intention to inconvenience our customers but we are currently going through some aircraft changes at fastjet and are replacing our 145 seat Airbus 319 jets with 108 seat Embraer 190’s. The Embraer 190’s are smaller, more economical aircrafts that will enable us to expand even further across Africa thanks to their advantageous size and capacity to land at even the smallest of airport runways. There has been some unexpected delays in this venture which has caused a huge inconvenience to customers like yourself and we are doing our utmost to ensure that we do not disrupt your travel too much. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. On behalf of all fastjet staff and crew we thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we are going through this transition. Assuring you the best at all times. Kind Regards Lynette fastjet Customer Support
Yes Tmaster it's correct
The Patriot does nothing but focus on damaging the personal reputations of authors through innuendo and speculation. Every writer must sing praises to Robert Mugabe and Zanu PF or they are an “agent of regime change” sponsored by the West. This politicisation of writers creates a hostile climate not conducive for literary production. Beneath these careless pronouncements are undercurrents of victimisation and censorship. In other words, one has to be Zanu PF to write and imagine about Zimbabwe.
Fjc is the link correct ?
If anyone care to read this link it's most revealing who the authors have allegiances to, not an option by the way ----- http://www.thestandard.co.zw/2015/06/22/the-patriot-and-expatriots/ ---- It's an incredibly biased report and no mention whatsoever on safety, having said that Fjets response was very poor if it is to be believed.
An incredibly racist article! What does the colour of the pilot's skin have to do with his decision about uncontrollable children. Every time the article refers to the pilot it refers to his race. For the author to accuse the pilot of making the decision based on the race of the children without the slightest shred of evidence is outrageous. I'm almost certain that his decision will have been based purely on grounds of safety. (Another very obvious sign of racist intent by the author is his reference to Rhodesia which has no relevance to the incident whatsoever)
Well put PJ. Safety is paramount. They played the 'race' card just to cover up their own failure in keep kids under control IMO.
Sounds like fault on both sides. This happens regularly around the World about groups being removed or refused boarding due to bad behaviour. I have however never heard racial issues cited as a reason EVER BEFORE. It is clear to me that the ratio of adults to children was too low, and also the adults involved did not take enough appropriate action to warn the children of possible consequences. Normally groups being denied boarding are alcohol related, stag or hen party trips or sport related and the crew should have used a more relaxed view and allowed a bit more tolerance and adequately warned the adult carers of possible consequences if they did not regain order. I am 100% sure that safety and other passengers welfare will have been the reason, and to quote RACE as the reason is reprehensible.
I need a lie down - I've just upticked a Marksman post :-/
Upon what grounds, shylock? I can't imagine any journal fabricating such a lengthy string of fiction without being aware of the obvious risks. Why would they? And what is our spokesperson doing talking such gobbledegook as a "value-chain miscommunication error"? A bad day for fastjet, IMO.
Why? Are you suggesting it didn't happen as reported?
LOW cost airliner, FastJet Zimbabwe’s flight FN9002, was this week involved in a nasty case of racial abuse of 21 black children returning from a Sunday school trip in Victoria Falls. What was a first time experience on a plane for some of the children also became their first nightmare encounter with racism http://www.thepatriot.co.zw/top-news/fastjet-in-racial-profiling-scandal/
New aircraft looks great, they just need to roll out more and get some good news out... let's see the new recruits purchase some shares or do you think they will wait until the next cash call?
http://www.routesonline.com//news/38/airlineroute/272677/air-namibia-may-2017-harare-service-updates/ ------ I've never understood why Fjet never got traffic rights for this route as another Airline joins the lun hre club
