Price crashed??
I would say balanced and factual. Even a lot of good business sense. Would say optimistic, even starting to fly again. Even oil price is on our side. Happy days God loves a trier.
Why Fastjet bothers to stay on AIM I really dont know....keeping up with the AIM regulations and the paying the costs of being on AIM ....what for ??
….and it's very mixed....
https://www.reuters.com/article/brief-fastjet-says-fastjet-zimbabwe-plan/brief-fastjet-says-fastjet-zimbabwe-planning-to-restart-flights-on-21-april-idUSFWN2BV19X
When it appears to be predominantly bad news with Fastjet why am I seeing more buys today than for a long time. Two buys are substantial compared to the buys over last many months. Is there good news on the way ?
Beginning of the end anyway. If the suspension goes past 16-Apr, goodbye I suspect.
The End
Well originally it was end of February, then end of March, now end of June, so FJET are making some money somewhere. In addition as i have recently said, the fall in the price of oil can only help FJET as they don't hedge their fuel prices; fuel is currently US$22.22 a barrel, so the company must be saving a fortune if they haven't reduced their prices. I think so long as they can manage a schedule to meet demand, there is every prospect that the end of June date could be extended further, will have to wait and see.
" ...the Group will have sufficient resources to meet its operational needs until the end of June 2020 subject to forecast revenues not being impacted by any unforeseen circumstances or significant reductions triggered by the Covid-19 virus. "
What does anyone think of the latest release ?
What is there to add.... the risk remains but whilst they have been given more time the "factors" impacting performance never seem to go away ....still pretty risky adventure , all in all ...
I mean..if you are looking for a profit ..would Fastjet be a better option for your money than some of the oversold FTSE companies...I dont think so, all in all IMO
I not with interest purchases which I know were made on Friday are not listed on this site why ?
What does anyone think of the latest release ?
Oil still falling, $32.33 as I write. Will help FJET no end so long as people don't get scared off by Corona Virus like they have in Europe. Would be interesting to know how passenger numbers are holding up in Africa?
US crude oil has fallen to just $49.88 per barrel, this is a big help for FJET finances as they do not hedge their aviation fuel prices so are getting help by this decrease in fuel costs, hopefully leave some extra coffers in the pot.
I don’t understand this recall of irrelevant information. Think it’s a case of no news may as well repeat what everyone knows.
The price is more or less the same as it was a month ago. It did ‘spike’ lol to 17
Are people not selling up......??
Is the sale going ahead and when.
I have read if the sale goes ahead we are left with nothing except the name ?
If my above point is correct , why is there not more people selling up. Surely the name has limited value.
Think you’re forgetting that element of expansion is to be sold off to the majority shareholder that includes the growth element.
From the RNS dated 27-Nov-19
“The Board expects further funding will be required by the end of February 2020 to enable the Group to continue operating in its current form”.
From the RNS dated 27-Jan-20
“The Directors believe, based on current financial projections and funds available and expected to be made available, that the Group will have sufficient resources to meet its operational needs until the end of March subject to forecast revenues not being impacted by any unforeseen circumstances.”
Now given that since this last announcement FJET have instigated x2 new routes and are currently taking bookings on those routes, then this additional revenue should hopefully see them past end of March and well into summer, all in my hopeful opinion of course!
Read back. As I said the company keep saying they have limited trading funds. The last was not the end of February but March.
I haven't seen any new information. We will have to wait and see.
I had read the RNS.
My question was relating to further updates or rumours regarding the restructuring. Likewise with cash running out end Feb which Is rapidly approaching. What’s going to happen. Will we have cash to carrying on operating?
You should read the RNS dated 27th January.
Is there any more news on the restructuring s as nd the new routes?
If memory serves right I thought we were running out of cash by the end of Feb which I’d 12 days away. What’s going to happen next ?
