Last placing was Dec last year and only for $500K? That doesn't sound like a co. thats still "erasing share value." Were there other raises that weren't RNS'd Iknowthis or have I missed some?
Showing 19m x3 now
Anyone who buys this now with all of the WARNINGs are STUPID! It has spent $1,250,000,000.00 (yes, that's a lot of zeros). It has never ever turned a profit, even at EBITDA level. The share price has continually dropped since late 2012 to now. Yes, there has been ups and down... but it started at £400 a share (pre-consolidation - there were two or three of these). Anyone investing, even a few hundred are plane made. The institutional investors are of questionable repute - some of them are not even identified by Fastjet.... this is a corrupt market!!!
19m worked sell just..
Think you need to drop the "investing" criteria iknowthis its making you sound pompous and self righteous. Most of us just want to turn a profit that'd be a start.
You're right about Zimbabwe and a very good job they're selling it but not so right about what left of the business apparently hence the questions about turnaround possibilities from this level..
Despite significant financial and operational improvements in performance, the Company continues to be loss making with management expecting a loss after tax of c.US$7m to US$8m for the full year 2019 (2018: loss of US$65.0m). While the Group's FedAir operation remains resilient and is expected to be profitable for the year, this has been off-set by the continued volatility and uncertainty in the Zimbabwean market. fastjet Zimbabwe has increased its year on year revenue despite the difficult trading conditions following the introduction of a new currency which effectively devalued the existing currency by up to 15 times its previous value at official rates and has pushed inflation rates to above 200%.
Nothing personal but more likely you did iknowthis.
Its pretty standard that those that are telling you to buy the top are the ones pushing peeps to sell the bottom.
Correct the major shareholders see the light at the end of the tunnel running an airline these days are not for the fair minded people
Virgin Atlantic needed billions poured in to make it work
Fastjet areon the right track in. Getting the business into profit
What you have to Remember you invested £60,000 in Fastjet
The capital received from the Disposal would be utilised to settle the remaining current Group liabilities and for future working capital within the Group providing sufficient funding into FY2021.
a11gar - I don't owe anyone an apology for warning people. They've had a dozen fundraisers and fleeced investors through and through.... Ed Winter and Nick whatever his name is must have spent the guts of $1.5 billion on this corrupt venture and have a few second hand worthless planes to show for it.
You brokers are very sly, fake posting on forums.
Who posts 3k + postings on this forum
hhhmmmmm
I think someone needs to investigate the likes of you lot.
It’s not going bankrupt, have a plan. SP down due to fear of admin - not happening.
And why oh why would anyone want anything provided by Fastjet when it’s failed at every opportunity it’s had its way.
They have become delusional.
Agreed they do seem to have a plan post sale of the lossmaking division. If they can fulfill it then they may be a half decent turn around co imo.
The restructured Group would become a capital light business operating as a franchise house that would earn revenues through the fastjet brand and providing airline management solutions, whilst also continuing to hold its investment in the FedAir business. The Group's strategy is to focus on franchise and providing airline management solutions to additional airlines in Africa that are independently owned, enhancing its overall revenues from these. Additionally, the Group would aim to only own airlines once they were cash generative and profitable, so avoiding the initial costs and significant cash losses through the airline startup phase and from operating in Africa's sometimes uncertain trading environment.
£60000 loss nuri123a got to let it drop that’s 2 years ago you have to move on
This company is morally and financially BANKRUPT. I hope to see if wound up as soon as possible.
Makes sense what they have done
Putting all operations under one branded name
Interesting news on selling the lossmaking division. Is that enough to bring them back to profitability?
Out now
I don’t see panic selling, what i see is systematic sells by very large shareholders
The updates on the revenues going up and it’s losses narrowed is all good in the footwork to going to profit we need the panic selling for myself included in buying up the shares
Buying them up before the share price goes north
* On 26 November 2018, the Group sold its holding in fastjet Air TZ (BVI) Limited, which further held 49% in fastjet
Airlines Limited. In addition, the Board further resolved to close the Guernsey structure which consisted of dormant
entities. The 2018 Interim Results have therefore been re-presented to report fastjet Air TZ (BVI) Limited, fastjet
Airlines Limited and the dormant entities as discontinued operations
Fastjet Tanzania has triggered the current share price drop.
Panic selling i believe.
On the risk scale of 1 to 10, Fastjet has always been about 700. Many said it was amazing value at a pound. At half a pence it might be worth a flutter. I don’t think so, but anyone who does should first read the in flight magazine. This publication, in days gone by, was considered by several people commenting on here to be the source of all knowledge as to the direction of the company. Many people have parachuted out of this with money. I think it’s flying at below safe parachute levels now, but if you’re a base jumper, have a go.
You have been shorting this since day 1!
Even if you lost lost some in the beginning ,You must have plenty by now.
onebagger - very best of luck. Just my view - and I really hope someone makes money out of this company! If you 10 bag it, I shall be very happy for you and others!
