I read this bb whenever I can, love the comradery, humour and great information. Recently some posters seem to have become antagonistic and post rubbish just to promote a reaction. This then seems to descend into a personal slanging match. I've learned that the more people ignore them the quicker they go away. I don't filter anyone but I don't read quite a few posters. I could do a list of the great team players here but I'd worry in case I missed one! I've been here since January last year, absolute newbie at 61, and bought 50k at 3.8p for £2k and only added ever since. I have complete faith in the BoD and very confident in a brilliant outcome. Deal of the decade/century? As Mac would say 'feet up and very relaxed ' Arrrrrrr....
First purchased in Feb 2004 @ just over 9p. Paper certificate still clasped tightly! Topped up many times since then, and repeatedly over the last 9 months to make my holding a potential ‘Retirement pot’. Enjoyed this board and participated in discussions several times, but rarely comment now as I don’t want to add oxygen to the flames raised by the naysayers by engaging in debate with them over a difference of opinion. I’m very confident that the eventual value realised at completion of sale will be beyond the imagining of the vast majority on this site, and on that basis, every bit of spare funds I have continue to be invested in the company and will be, up to and beyond £1 a share. Ignore those who spout nonsense, ignore the impatient late comers, and ignore those who are happy to engage in long debate about minutiae, they only seek to clog the board and obscure the true value. Hold tight, accumulate when possible, and enjoy the ride as this vessel gathers momentum on the tide of positive sentiment that will continue to emerge as we near the Herculean conclusion. GLA.
Still in after 2 years plus. Unfortunately slightly underwater due to buying all the way up but luckily still buying now to lower the average. I’ll continue to buy until the sale Completes. In it to win it.
Haha. Thought of that after I pressed the return key. Stay down there ****ney's. You can shaft us northerners from where you are - you don't have to move up here to do it. Why do you think that they are building the HS2 PP?
GFD and all LTH's. I don't think I qualify to be long term for being here since 2019! But like the rest of you, I am here until the end. It's strange that I never considered 'stops', 'averaging' or 'slicing' on this one - it never seemed to be a candidate for those measures - I just piled in. Two lots in ISA's as well. Me impatient? Nah - this is the easiest wait I have ever had!
Don’t post often but read every day. Grateful for those that share research and keep spirits up during the lulls and bot attacks.
Been in since June 17 and like many going nowhere. I feel a bit conflicted in terms of timelines, I’d like the certainty, and headspace, of a positive conclusion but feel very comfortable remaining in as the dynamics are overwhelming for value creation. Wouldn’t it be great to get a lovely divi and roll the PGM dice again ;)!
GAZALA69: yes it’s getting busy here in Bev. We’re toying with the idea of moving to Lund. My girl is selling her one bed flat in London for £570k which will get us something very nice here. Plus, we’d really like a £2 special dividend so she can retire. Onwards and upwards.
It was tipped in the Sunday Mail, forget the year but we were in Spain, lounging on sun beds alongside the pool when I read out the article to my wife suggesting it may be worth a go and could be a sound investment. Informatively she reminded me of my other shrewd investments citing AMC and my failure to sell at their peak. I cut the page out and chucked it in the suitcase. Months later while packing to go away I found that page, read it again and decided to go for it and bought in.
A good while later I boasted to my wife that EUA had doubled in value to 2.5p. She exclaimed “ you need to play safe, sell half and take some profit for once , you know what happened to your AMC shares at 40p and now they’re 2p “ They just won’t let go will they !
Well, you guessed it - I did ! I sold half my holding.
Anyway, since those 2.5p days I have taken pleasure in slowly and regularly recouping my holding and an almost equal amount of pleasure in constantly reminding her of her financial advice !!!!
Addendum. Incidentally, topped up yesterday, 26/7/201. Totally committed and here until the end..
"That's up north, aren't houses about thru'pence ha'penny up there."
As akin to buying a one bedroom flat for £500k in London. I live in a 4 years of age 5 bedroom detached house and I can see the Humber Bridge towers from the 3rd floor.
Beverley is getting a bit build up now isn't it PP?
In since April 2020. Same average as PP (Used to be 26.5p - sorry to disappoint Ndn19) Didn't think I'd still be waiting on any sale 15 months later but that's how it is. Surprised at my patience. Amazed at some of yours. Will still be holding for EUA part 2.
I have not been around as long as some of you guys / girls, but have bought and have only added when I can, and will continue even after the dividend. We have been on a long and gruelling journey, some longer than others, but we will all end up winners.
I did £5670 at £0.0119 back in 2019, sold a few and added more along the journey very up down as we know but lucky to have got most of it correct, obviously if I knew better could have got all out at 40 p and got back in lower. Couldn’t we all. Just hope days and weeks now not more tediously manipulated months. .
The hardcore LTH's are still around, that's all that matters. Before the bank RNS of 2019, there were less than 10 regular posters on this chat board. Most just as positive as the others. Advfn also had quite a few LTH's over on there, not sure what the situation is on there these days though a i chose here as my posting board. It's in the public domain, it's nice and simple to use, it's practically the first board that any new shareholder stumbles across on their EUA journey.
Here's to all shareholders still holding strong at this stage, to all who have weathered the numerous lame attacks on here and to all who are about to receive the special dividend prize, well done to you all. Koka kola's all round aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhh
Just looked up my trading history. I first bought in May 2017, with the lowest price paid being 0.33p in Feb 2018. I added 2.5 million at a cost of £20k on the morning of that epic RNS on 24/10/18. Since then I accumulated more and cashed in some, but still have a large holding. I am constantly nagged for not having sold at 40p, but I can see that the shares are still way undervalued and cannot believe that the stream of good news has not propelled the shares further forward. Let's hope I won't have to withstand the nagging too much longer!
I sold all my holdings b4 suspension for a small profit when it was @5p. I have now got about 200000 shares average of 21p. I will not make the same mistake this time. Good days are getting closer but need steel of nerves. GLA
