Calamari,
We'll never know the reason for timing, perhaps a bidder has suggested he runs operations after they buy us out, he knows us well for because of previous DD carried out?
Or you might be looking for an explication or conspiracy theory when there isn’t one.
My "guess" for what it's worth, is that a sale is imminent, it wouldn't supprise me if everything by way of the sale has in principle been agreed and the board changes are part of that, it's just now a case of sign here!
I also think the board changes reflect this, James as the new ceo brings engineering intellect, ie how to interpret and best move a new owner forward using of all the documentation that is already available to him, Dmitry’s change is because of his in depth knowledge of the company, if you purchased a company, you would want the person with the most knowledge and understanding of how that company works in order to integrate that into your own existing business model, but as I say its only a guess!
With the AGM out of the way and all the shorters burnt to a crisp, all the mm shananigans completed and Dmitry in pole position to seal the deal.... I think we are ready for a Sp rerate starting from tomorrow..... Oven ready for the sale of the century.
Sorry B1ll did I say it was?
@Toon.....an 'acquisition' does not mean a total sale.........the word has a definition.
It could mean a purchase of any part of Eua's portfolio of assets by the purchaser.
Mac,
Another point worth noting.
The interested parties approached EUA, this has to give DS an upper hand on negotiations. EUA didn't put up a For Sale sign hoping for offers.

Very good question and something I have been mulling over the last couple of days.
What Are Mergers and Acquisitions – M&A?
Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is a general term used to describe the consolidation of companies or assets through various types of financial transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, consolidations, tender offers, purchase of assets, and management acquisitions.
The term M&A also refers to the desks at financial institutions that deal in such activity.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
The term mergers and acquisitions (M&A) refer broadly to the process of one company combining with one another.
In an acquisition, one company purchases the other outright. The acquired firm does not change its legal name or structure but is now owned by the parent company.
A merger is the combination of two firms, which subsequently form a new legal entity under the banner of one corporate name.
M&A deals generate sizable profits for the investment banking industry, but not all mergers or acquisition deals close.
Post-merger, some companies find great success and growth, while others fail spectacularly.

Calamari, selling assets falls under the term M&A, so Dmitry’s new title make sense if he’s focusing on selling one or more of our assets.
Perhaps the appointment of James was simply strategic, as he’s got a proven track record with mining metals and Dmitry in selling assets. Or was it a condition of the II’s coming onboard? We’ll probably never know.
Agree with your 12.5% prediction, Jonesy.
Totally agree foxy I believe it’ll be a tie up with two or more of the interested parties. Each taking a stake. Norlisk will be involved in some way for use of their nearby processing facility.
40moz target, pgm district, 12% (conservative) of in Situ value. Do the math here people
That's it Foxy, a very shrewd middleman.

It's what DS does, brings assets to sale.
No ambiguity at all.
Any JV will be between the interested parties.
It looks too big for 1 company to take over. Unless it's government backed and financed.
IMHO..... gla
Agreed Mac. DS has a history of investing and then selling.
“The company said Nieuwenhuys, who is currently a chief executive officer at South African Lesego Platinum Mining Ltd, has held senior positions in the industry including chief operating officer at Russian gold company Polyus Gold.
The company said in September that the appointment of Nieuwenhuys would only occur if a potential transaction with Lesego Platinum was to progress.
However, Eurasia Mining reiterated that approach has changed and "at this stage, there is no intention to enter into any arrangement with Lesego, although both companies continue to keep this under review."
Maybe lesego will take it all and NIeuwenhuys will run the RUssian arm. Just a thought.
They also dropped Dmitry's 'Track Record' into the recent RNS. What does that say -
"The Directors have agreed to release Dmitry Suschov from the Board in order to allow him to focus as the Company's Chief M&A Officer on the M&A work streams with Eurasia's professional advisers."
"Mr Suschov has a successful track record of leading the strategic sales of companies in the natural resource sector including the sale of a silica sand mine and the second largest global carborundum production company to Indian Murugappa Group, the sale of a natural resource company to Danish natural resource fund, the sale of a gas company to a major Russian investment group and other deals."

NDA's are in place for the acquisition of Monchetundra, you can't just ignore that. The acquisition side of M&A.

Yes I also think a JV is a much stronger possibility. DS has now become the M & A DIRECTOR . M & A means to come together. Particular MERGER.
Interm report usually released around the 26th September.
“In recent months, Eurasia has received a number of inbound expressions of interest from multiple parties interested in acquiring all of or a stake in its assets. The Board has therefore decided to appoint UBS Investment Bank in London ("UBS") as its leading financial adviser to assist in a review of its strategic options including asset sales or a sale of the Company.”
The above statement (included within an RNS) clearly contemplates Parties who are interested in a stake in EUA’s assets. Stake in this context could mean the sale of all or part of an asset hence why discussions around JV’s, strategic alliances, strategic working partnerships all have some validity here.
Anders I think some people believe too much of what is written on here rather that the RNS.
Anders_uk -
"I’m surprised there’s so much confusion, all the wording within multiple RNS point to asset sales." Anders - I agree that RNS point to asset sale. The "confusion" is because Diddlor went on a one man crusade against the possibility that JV could be an outcome. It was just a discussion being posited - not a deramp or anything else. Mayt..
I’m surprised there’s so much confusion, all the wording within multiple RNS point to asset sales.
"M&A work streams" - by far the biggest tell tale of what's happening. You can't have merger & acquisition works streams without merger & acquisitions happening. NDA's were already in place for the ACQUISITION of Monchetundra, before the FSP was started.
The acquisition work streams only arrive at a certain point, that is when the acquisition is to take place.
