Let's Hope that Wolfgang gets hold of this story and gives the Tanzanian Civil Aviation some bad publicity.
An Absolute Disgrace the Tanzanian Civil Aviation should be totally ashamed of themselves, Letting down their own Countrymen with complete disregard for their fellow Tanzanians inconvenience. Heads should Roll. What happened to Open Skies ?
You are on the right track with ATCL, Mozi was easy as it was Mozambique that invited any operator to start flights. I am being told its not Fjet but civil aviation authorities, and somehow a hissy fit over the blocking of ATCL Q400 over non payment of a road project ( dont shoot the messenger)
ATCL needs all the help it can get!! Execution re Mozambique was obviously an oddity / outlier or is it because that was down to Solenta's management rather than FJETs (who appear as bad as the ones they replaced)?
Absolute disaster, not only has the Increased schedule been pulled back again at the 11Th hour until the 15Th November, there is only one flight a day to Mwanza until 13TH, so all those customers that have been booking will have their plans destroyed thanks to the TZ authorities who it seems are deliberately dragging their feet in giving Fastjet the regulatory approval s that it seeks.
Indeed, Maybe the realisation will dawn that Taxes of 300%plus on the price of the Air Fare making it 4 times the price it could be, must be deterring people from using Air Travel. That is something THEY can change for the better.
Some interesting views from the Mozambican Transport Minister Carlos Mesquita at the fastjet launch, including that The government deposits great hope in air transport, as a catalyst and a strategic industry for valuing the vast resources spread across the national territory, and to guarantee the accelerated development of our economy. The whole approach seems more informed than I expected for Mozambique - let's hope it continues into action! Wow , they finally realising they must keep customers informed https://twitter.com/fastjet/status/927870782100922368
Your wish is their command! Though probably not what what you wanted. http://www.lse.co.uk/share-regulatory-news.asp?shareprice=FJET&share=fastjet
does not make sense to me at all. thank you
to get up date RNS
Post, 2824 incorrect. Must try harder

incumbent operators LAM - Linhas Areas de Moambique and MEX - Mocambique Expresso, other entrants set to make their domestic Mozambican market debut in the coming months include Ethiopian Airlines, its Malawian Airlines unit, and two other Mozambican operators, TTA - Sociedade de Transporte e Trabalho Areo and CFM - Transportes e Trabalhos Areos.
Great news for a change, Fjetcrazy. I was just about to check out our Facebook page for myself to see if things had improved since you last brought our attention to it with its such dismal posts. Hopefully that, and especially Thursday`s addition, will herald much brighter news all round this month.
PJMInvest: Quite apart from being a lovely find, but with a unique and unusual photo of our latest fleet addition. Makes a nice change from the routine exterior shots of the 319s on a runway or in flight.
Zero complaints in last three days regarding TZ customers!, they seem to be getting their act together in so far as contacting customers with cancellation and time changes, with Thursday 9Th fast approaching it would seem that the postman has indeed arrived and Im looking forward to commencement of full TZ flying program. Fares on out HRE JNB route are averaging $ 500 return in December, indicating excellent load factors ( way above SAA DEC fare)

It`s easy enough to find, IMO, but it`s far too small now to the point where the text falls below full resolution levels and becomes largely illegible. Largely poor design as you could increase the whole map by a full third to occupy the wasted space above, moving the `flying plane` to the left (into the open space where the Dem Rep of the Congo should be) without even increasing the existing size of the orange panel. Removing the (for now) empty Uganda and Kenya outlines would also help. Or, just simply make the map bigger.
The map is still there you just need to look a little harder to find it. Personally I don't think the new website (apart from odd route issues) is that bad (especially if viewed on a mobile device and compared to doing the same with the previous one) could it be improved yes, the main issue is that it is different to both what you had got used to from fastjet and from other LCCs.
....ERJ145 that was due to be / has been added to the fleet in Tanzania???
Having been invested here since the reverse takeover I have been a very passive investor over the last couple of years but still read the BB without comment. The new website as made myself break this rule. Although a lot of good process has been made since EW left, IMHO the website is completely wrong. Where is the MAP ? Looks like local taxi company site not what it should be and defiantly two steps backwards. Come on BOD get it right. I will go back into hibernation.
I don't think the statement in the article "thanks to Fastjets very recent acquisition of boutique air safari operator Federal Air " is factually correct. It was not an acquisition, merely a brand agreement, which is entirely a different thing.
I like his thinking (One of Bezuidenhouts key strengths has always been his humility coupled to a fierce work ethic and a very pragmatic approach to business. Before I joined Fastjet, they launched a bunch of international routes. Its always very sexy to do that. The downside is that your only competitor is a flag carrier (a national airline) operating below cost. As a rule I tend to stay out of pubs after 11pm, because all the guys who are left are drunker and bigger than me, he laughs. I choose my routes the same way, you cant compete with the drunken gorilla in the room. I dont need my ego stroked by having the biggest routes and the biggest aircraft.)
