Rome not built in a day
Delighted but what about Pemba, in the current edition of Places we say we will also be flying from Maputo to Pemba. Also the other Countries we serve who have a need to visit Mozambique will wonder why we have no connections from our main Bases and have flights to Maputo from DAR, HRN and JNB to complete the circle for onward Travel.
Fjetcrazy: yeah, I guess your'e right. Though I did say "modest" rise, and any development can only help. But I'll be happy with "stable" for a while longer. Point taken about being cash-flow positive.
Marksman, I really dont think SP will do anything until we get an RNS stating we are cash flow positive, the last fundraiser was one too many and I really think the market will want to see an end to the cup in hand status quo, I hope I am wrong as you know I topped up not too long ago and did not at the time see another dilution on the horizon, having said that, it is all going in the right direction, I just PRAY, they have everything in order for E190 arrival ( TCAA) paperwork, they still banging heads re LUN HRE
is it true
All excellent news, together with the flight updates. Thanks Fjetcrazy. I look forward to the possibility that we might see a modest uplift in the SP once these latest developments take effect in November.
38 Sectors per week for Mozi starting 3 NOV
I don't think its confusing they have just loaded the new schedule for Mozambique which will go on sale shortly
Fastjet, Africas low-cost airline, today announced its domestic flight schedules in Mozambique after winning its second consecutive African Low-Cost airline award at the World Travel Awards in Kigali, Rwanda, last night. This is the second year that fastjet receives this award and it joins the award received in June this year as Best Low Cost African Airline at the Skytrax World Travel Awards. Fastjet announced its schedules at the Mozambican International Tourism Fair held at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre and the flights are now on sale at www.fastjet.com. The launch routes are between Maputo and Beira, Maputo and Tete and Maputo and Nampula, with the first flight scheduled for November 3, 2017. Fastjet, which currently operates in Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa, is the first regular low-cost carrier to enter the Mozambican market. Fastjet will serve Mozambique with an Embraer E145 50-seat aircraft. The fastjet brand enters Mozambique in partnership with Solenta Aviation Mozambique. Access flight schedules and tim

Marksman you should FAO Nico more often!
Result!! LUN HRE Zambia playing hard ball , still in negotiations
It seems that they have done what we suggested, to not start the 3rd Mwanza flight and to use that capacity to do the Mbeya flight. Still no word on HRE-LUN being able to book again. Don't know if we still have not had the permissions to do it, or for some other reason.
It's this forum wot done it!
Looks like common sense has prevailed
Fastjet he should have had a plan B for the situation we find ourselves in. We have been so lucky' we have flogged the 319FJD for months and this was always going to happen at some time I like what Nico has done up to now but he should have got the E190 in place much earlier not last minute and now he should provide a service to Mbeya.
Marksman, not at all, my beef is the shocking way in which they keep customers in the dark, it only took them 24 hours to advise on Facebook of disruption, its just not good enough, to top it all Zim ops have been a bag of shite today, massive delays, but what is so frustrating is lack of information to our customers, Twitter is on fire re Zim,and so it goes on and on!
Maybe I overreacted Fjetcrazy and if so, I apologise to you, Nico. It is so easy for some of us "long-termers" to recall similar fiascos in the [Ed] "Winters of our Discontent"!
But quite right Marksman, lets see if he posts a reply
Interesting that tomorrow sees the start of 3 x Meanza per day , nothing as mentioned for Mbeya, they must know what they are doing but I fail to understand if we are able to sub 3x Mwanza, why not two and one Mbeya
I dont think even Nico could have forecast the writing off of FJD
You told me at the AGM that you frequently check out this forum (which I passed on here soon after). So have you read all these comments from many observant PIs re the widespread disruption to our schedules, especially the total cancellation of all flights to Mbeya for three weeks. Why the sudden return to the old days of such contempt for our passengers and why should they ever rely on such a damaged reputation which we all thought was now behind us? And what do you have to say to us, so many of whom remain heavily invested with fastjet?
