This is a technolgy investment
The headsets/glasses WILL get smaller
The quality WILL improve
I think Coldplay had arounf 2 million watched their VR gig
Many people said the car wouldnt take over from the horse or that CD wouldnt replace vinyl
@geordieshores
I sort of agree with you about the headset, mainly because I think the resolution on the oculus is still not quite there yet, but they have released some pretty decent viewing numbers for their mobile app.
From the wireless festival RNS:
“The sold-out Festival, which coincided with the launch of MelodyVR’s mobile app generated tens of thousands of new MelodyVR app install in the seven day period from 1st to 8th July, and saw over 250,000 individual views of the festival broadcast, across the company’s VR and mobile applications and Facebook Live 360, throughout 45 countries.”
And then we had some decent numbers for the GMA show as well:
“This first-of-a-kind broadcast, which simultaneously featured across national television and in 360/virtual reality, received over 100,000 live streams via the MelodyVR app alone”
Forget the headsets, mobile is where we’ll make our money — and everyone’s already got one. If they ever start selling tickets to live shows then we’ll get great promotion on the ticket selling websites (remember that deal they signed with ticketweb?).

Hint.
- To make money buy low, sell high and dont try and do it in just a couple of weeks
- At the very least, Theatre is one 'trick' and Music is a second 'trick' (though IMHO can be broken down further with advertising, live gigs, back catalog etc)
Can you take a couple of others with you?
WHATEVER
Some regular readers on here will know I have made a few posts and admitted I was wrong about a default app that comes on the Oculus quest headset. It is the full blown melody VR app which which I had reported back was quite good.
So why have I sold.
1) my son has the the quest headset. So do some of his friends. None of them are interested in the melody VR app. Out of my very wide circle of contacts and friends I have been quizzing them all in detail and none of them would be interested in using a VR headset to watch a concert.
2) this company is so terrible at providing shareholders with information. We do not know how many O2 users will sign up or what the minimum number they were guaranteed are.
3) this is a lifestyle company for the directors who take hundreds of thousands of pounds in salaries.
4) Read the MelodyVR reviews below
55% of reviewers give it 1 star. Only 24% give it 5 stars. This is people giving their honest opinion of their experience. I know a lot of people on this forum will say they are talking rubbish and that this is a great product.

As I have said in many of my other posts. Virtual reality has a fantastic future ahead of it. The problem is evr are a one trick pony. Virtual reality will become massive but this company are relying on the people who will use it to watch concerts and Theatre performances which I do not think many people will. If you have worn a VR headset for any length of time you will know that after 40 minutes or so your face becomes very sore. They are actually quite uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. I couldn't see me wearing one for an hour and a half to 2-hours to watch a concert.
5) The final reason of course is that I am currently 32% down on my investment. Most of my other Investments are doing well so I just have to sell the one that has made me a 32% loss.
I do hope that holders do well and that this company turns around. Personally I just can't see this happening anytime soon for the reasons I have given above and for the reasons others are giving in the reviews.
