"No inflight magazine on board on both sectors, very disappointed."
No doubt a small part of the economising drive, Fjetcrazy. "Travelsmart" was last published on 1 January 2017 and was retitled "Places". But I don't think it ever appeared beyond the second if not even the first issue.
As for the food: was it really so 'inedible' any more than other airlines' offerings which almost everybody complains about? Did you not complain about it to one of the stewards? You should've said "I'm a big investor with this company...." who knows what the crew might've come up with just for you!!
Correction ZSDFC
Forgot to mention the snack box served on board was inedible.
Flew Erj ZSDBC
FLIGHT on time both sectors
JNB TO VFA 44 pax (capacity 50)
VFA to JNB 48 pax ^^^^^^^^^
Aircraft benefited from recent paint job however very tired on the inside, seating comfortable.
No inflight magazine on board on both sectors, very disappointed.
The crew were a SA based crew therefore Solenta cabin crew, very polite and professional as were the flight crew who kindly allowed a visit after landing in vic falls , apparently fjet about to add a second daily Harare Bulawayo service.
Probably my last post here. My original thousand quid, now worth less than a fiver. Then today my share dealer says I can ante up for another eleven quid to buy a nice round number of new shares.
Nope! I'm outta here.
Good luck to anyone who still fancies a risk.

Just ignore him; he loves to make an appearance from time-to-time at what he sees as an opportune moment to denigrate the company and mock investors once more. I sometimes have to confess to feeling some empathy for his opinions but as regulars will know, I am a long-term holder and, even, fan!! So I shall still wait for a turnaround or total collapse. Either remain plausible possibilities, IMHO.
I see nuri has risen from the dead!! They vanished for so long, thought they had finally swallowed their bitter pill and moved on to a better life.
Had to registered and ask, what planet are you on, do you actually have any idea how a busineas runs? in genenal, overheads, expenses, etc Or you think you have an idea on things. Or
Or you just high on drugs, as the rubbish you and others just blurb out is comical and unrealistic.
it has to be. They've done several fund raisers over the years and they burn through cash till they are almost bankrupt and then suddenly they get support for another fundraiser. This company, its staff and other stakeholders have got to be involved in a scam. I just can't figure it out. Avoid this fraud!!!! Or your money will habe dissappeared in the next 12 months!
Can only see Solenta, and recent new shareholders, taking part in the Open Offer, its not worthwhile for anyone else. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't fully taken up.
I was in, and got out about 18 months ago (at an 85% loss) to me things are looking potentially positive and I may get back in after 10th December, if the votes etc pass. If I do it will be very small scale, and a true punt, as I believe in the idea(and I could buy back my original holding for ca. £100!) not sure I believe in the management though. If I could buy shares in Ethiopian that would be a much better bet!
Thanks for that Fjetcrazy. It's a difficult one. Take a chance and buy more and therefore a chance of losing more if Fjet goes under or stick with what I've got and hope for the best but lose less if they go under. But then again buying shares in anything is always a risk. When i bought Fjet it was purely a punt with money I was prepared to risk losing. I can understand how easy it is to get disheartened by this share though!!
You are entitled to 57 new open offer shares at 1P for every 10 shares you own,
Am I right in saying I don't have to do anything if I chose and just retain the shares I've got? And that the number of shares I've got will stay the same? And then hope for the best as no doubt the share value per share will go down.
That is correct, if i had got in at your price i would subscribe to the open offer to reduce your average share price and hope it grows from here, for me it’s not an option as I’ve had enough of this company, good luck whatever you decide.
Hi Fjetcrazy. I bought in at 2.5p during the last few weeks. Don't really understand what's happening at the moment apart from they seem to be making more shares available to raise funds?
Could anyone please explain to me what this latest RNS means in reality to the small Fjet investor please? Is it good , is it bad? Have we lost our money?

When and at what price did you invest?

I agree, Solenta played a blinder, just flown Fastjet Jnb Vfa, flight full both ways, the erj equipment very tired, also I note ATCL about to announce Services to Lusaka joburg and Harare, is now a good time for new investors to buy in? Probably, but not for me , also closed the book on this one, but would love to see it succeed, let’s hope Nico does not spend it all at once in SA !
Into the realm of share homeopathy.
Roll up Roll up......
Could anyone please explain to me what this latest RNS means in reality to the small Fjet investor please? Is it good , is it bad? Have we lost our money?
No, it's a private entity.
I am really confused regarding Fjet. Are we still in business? Very little news being put out!!
Solenta seem to have a strategy for African airline ownership and have played their hand successfully pre and post FJet takeover. You can't blame them for stepping in to buy out FJet and they will make a success of it. It sad that we have had to take the pain for them to reap the gain.
I am thinking ....... Is it possible for UK nationals to invest in Solenta? Does anyone know the answer?
Hi FJETCRAZY
Looks like our expectations re Solenta are coming to pass.
I know Law Masha; he is a savvy lawyer who is porbalby looking to re-start his political carrer having surprisingly lost his Mwanza seat in the last election.
I think he was on the original Ed Winter crafted board back in the days of great optimism and is/was Chairman of Associated Portland Cement plus other buisness interests so no placeman.
THe mandate I would suggest is to merge FJET TZ in to Air Tanzania
Looking back over this saga I still pin point Winter's unfathomable decision to involve FJET in FLY540 without, it would appear, any substantial due diligence, and his weakness forr Anglo expats over line professionals
I am closing the book now.
I think Edenville Energy are the cause of their own problems as they have been unable to meet contract obligations on coal; but Magafuli is certainly frightening a lot of people
It's now owned by Solenta, Nico steered the company in this direction from day 1.
Sad end to an idea of a low cost African airline. I don't think Africa is ready for it just yet
easiet way to launder money. No one in their right mind would back this - yet there must be a corrupt core who are using fastjet to defraud shareholders. This company needs to cease imo.
