Let’s have a a Rum & a chuckle
A nipper was awoken in the middle of the night by strange noises from his parents’ room, and he decided to investigate.
As he entered their bedroom, he was shocked to see his mom and dad shagging for all they were worth.
“DAD!” he shouted. “What are you doing?” “It’s ok,” his father replied. “Your mother wants a baby, that’s all.”
The nipper , excited at the prospect of a new baby brother, was pleased and went back to bed with a smile on his face.
Several weeks later, the nipper was walking past the bathroom and was shocked to discover his mother giving oral gratification to his father.
“DAD!” he shouted. “What are you doing now?” “Son, there’s been a change of plan,” his father replied. “Your mother did want a baby,
she now wants a new Audi !

There's an awful lot that has passed through these boards over the months Tilly, it's just trying to put as much of what is out there together to try and give ourselves the best possible picture we can get. I hope it's the 8 week window and we hear at the end of it, but, like everything else with this we'll just have to wait and see.
Time is ticking and those buyers will be wanting to get started with things like clockwork with the forthcoming season, the open pits need to be started this season imho, NN current problems point to a need for fast to production assets to come online.
All the best to you mate, keep those crazy jokes coming, they've brightened the mood on here many times!
GLA
Tilly, you are one of the top guys on this BB. DO NOT EVER CHANGE. Nobody is perfect and nobody deserves to be on the pedestal or in the pit but you my friend really help to bring the REAL investors and true believers in EUA together and for that you will always have my admiration.
I am currently drinking 19 crimes The Uprising Red Wine which is part aged in Rum Barrels. Do I qualify as a pirate?

A couple of Bot Flies were in court for charges of verbal waffling ,
10 hrs into the hearing they plead guilty ,
‘ why didn’t you plead guilty at the beginning & save the courts time ?’ The judge demanded
The Bots replied ,
‘Well , until we heard all the evidence we thought we were innocent! ‘

"Advising on market comparable valuations"
So where people have been comparing to Sibanye for their shareholder valuations to get their SP guesses, the investment banker has been doing the same. Playing quite a critical role, and when you dissect Eurasia's sale process to date you can see exactly how each person and advising body falls into place for the bigger 'For Sale' plan. It's all very interesting and teaches you a lot about mid sized deal procedures tbh.
To give people a good idea, if he wasn't needed when he sold a portion of shares for his urgent cash call, then you can ascertain that his roles mentioned in 7 have been completed!
GLA
I've found it Tilly -
"Most mergers and acquisitions can take a long period of time from inception through consummation; a period of 4 to 6 months is not uncommon."
https://www.forbes.com/sites/allbusiness/2018/08/27/mergers-and-acquisitions-key-considerations-when-selling-your-company/?sh=6aff87224102
We can only presume at this stage that that time frame relates to your average small company due to the suggested closing time frames for mid sized deals elsewhere. 4 months for a mid sized deal would be a struggle from what we know of suggested time frames for certain portions of the M&A process, closing would be three quarters of that frame with a mid sized deal you see.
GLA
It’s 105 days until we can have a beer with anyone, anywhere, so as long as it doesn’t take that long we are ok, lol. GLA
Mac ,
Agreed & None of us know the duration of the deal or the potential figures chucked on the table ,
The link I posted was general on m&a the paragraph above was from another link but doesn’t matter was just quoting what I had read , all not related directly to Eua deal .
Prepared to wait as long it takes to get the best deal , however would be chuffed to meatballs if landed during march .
Like I said not my field , I will stick to markets & crap jokes & camaraderie.
Cheers mate
It's quite possible that people are simply getting confused about where we're currently at in the FSP/M&A process, how long each stage takes etc. Where people say months from here, for it to be completely finalised that looks to be correct, for the binding deal announcement however, that looks to be imminent. Of course, the finalisation could be done quicker than what is quoted in that article, that stage all depends on the lawyers tbh. We'll see once once that binding deal lands flapping away on deck : )
GLA
We could be in for a long wait once the deal has been announced from what i can see -
"The average time to finalize a merger or acquisition has risen to 38 days after it has been announced — 31% longer than in 2010, according to Gartner, Inc. Closing dates have grown even longer for midsize deals ($500 million to $5 billion) and large deals (more than $25 billion), which take an average of 106 and 279 days to close, respectively."
https://www.gartner.com/en/newsroom/press-releases/2018-10-15-gartner-says-the-average-time-to-close-an-manda-deal-has-risen-more-than-30-percent-in-the-last-decade
We're going to fall into the midsize deal area of that article, by most peoples valuation guesses anyway. During that wait the SP will be around the deal price level though.
GLA
I can't see any mention of a time frame here for going from non-binding to binding Tilly -
https://www.ilpabogados.com/los-10-pasos-de-una-adquisicion-fusiones-y-adquisiciones/
I do recall someone stating the average time of the entire M&A process was around the time frames you state.
Non-binding to binding -
"5. Second Bidding Round and Process Letter II
By deciding on whom to admit into the next round, the process officially enters the second phase. This phase is determined by the opening of the virtual data room as well as intense due diligence done by the prospective buyers and their advisors. It usually covers a range of four to eight weeks and is governed by the process letter II. Towards the end of this phase, the buyers, given continuing interest, must submit their binding offers, which determine who will enter the final negotiation phase."

Thick as two short planks !
Just rushed out on deck & Septic Lils sat there on her own looking Gormless
So I said ,
‘Why are you sat here on your own ?’
Septic replied ;
There’s no one on deck I think All the shipmates are probably watching the band
So I replied
There is definitely no band playing today
Septic answered ,
But I definitely heard a shipmate shout ..

She’s as thick as two short planks but we love our Septic Lil

Not offended by that statement as said the below
Like I said certainly not my area of expertise at all & like I say no one knows that answer as I’m sure the detail must be rather complex otherwise piper wouldn’t be involved ,
Just googled it previously , however not really bothered as prepared to wait no problem for the conclusion
More interested in the market behaviour over coming weeks , months .
Normally, the process takes between 4 to 6 months. The period will depend on the urgency of the buyer to carry out Due Diligence and complete the transaction, and whether the selling company is able to complete the competitive process of selling a company, whilst generating interest from multiple companies.7 Sept 2019

thanks for your reply Tilly. It does seem to be very close now. Fingers crossed.
PS. Is there really going to be an EUA party? I think that's a splendid idea.

I believe the markets believe it’s imminent as ii & other investors have increased holdings & will be anticipating some sort of update during March & thats my thinking also .
