I just think times are changing and EVe may well be a special case from where it is now and where it could go to over the next few years, but the "old Business of retail/oils/banking would seem to the slow coaches, and now its the bio pharmas and disrupter technologies that are in the ascendency for growth.
As I always maintain, its all about timing. (and LUCK of course....)
I'm not sure about me but you certainly should!
me too funnily enough. I only sold because I thought I could better returns over the year elsewhere and as a complete fluke the SP dropped soon after!. I will have me & Mrs W's ISA funds to "invest" in april and am considering putting some back in there as well.
(Do you think we should open our own hedge fund!)
That's a good point Wyn. I did tell her that they'll be a bit of buyer's regret, when she sees her £500 is suddenly down to £475 with the dealing cost and the spread.
Incidentally, I'll be back to G4M again soon, after picking up a moderate profit there. I just moved it somewhere else after the results (but can't exactly remember where now!!).
well, who wouldn't want to be in profit straight away! ha ha.
Seriously if that's important and she chooses EVE, explain that with the spread she might be looking at a 5/10% loss straight away. (at least with the other 2 companies the spreads are much closer.)
My final topup now when the price dipped below 6p....yet I had to pay just over it....
Will hold for the duration with hopes and anticipation.
GLA.
Many thanks Wyn. I shall send her a screen grab of your thoughts! I do have some Angle myself (small investment so not a worry at all, but am down) and seemed safer to recommend Eve or Avact as both seem very well set from here. I shall hope to top up Angle after April 6 as there should be plenty of time.
I just want to make sure friend starts off with a bit of a profit even if not the biggest.
FWIW D, I think Avact. There is some potential for falling from the current level if the covid test fails to materialise, but that seems unlikely now. The upside is simply incalculable so if she is prepared for a 2-5 year wait then who knows what the SP could be worth. certainly in the next 12 months it could be 2-10 times higher than it is now.
Eve, I don't know, I do blow hot and cold, only because I can't yet quite completely shake off the nagging feeling they are not out of the woods yet. They probably, almost certainly are... and yet.. Even if they are I and all goes well, there still has to be something fairly transformational to make explosive growth to say 20p plus and I can't see that in the next 12 months. From there, (12 months onwards), who knows, because with more info and updates it may be much easier to forecast
(Another stock worth researching is ANGLE (ANG), looks pretty nailed on to get FDA approval on their tech and could also see explosive growth by the end of the year (and more beyond ).
(I have holdings in both companies)
Wyn, a long time friend of mine is dipping her toe into share dealing with £500. I feel slightly / mainly responsible..
What do you think, buy Eve or Avacta, to guarantee a profit without trading?
(Apologies to others for slightly off-topic, and no intention to ramp Avacta at cost of Eve.)
Slight addendum on my last post..... better sleeping!
Some people are allergic to penicillin but it’s helped millions if not billions of others
Most if not all medical drugs have caveats.... the “just in case” but most drugs (medical and approved) are safe if used correctly and potentially help those that need them and probably say that most are not for children. They will more likely have modified versions “suitable” for use
Does everyone stop eating peanuts because of some that can die from them?
Just throwing these thoughts out there
I for one on the flip side of above don’t really like taking pills/medicine and most certainly don’t do or agree with recreational substances. Therefore for the likes of myself, something that’s been derived from natural resource and extracted the safe elements to give better living, then I’m all for it.
Thanks D-Geeman and good news on the Trust Pilot reviews.
CBD: I remember when Red Bull came along. Expensive and selling like crazy. Health scares too. I really couldn't understand why people wouldn't just drink a strong coffee. Red Bull was (and remains) very fashionable; pays for their F1 exploits too and really just strong caffeine unless I'm (still) mistaken.
It makes me think that if CBD is – and remains – fashionable, Eve might actually be onto something..
Or team up with RMS and have CBD nano-particle facemarks (and get me out of a 'paper loss' on RMS!).
I presume it would make more sense to infuse the pillows?
Not knowing much about Hemp oil I googled it:
"CBD does not have intoxicating properties like THC, so it won't cause any negative effects like excessive sedation, drowsiness or feelings of fatigue."
And
"For adults, CBD appears to be a very safe product. CBD does produce side effects for some people, including nausea, fatigue, and irritability. It may also interact with certain medications, so always check with your doctor before use. But for children under age 21 it's a different story."
So a bit of a mixed bag. I only mention this so as to get some perspective on this product as it seems to have caused huge spikes in the SP a couple of times already.
Genius,
I think your original understanding is correct ie Eve will just be selling CBD oils. I can't find any reference anywhere to Eve announcing CBD-infused mattresses (can you?) and suspect it's just yet another inaccuracy from thearmchairinvestor, whether just incompetence or deliberate misinformation.
My understanding was that Eve were just going to be selling CBD oils. The below article (shared by D-Geeman) suggests that they're now also looking to insert CBD into the mattresses. If this is true this is very interesting indeed. Price ticks up higher from here in run up to results before taking off on results in less than two weeks time. A great time to be holding!!
