I used to be trading EUA from when I bought at 2.45p in October up until February. During this time the share had enough volatility to easily rise or fall by 20-30% on some days. It is never easy to sell right at the peak and buy back in the trough, but I usually worked on selling at what I thought was a good price 1 day and buying back in again within 24 hours at 10% lower. Doing this bought 10% extra shares each time so I found it was a good strategy to increase my holding in EUA without increasing my initial investment. Everything was going well until my last sell at 6.22p just before suspension. The plan was to buy back in at 5.5p-5.7p again but the price kept climbing so my last sell became an unintentional top slice. Initial investment was 22,000 shares but at 1 point I had almost 100,000 shares before ending up with my holding to 47,777 shares. After EUA came out of suspension I won't trade EUA again (unless I did a top-up first and use just the top-up to trade).
I love black pudding and also the square sliced lorne sausage Ian, but being based in South Africa means I've never seen it for sale out here. I've occasionally seen haggis for sale in the butchers but I've never tried it. There are loads of German ex-pats living in our town, along with a smaller British and Irish community. We have a German deli that brings goods over from Europe, but the British store we had closed down a couple of years ago.
Cheers for that Ian..great idea..must give that a try. Obvious places for brekky here, like
Surf Shack, Inn on the beach but plenty of guest houses looking for business.
Must give it a try thank you ..pompey
Afternoon Pompeyrod,
It is the Gleneagles Guesthouse - http://www.gleneaglesguesthouse.co.uk/ run by Penny and Gary, I approached them about a year ago and said any chance of just breakfast and they were very pleased for our trade, it is usually just the three of us and we are known colloquial as the 'Thursday Boys' when we turn up, we have a nice big table where we can spread out the papers, the food is delicious and toast and preserves included with as much tea and coffee as you can drink for about £10 each + tip.
We used to go to Pattisary Valerie but then they changed the opening times from 8 am to 9 am, then they put the prices up, we used to sometimes have the three egg Omlette & Chips with a side salad for £7.99 and that got changed into Omelette & Crisps? they dropped the chips! and the side salad and put the price up to £9, that was it, off to find another venue.
with Patissary Valerie a breakfast £9 plus two coffees £3 each set you back £15 + tip so we get much better service a lovely atmosphere, social chat, and great value for money :-) always a good thing for OAP's :-)
No, we don't book as we are now regulars, and yes we all know each other by first names so I suppose good friends.
You have a good day too Pompey, all the best.
Ian.
Hi Ian ...good day to you sir...I’ll take the black pudding..love it.
Did you say breakfast at a boarding house? Rather than a restaurant..what a good idea.
Did you book it or are they friends etc. Plenty round here looking for business .
Yep good day here ... can hear the frantic scratching of quills as the numbers game folk do
the sums ...whilst I would be happy with +50p I’m of the opinion it will be in the £1 - £2 range.
Her indoors will wear out the card I’m sure and the kids will be ecstatic.
Have a good day matey..pompey
Tilly,
It certainly was, the full mashings, but I'm not fond of 'Black pudding' so that goes to the first bidder who wants it!
Steady as she goes Captain...
Ian
Good to see you On deck , superb mornings sailing & I assume was it a full English with all the trimmings
Must say I had a lovely breakfast with two old work colleagues this morning and put the world to right! the guest house has currently no guests and was pleased for our custom as we were the only customers, very sad.
A lovely start to the day to see the share price up, as it should be, but so sad that these so-called investors are acting like traders and happy to sell on a T10 or T20 gain when so much more could be had by holding out, the company is making money, fully funded, and is up for sale, a perfect opportunity to make lot's of money easily and with very little risk.
This is not some distressed company whose future depends on this sale, or if not it goes to the wall... This is a profit-making organically growing company that has been approached by outsiders wishing to purchase it!
A totally different kettle of fish to the normal AIM company sale...
Let's see what this afternoon brings.
Good luck all.
Ian
