Hi Postman, I'm 62 now, retired at 58....father died a long time ago.....ma's still with us though, she's 90 now.
Ah, if only Aston, I’m 59 now (and retired) and unfortunately my father is no longer. That’s the only thing I’m envious of: people who still have their parents..
Grinheyi
If you call them up (II Interactive) they will do the Bed & Isa on the same day, but there is a small charge.
The SP seems super-stable today, totally different to previous weeks, like the calm before a storm, hopefully a big uptick round the corner.
Currently with ii. Did a bed and isa the transaction was processed on day 4. A scary time I can tell you.
In the short term nobody really wins if a deal isn’t completed as there’s been a lot of time and expense thrown at this.
In the long term share holders may see more value but I don’t think that’s why the majority are invested here
Ubs will work to a guideline with the BOD and explain realistic expectation. Ubs will then obtain offers within pre existing conditions set. The BOD would have to accept offers that ubs achieve within those parameters
If ubs get a deal and bod reject it do they still get paid or are there built in clauses
Indeed Judge-mental, I was in SXX and that was a leaky old barge, EUA is as tight as a submarine several fathoms deep
the most remarkable thing here is the lack of rumour ??? With other shares something will pop up and cause a ripple sometimes with foundation sometimes complete fantasy land but the vice like grip on any info coming out of what must be " end game, almost there, iron out the wrinkles negotiations" is pretty impressive.
Postman.....surely your dad'll lend you it.....(that's the advice my kids get from their friends)
Cheers Aston. Alas I don’t have £13k lying around. I’ve done it before with smaller amounts, then ended up keeping the ones I should have sold.
Or do it in chunks
PostmanPorsche...I opened an ISA and bought the same amount of shares, then sold the shares that were outside of the ISA wrapper....I felt as if I had more control if I did it that way....if you've got the cash, that is ?
Similar boat postman I have 20k shares I haven't managed to ISA yet but luckily(?!) sat in the red on those so unless some miracle sale happens of £3+ I don't think I'll be paying CGT anyway and not worth risking being out in any case 20k shares is 20k shares I want in when the sale happens!
Postman Porche, if you are with II then if you transfer over the phone it is an instant trnsaction. in any event, whoever you are with, its surely worth the call?
GLA Interims are due anytime!
I could really do with transferring 70 odd thousand of my shares from my trading account to my ISA but daren’t risk it as it takes a couple of days. I’ll just have to pay the CGT.
I have a notion that the fomo brigade do not wish to risk wandering right now !! The risk increases with every day passing and right now in my view is a very big risk indeed ! gla
