Good news! Internal flights to start 21-Sep-20, with possibility of S.Africa flights to follow on 01-Oct-20. Hopefully this will help the bid price on Asset Match.
Thanks for the clarification, Fossiebeer. A lapse of memory I'm afraid! Nothing new these days!
The problem is that the share price is no longer on an open trading platform. The only way to buy or sell shares now is bidding for them on assetmatch.com, therefore there will only be a price fluctuation when the current bid closure date is met which is currently 30-Sep-20. After that they will set a new price for the shares which may go up, but equally may go down, although once flying I hope it will be up of course.
This is my understanding how Asset Match works, its an auction house, but feel free to correct me if I've misinterpreted how it works.
fastjet has announced today that "We initiated robust discussions and are actively engaged with key stakeholders as we finalise plans for the recommencement of domestic flights between Harare and Bulawayo and Harare and Victoria Falls, following yesterday’s announcement by the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting.
"Whilst the airline positively deliberates on the next steps in announcing dates and a revised domestic network flying programme, they have expressed their gratitude to the Government and respective authorities and agencies for continued efforts in preparing the travel industry for a return to operations.
"The airline said it has since extended its 'flexible booking change policy' until March 2021 and advised that details on resumption of flights would be shared with customers as well as additional incentives aimed at enhancing market confidence, safety and sustainable operations."
While I wouldn't expect to see a dramatic surge in the SP following such an announcement under normal conditions, considering the markets pushed it right down to almost invisibility I would have expected it to rise just a bit from its fraction of a penny value. It can't be down to the time difference which is, after all, only one hour.
I know not may, if any people are reading this page these days but for those that are still invested in FJET, no matter how small or large, and I am, the below information if it pans out will be extremely welcome.
"Zimbabwe’s Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Monica Mutsvangwa, announced during a post-cabinet briefing on 01 September 2020 that the Government is finalising on modalities for the gradual reopening of airports to support the resumption of the tourism sector in the country. According to the Minister, Zimbabwe is planing to resume domestic flights first and international flights later. As of 02 September 2020, Zimbabwe has 6 559 confirmed Covid-19 cases with 203 deaths, although recoveries have reached 5 241. We’ll keep you posted!"
A T 1
Did you get anywhere regarding HL
A question I often ask myself when, in the old days, I did dabble in Asian Orange growers, Mozambique miners, waste product zinc producers, human waste to energy producers, a company producing solar powered dildos, and even a company that called itself' A Very Good Company to Invest in' No idea what it did. You do grow up though, and the mistakes of youth can be excused.Mind you, I wasn't that young.I'm wiser now, but it did take time.
yeah that would be it less than 3 years. I am also receiving the code but I would have expected some sort of online identification process not the old go to bank to certify a copy then mail it :).
Maybe because you haven't lived at your address for 3 years then because I don't have to send any ID. They are sending a letter with a verification code to my house and that's it. It says I can deposit up to 25k on there now if I want
Why would anyone with money dabble in this sshhite.
If I had the money you've got, IMO I would divide my money and invest into multiple companies so this doesn't happen again!
For Instance If I had 5k I would put 2.5k into NSF and 2.5k into TLOU on Monday IMO IMO IMO
ok, thats weird ?!? who's buying delisted shares?? i sold half of mine 31.5m for...0.03 ?!?
glad i lost only 40% :) ....so far, haha :) so.... C U all on ....auction :)
I expected some short squeeze ;-(. When company de-lists and cease to exists brokers can settle @ nil value but here shares must be bought back......
gla trading this on AssetMatch.
For flying high and crashing whilst using AIM. We hope you enjoyed giving us all the entertainment during your flight and that your owners return all the empty champagne bottles for re-cycling. Have a nice day...good bye!
im not sure if Eqi does unlisted shares, and if we don't want to register at the Share Center, then...Assetmatch should do it for us, when we registrate ??
Jackall give someone your address, proof of ID and a copy of your passport see what can happen! :-) I rather be safe than sorry. I wouldnt mind if I could upload it online but seems they dont have that option on Share Center.
you only need Asset Match if you dont have a broker that can handle unlisted shares.
sorry, what for do we need Assetmatch if i've been told by The share centre ...I DONT NEED TO REGISTER AT Assetmatch ?!?
wow!!! in these times?? u think our ID's can be in danger ?? so how we can deal with our shares??
and....what for is....Assetmatch?!? I'm gonna call them !
yes I did. I guess its because I moved homes recently and therefore when they do a credit check they need proof of address. given how pre-historic those checks are I wont be moving over and will wait :). there is no way in hell I am sending them copies of documents by post so they someone there can steal my ID lol !
....i called the share centre and...yes, they need all what Vbeckers said!!! 2 proofs off address, and copy of ur ID or passport ! all certificated !!!
btw, on my broker Eqi they said they will start acting on 24th :) till now they don't know anything ?!? how come some brokers do act on our behalf , some don't even know....about delisting Festjet ?!?
I'm in for 1.6mill shares...will take 0.1 tbh if it goes for that on AssetMatch...although they're auctioning every month so I'll prob wait a few months tbh as I don't believe anything has changed other than no more public funding...I expect they will recapture those costs from delisting as they would have obviously worked out which was more cost effective before making that decision...maybe Xmas time I expect flights to be running for a few months so hopefully around 0.2 haha! Very much hoping!
ok, i phoned my broker and they....dont know nothing !! haha!!
basically i need to go to Assetmatch !! been told they charge 3% !?!
btw, really ? is it so difficult to get this certificate at share centre ??
That's bizarre Vbeckers I didn't have any of that. I had an email saying I'll receive a verification number via post and that was it. Nothing about sending in proof or anything. Did you enter your National Insurance number on registration?
dont have a lot as I never really averaged down. 87,164 total so my 5k is now worth £28! lesson learned for sure but hopefully if I sell at a loss I can use this against capital gains on other winnings but I need win !! :)
