I an 67 and have had my AZ jab. The only after-effect I had was a sore shoulder. Had several discussions with friends on this and the consensus was if you were over 60, after-effest were minimal but the younger one is the immune system is more reactive and therefore more side-effects. Also a 60-year-old friend of mine, she had covid last March and suffers a mild form of long covid and the AZ jab knocked her our for 4 days
The late Joan Sims, the Laindon station master's daughter born 9 May 1930, The Sims family were well known in Laindon in the 1930s and friends of my grandparents in Laindon.
My mother was born in 1924 and so older than Joan, but because my mother's parents were friendly with the Sim's family Joan and her parents were at my parent's wedding in 1947, and a young Joan Sims is in the wedding photo.
Later on, my widowed grandmother and the also widowed Mrs. Sims went on holiday in 1960 to Switzerland, and I have a photo of Grandma, and Mrs. Sims, sitting at a table outside a Swiss cottage along with Joan Sims.
Joan must have wanted to treat her mum to a nice holiday, and grandma went too!
My first encounter at meeting Joan was back in about 1967, I was walking along Soutchurch Boulevard with my parents when we walked past this open-topped parked sports car, we had only just gone past when this shout-out came! 'Bob' we all turned round to see a lady wearing a scarf over her head and dark glasses, Bob was my dad's name! we walked closer to the car, still none the wiser as to who this lady was?
She removed her glasses and exclaimed! it's me, Joan!
We were soon all up to speed and probably not seen each other for eight years! I had never seen Joan in real life at all, but instantly recognised the lady for being on the TV the previous evening in something?
Turned out, Joan had bought her mother a lovely house along Southchurch Boulevard and was visiting for the day and waiting for her mum to get in the car to go out.
This all changed and we went inside for a cup of tea and cake, along with all the grown-ups reminiscing where all the years had gone!
I would have been 10/11 at the time.
Just reminiscing!
The mention of 'Carry on films' brought those memories of that day back for me.
Oh, good the share price has gone up in the meantime :-)

Ian I had mine 2 weeks ago and felt like I had been run over by a bus felt a little better the next day and just like a wrung out rag on day 3. If you get side effects it is supposed to mean your antibodies kicking in and is a good sign.
Ian, had mine at 5pm, was fine, next day dizzy and spaced out all day then that night felt sick, heart racing and ached like hell plus boiling hot. Following day just aching. Hope you don’t get any effects

Rums all Round
Yea I have to say I was in and out in 15 mins. Very well organised. Hope you don’t get much side affects Ian. Mine started 8 hrs later. Never felt the jab. Fair play to the volunteers and NHS. Impressive fete. Right back to EUA and the impending sale.
Hi Ian, well done on having your jab, an Army medic gave me mine, and I think that’s the most painless injection I’ve had off anyone. Well done to him, and a big thumbs up to everyone involved no matter where they are in this country. I hope you don’t get any side effects at all mate.
ATB, Pete

Oxford on Tuesday. Then In bed for 36 hrs with nearly all symptoms. But that means it’s working. I read The Oxford Astra Zeneca is like this.
I had the Oxford too. Can't help thinking it's a hoax. Didn't feel it go in, no lines of clapping nurses and no side effects. ;-/
Thanks... I'm hoping it's no worse than when I actually did have COVID back in September... two days of aches, pains, shivers and headaches... but okay after that! Just topping up my antibodies this time!! :) Theoretically. See how it goes today.
I have also had the Oxford, you feel crappy for a few hours, I went to bed early and felt great the next day.
But now Bill Gates knows exactly where you are !
I had the Oxford. Felt tired after 4-6 hours. Really tired after 10-11. Then uncontrollable shivers at 11 hours. Went to bed shivering and feeling really rough. Woke up at 10am feeling awful. Was pretty much fine 2 hours later. My friends tell me that the Oxford jab seems to do that to a lot of people. Hope you avoid the worst of it!
Well done Ian... got mine this morning too... at 9:05am (five minutes after yours!). Also got the Oxford/AZ one. Very quick.. painless, and the longest part was filling in the consent form beforehand, prior to having it! Feel okay with my choice to get it. Saw a few anti-Vac people on this morning... but I think we should all do our bit to help quell the pandemic! No side effects just yet... slightly heavy-headed, but that could be the RUM!! :)
Nice one Admiral
Glass of Woods and relax ??????

A funny old world we live in! .....
Good morning all
Will today be the day?
Yesterday was good news for any investors that have not been able to shelter ALL of their EUA shares from CGT TAX, as it's not going up this year! thank you Rishi Sunak.
Yesterday, more shorts closed out on this stock!
Yesterday, Philip Taylor added to his pile of shares, remember when he bought those original 29,000,000 they were as cheap as chips!
He had to sell some due to upcoming prospective house purchases, that unfortunately, fell through at the last minute!
Missing his original massive holding number, he has been buying back those he sold, but he is not made of money although his EUA shareholding is worth millions, to buy the shares back he once owned is now costing him dear, and he has to sell other investments to fund this ongoing theme!
In case you have not worked out, Philip Taylor still has more to buy to get back to 29,000,000 ground zero, so expect more purchases from him any time soon as and when his funds permit!
Any stock Philip buys is good for us, so well done Philip Taylor.
Today is Thursday, an RNS favored day for EUA to release these lovely things, will we get one today :-)
