Hi Petebo,
Placebo's been on the platform since 2018. They're just peddling their old stuff. We need more new content.... Ready and waiting with an open wallet.
Thanks @petebo, I missed the tweet and it isn’t on the website yet. I’m still hoping for a website overhaul very soon, it really is necessary now they have lots more content that everything can be found easily.

What is the new content?
well mel they certainly seem to be ramping (sorry) up the releases and whilst not perhaps the artists some of us might be hoping for it does suggest that something larger may be in prospect.
A couple of large sales and the SP is holding steady!!
Another release of material, looks as though MelodyVR are increasing the content on the APP ready for a larger launch, so there will be something there for everyone. Could be wrong!!
Albert, that didnt say theatre was to take priority.
Read the update RNS from 18th March and it says what the priority is and thearte does even get a mention

Petebo, take a read of the Chairman's statement in the announcement of 19 September.
'Looking ahead, EVR has two key areas of focus, the growth and development of the MelodyVR platform, and in addition the growth and development of our joint venture with the John Gore Organisation.'
Given that JGO is not only a partner but a very sizable shareholder , and that EVR have made very little headway with gigs, it is a no-brainer.
If they streamed a group like little mix live for 60 mins this would bring the internet down
to kids -teenagers music is in their veins they watch n talk about a lot of the time
Come melody grasp the moment !
Personally I think we should be thinking of targeting the kids - teenagers that are bored at home I I personally think a live gigs is the way forward
Once kids down load apps to the phone they keep them to show their mates
Theatre can come further down the line imo
Albert
You say 'It's understandable EVR should be concentrating on the musicals' Where did you get that from? Completely untrue. Read the RNS and Music Weeks article. In the RNS there was no mention of Theatre at all
Whilst lockdown may add additional focus on VR if you read the RNS they clearly said it has negatively impapected the planned but unannoiunced gigs
What they are doing now, 3 studious 2 in the USA and one in UK, which is for music obviosly
On the face of it, the virus and the problems it has caused with closed down venues, has played into EVR's hands. (with all respect to the many whose health and livelihoods have been affected.)
But in reality it hasn't. Melody might yet come up with one or two live gigs behind closed doors (though it begs the question, why didn't they cover Elton John in LA) but since last June main focus of attention has been Broadway.
The problem now is, if the world is in trouble then New York is in crisis. Mr Trump has been whistling in the dark.
It's understandable EVR should be concentrating on the musicals as there are several advantages against gigs. There are around 40 theatres in New York. and about the same in London. The venues are fixed and ongoing with most of them showing at any one time. Presumably once Melody's cameras are set up they can remain as a permanent fixture. Most importantly the musicals would seem to be a far more lucrative side of the business. During a normal year Broadway attracts nearly 15 million paying customers. JGO apparently have a database of around 5 million. This is customers on a plate for Melody, without the need for any advertising.
The potential is ginormous, but now we are going to have to wait. The virus will pass eventually, but in the meantime we will have to be even more patient than we have already been. There is always the possibility of an RNS from left field which EVR do from time to time.
