Wouldnt you think such news was just about big enough to push the share price up a tad? I suppose even if it was, the market-makers need the `pudding` to supply the `proof` they inevitably demand. And understandably so. In the meantime, I look forward to such proof being provided by the `growth in connecting...traffic volumes` expected by Nico and perhaps even hearing of it from the horses mouth himself at the upcoming AGM.

Following its migration to its new reservation platform, Fastjet has concluded a refreshed interline agreement with Emirates. The agreement will see Fastjets inventory available, in conjunction with Emirates inventory, through the Global Distribution System(s) Amadeus and Travelport and is expected to stimulate onward connecting traffic throughout Fastjet's network in East and Southern Africa. Both airlines share common markets in Tanzania, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Zambia. Fastjet, Emirates interline agreement to stimulate future traffic connections Interline agreements enable travel for passengers who require flights with more than one airline to complete their full journey. "The agreement is historic for Fastjet. Fastjet has become the first African low-fare airline to engage with major global airline brands," says chief executive Nico Bezuidenhout. Bezuidenhout adds that beyond the expected growth in connecting inbound traffic volumes, the enablement of trade and tourism will be significant: "Fastjet connects international hubs with major urban centres in our markets; in Tanzania, for example, travellers would be able to seamlessly connect between Dar es Salaam and Mwanza, Kilimanjaro and Mbeya all of which support various industry and tourism nodes."
would increase the pax numbers by about 40% if they can fill the planes
That would make sense to send the ER5s back and relace them with the ATR
Perhaps the ATR are a natural expansion for Zim replacement for ERJ
Honestly have no idea Regards deployment of the Atrs , kigoma is not being held up by TCCA but is being held up on certification of E190 into kigoma it would literally be on limits to max
Fjetcrazy how are we going to utiize the three new planes? Maybe one is for Bulaway A second for kigoma,Dodoma and another in Tanzania The third ?
Its very sad indeed, certainly explains why our LUN HRE/ HRE LUN never came to fruition, over in Zimbabwe we cant get the Bulawayo ( although i am hearing we almost there ) meanwhile whilst Air Zimbabwe are not in a position to expand , other national carriers are doing just that under fifth freedom rights
Same old story Fastjet can win awards but not win any new routes I suspect there is no chance of a level playing field now or the near future In Africa sad state of affairs

Some of these sites should come with a health warning. Good grief we see enough of them on cigarette packets, lungs carbonised and mouths with no teeth in them, alcohol adverts that advise us to drink sensibly or you could end up losing your job, wife, husband, children and house and end up on the street. Heaven forbid the dangers of drugs! Share sites should carry similar advice. I was thinking of the ad campaign to go with this, something like Buy sensibly , sell sensibly, but dont think its all lovely jubbly. Then I thought , thats not very good. It rhymes too much to be original and anyway its crap.
Thanks G-BOAE, hopefully news on this soon and June deployment will go ahead as planned. There’s always a huge cost when introducing a new aircraft type, if Nico messes this up then I can see it being the end of fastjet. On the other hand, if it runs smoothly, then hopefully fastjet might be in a good position to be bought out for higher than the current price. Pretty much given up hoping for any returns on this share and now hoping for a takeover.
The RNS in April said the ATRs would be deployed in June 2018.
Well, 13 months for that deadline. Obviously referring to 2017 results
Disappointing that the results are being withheld so long, only a few more weeks to go and the truth will have to be out there. Disturbing to hear that there are aircraft parked up and not entered into service yet, I seriously hope that fastjet are not paying for this, otherwise Nico will have some serious explaining to do to shareholders! Does anyone know what the financial arrangements are here and if crew have been trained up for these aircraft?
It messed up again
Sorry it said undeployeded when I wrote it blinking spellcheckers
Paying for 2 ATR Aircraft Underplayed costing money but not creating revenue for much longer without it having a material effect. It has been too long with no new news.

No wonder we can't get the Bulawayo route they are probably saving it for this new airline African governments are just pathetic
