but i believe in tanzania we already make profit?
I am not sure we will break even especially with Mozambique set up costs and additional up front lease fees. However, we could see good improvement in cash flow that would underpin the share price and even push it a little higher. Well, hopefully ,!!!
do you think when we breakeven q4 the will re- value the share? please any
just went through as a sell MM
Well spotted!! , no idea but it does not look good
What is that Mark on her nose ?
nsnbc : Award-winning low-cost African airline Fastjet has announced that it will begin domestic flights in Mozambique soon. The airline, which currently operates in Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa will be the first low-cost pan-African carrier to enter the Mozambican market. Fastjet_Mozambique_archivesFastjet made its announcement only a week after Ethiopian Airlines announced that it would enter the domestic Mozambican market. Fastjet is set to enter Mozambique in partnership with Solenta Aviation Mozambique, a division of its largest shareholder, Solenta Aviation, which is also its operational partner in the country. Fastjet will make an announcement about routes and schedules soon, said the company. Commenting on the launch, Fastjet Chief Executive Nico Bezuidenhout said: Mozambique is a very important market for Fastjet, and soon we will have the opportunity to offer flights between some of the main cities in the country on a daily basis, with affordable fares. Fastjets aim had always been to make air travel more accessible to all, he said. Fastjet is the airline for everyone. Fastjets Mozambican routes will use Embraer E145 50-seat jets, offering comfortable inter-city air travel. Naturally, budget carriers will have to save money somewhere and somehow. The versatile Brazilian Embraer 145 - used by airlines as well as by militaries has an outstanding safety record - soon in FastJet colors in Mozambique. The versatile Brazilian Embraer 145 used by airlines as well as by militaries has an outstanding safety record soon in FastJet colors in Mozambique. What appears to be certain is that Fastjet doesnt appear to cut corners when it comes to a safe jet. Of the 55 models analyzed by AirlineRatings.com as of 2013, the safest jets were deemed to be Boeings 777, 717, 787 and 767/757, the Airbus A380 and A340, the Embraer 135/145, and CRJ 700/1000 none of which at that time had ever been involved in a fatal accident. We have flown more than 2.5 million people since our launch in 2012, and there is no better way to celebrate our fifth anniversary than to launch the Fastjet brand in Mozambique, added Bezuidenhout. As we grow in Mozambique, we plan to increase our fleet and introduce higher-capacity aircraft if demand moves in a positive direction.

Our Mozambique start date must be starting to sell not starting to fly. I Suspect that Mozabmbique flights will just appear for sale immediately after placing approved around 16/18 Oct. for some date in future.
go down more than 21 i will buy more and hold long term
“Good to see Nico (whilst he does not update us very frequently) just gets on with the job and tells us what things ARE happening. Not as before what MIGHT HAPPEN.” We can’t have it both ways, PJMI !
Will give us a lot of extra destinations, linkability and awareness exposure in a very short space of time. Good to see Nico (whilst he does not update us very frequently) just gets on with the job and tells us what things ARE happening. Not as before what MIGHT HAPPEN.
https://twitter.com/bulawayo24news/status/914792411364241408 --- If indeed this is top of our list and Zim declaring open skies again could we just be waiting for extra capacity to start this route.

PJ.... Excellent news and confirmation we have proactive team.
I think now is the right time to invest for me. good news ahead
Very Good News New Places magazine out on 1st October for a change https://user-buey55r.cld.bz/Places-Magazine-October-2017 It Says from 16th October we will be flying from Maputo to Beira, Pemba, Nampula and Tete
Thought they were already open... http://www.atqnews.com/ng/zimbabwe-declares-african-open-skies/ http://bulawayo24.com/index-id-business-sc-local-byo-118911.html
While there was no direct director investment Solenta increased their holding. While I am pleased with the market response I remain cynical about Solenta, and feel that shareholders are taking the recovery risk only for Solenta to lap up the cream through a takeover.
Buxton, agree we should be seeing director investment... was good market response to the placing, so for me isn't a problem, really the only way forward until beyond break even. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-09-29/fastjet-plans-mozambique-south-africa-units-as-losses-shrink http://clubofmozambique.com/news/more-on-fastjet-announcing-news-mozambican-domestic-flights-aim-report/
I was certainly disappointed to see such another large fund raising. There seems to no second thoughts to diluting PIs time and time again no real personal financial commitment from the Directors. Not sure how the potential South African base is going to work with royalty payments
Good spot, PJM. I see Solenta were given rights to Mozambique domestic routes earlier this month - see: https://southernafrican.news/2017/09/07/moz-domestic-air-routes-opened-to-competition/ and today's 'Proposed Fundraising' RNS explicitly refers to fastjet Mozambique launching in October 2017. Looking forward to it!
Quite agree, B787. People need to remember that the reported results were for January-June 2017, when the turnaround was in its infancy; it's nearly October now, and the prognosis for the "final quarter of 2017" remains very good.
https://twitter.com/fastjet/status/913729062308384768 ---- Can't be far off announcing this route
