Good simple explation
Expect the argument to continue though.
We need new levels of simplicity.
No illusion about that

I love a bit of Carol..
Can all the Carol Vorderman's stop squabbling, please and thank you.

We seem to have this every month
If the trade is stamped with a buy it is above the medium of the spread, therefore buying pressure as the sp is going up and vice versa. It really doesn't matter if it was a buy/sell as if above medium the indication is sp is going up as above the medium in the spread. So if it is actually a sell trade above the medium it is still putting the pressure on the sp to go up.
GLA
It is not necessary for each sell to have a buy or vice versa. This mechanism is not really understood by many.
If I choose to sell a share and no buyers exist, the MM HAS to buy them. They then have 3 days until settlement to find a buyer. The spread is there sometimes to entice or deter one side of a trade. Because these shares are relatively illiquid this is seen as manipulation.
Its down to the false spread -
HL gives 26.50/28.00 - have complained to them as EUA seems the only share where spread has been consistently inaccurate.....dont know why, but Lenoman has explained it well.
Anyway we are all here for the best outcome.......looking forward to next few RNS form EUA....which we know can come anytime !

"The exchange" doesn’t know what trades are buys or sells either JT. There is no buy/sell flag set at trade completion.
Carlitto
Its not about that.
Its how the data is relayed from the exchange - it's their mathmatical model.
JT
Agreed leno. Yes, we're in a great position.
Sorry JT but have to agree with Builder. Did try dummy sells earlier giving up to 27.45.
Current sell price 27.41.....
Builder,
No probs, lets not all fall out over it, we are as holders of this beast, in a great position, and bottom line IMO, is that current price is manipulated for the MM's, and wont matter one jot, when all is concluded.
IMO all buys (add 1hr to times)

Thanks leno, my point exactly.
There is no accurate printed ratio JT because buys vs sells is estimated. Simple enough for you?
Other posters have asked you - what is the ratio then ???
if 9:1 from LSX is incorrect then what is ????
Builder,
I understand where you are coming from, if you look at the trades on LSE, the bid is 26.50 and the ask 28.00, the mid point is therefore 27.25, and the algo will determine that anything above 27.25 is a buy, but if you look closely, you will see trades at the same time priced at 27.33, and 27.60, both classed as buy's, but obviously not, it's just how the system determines it, dummy sells are the only real indicator, but even those can differentiate, depending on your broker, total confusion lol.
I agree, mo way for me to explain it any simpler JT. You quite obviously don't have a clue. 9:1 buy ti sell ratio my builder's a**e.
Builder
We give up too
No way to explain it any simpler.
GL with your next school
Cheers
JT
Don't give up, you are correct and it would be good for people on here to understand. There is a culture on here that the MM's are manipulating everything to do with this share.
JT
Cheers mate & would agree with large buy to sell ratio & earlier forward sold & indicates short of stock to fulfil buys .
Some nice kippers slapping on d3ck
Rums all Round
@TradeTime...preach lol
Try being invested with Alba Minerals....Good RNS = SP drop ??
I give up.
By doing a dummy sell. LSE figures are just based on whether a trade is above or below the mid price at the time it was printed.
Builder, that will just give you the sell price that your particular broker is selling at.
I’m confused, if the data is inaccurate, how do you know that sells are marked as buys? Unless you sold them how would you know for sure... JT Macs figures seem to match LSEs. Where are you getting your information from?
