I would assume that the US listing has helped lift this sp.
Also..Question: is this sp getting a little large?
Eg, nearly £200/share. Would FERG ever consider a share split, ie, 5/1 = £40/sh. ?
Well, it seems back to normal now, eg, up,up and up.
Today's news.... although not a huge fan of brokers ( except when it's good news,of course 😉) the projection of £200+ sounds great 👍
Ouch !
How did it take 20 months? 52 week high was not set long ago
At last, in profit. Only took 20 months....and another divi pay day next week, yay !
OH NO, that's torn it.
Hopefully, a world recovery soon, yeah right. Happy Christmas to everyone
We are in a period of orderly transfer of shares from the UK to the USA, I assume. I find S&P index admission harder to understand than the FTSE 100, appearing to me at least rather haphazard. The question was trying to find whether anyone had views. The questions would appear to be; will FERG be admitted, if so when, have index funds prepared for this, at least in part?
Interesting day, was down 360 after results at 11.30 , yanks opened and up we went !!!
Any views when the S&P update is due?
Should be good for £120 in the next couple of weeks
share price slump after good results ????
Ferguson in the top 5 for second day running on most share trades.
Any reason for increase in trades?
Up £7 a share in one afternoon !!! didnt see that coming !!
recent large price movements up/down, means there is money to be made. All about timing I suppose.
Bailed out. Quick 11% gain in 2 weeks.
1.7% divvi today plus 6.3% gain in a week. Easy money !!!
Bought @8887
Decent price plus a divvi next week.
Hope to buy some more when timing's right.
Results were great but outlook has headwinds. Good SP maybe to buy. I think I might wait for sub 9000.
I've now sold, after having held for 12 months. I made 2% profit which is OK as I was down 16% at one stage (having said that I was up 34% at one stage in January, it then fell 37% before recovering a little over the last 2 months).
Timely RNS. SP made a sharp turn from negative (5% down) to positive (3% up) following results release. All good for the long run prospects.
200 day SMA is £110 so still a sell signal, could fall a lot further.
Hit year low (intra-day) 8892 today, then bounced back a bit. Surely a good buying opportunity considering prospects going forward. I have added.
Who knows, it was only £50 2 years ago.
The 200 day SMA is £11 so that is a sell signal.
..just how low is this going? Confused!
Well, that 6% rise yesterday didn't last long did it !! What do holders here think about the move to US ? Sounds a logical and positive move to me but with the uncertainty everywhere including the US it doesn't necessarily mean the sp will improve. Thoughts?
