Incidentally, I received this eve auto-response:
'We’re so sorry it’s taking us a little longer than both you or we would like to get back to you.
It’s busier than usual over here at eve and our team are working really hard to get back on track.
If you’re getting back in touch with additional information, not to worry, we’ll add this to your ongoing case.
You’re in the best place for a response though. If you can avoid contacting us on other channels we’ll be able to help you far more quickly.
Thanks for bearing with us
Your eve sleep team.'
DND2136, if you post on the AVCT BB you'll be accused of being ANOTHER alias of NDN. NDN gets a lot of stick there. You should do it for fun; I will Rec you whatever you say :)
People do buy one mattress and then another for the second room etc but yes, they are not an everyday item. I think that's why eve are expanding their range quite a bit. Their 'Sleep Away' range is doing very well.
I checked and despite what that article said, Emma do manufacture in the UK :(
how many beds do people buy i wont be buying a new one for ten years
Dontgive, I suspect that they'll say they can only tell you what they tell the market (through RNSs) but that things are going to plan..
I mentioned to eve customer services about Eva (australia) and the fact they do gift cards. Maybe they will pass the message on. Organising Gift Cards is a hassle and a cost but maybe there are benefits, such as cash in the bank account before people cash in their cards, and also people might buy a £400 mattress after receiving a £100 card and making up the difference.
For wedding lists (might be quite a few more weddings to catch up in the coming few years) there doesn't seem to be an alternative to giving a cheque for a mattress atm.
Anyone not happy or having doubts about the direction of EVE ( but from the presentation it just seems time should get everything back on to a steady footing) and have concerns about the SP and/or the ongoing spending strategy could maybe email EVE Investor Relations to ask for reassurances?
