What a load of rubbish, Dbay is the best thing that could have happened to ESL and they are both in it for the long term.
DBAY STRATEGY
We are value investors and rely upon detailed bottom-up fundamental research to identify attractive investment opportunities in European small caps. DBAY invests in companies overlooked or deeply misunderstood by the market and in many instances out of favour with investors, often taking a contrarian view. We are long-term investors in businesses.
DBAY APPROACH
Prior to investing, DBAY commits considerable time and resources to analyse prospective investments. All investment decisions rely on a rigorous and well established review process before any allocation is made.
The question is what value do you put on green white star truthfactory ?
They don’t need it quick the dbay deal has seen to that it’s case of if dbay want a quick return on there investment and given the previous mooted plans now would be a good time to boost the ole bank account lots of bargain acquisitions to be had over the coming months and they have a majority share in an in demand sector.
I don’t have any specific knowledge but general musings seems to be the most likely outcome would be the sale of greenwhitestar holdings which as we know holds the Esl logistics business ( incidentally massively up in value since this whole saga started ) but as there is issues regarding lease of name it would be solely for the operations and not the Esl name. How that would leave the shell company I’m unsure it would certainly give a massive boost to the sp and also a huge boost financially to the shell as it has been mentioned before this scenario lends itself to the investment company plan .... or should I leave the red wine alone?
Right at the end it was 10.75 on the bid and offer was 11p with people paying 10.95.
11.22p was our closing price today, you gotta love this site.... lol
Truthfactory - or .... girteka come in and buy Esl operations ( greenwhitestar) from Esl and Dbay as they have no interest in the Eddie stobart name itself but do want the operations and U.K. footprint ????
Truthfactory
you still here deramping ESL.
get a life - i am now certain you have taken a short position here.
You will burn!!!
why else are you here deramping day in day out?
truthsearcher - aka Igbo King on twitter, the Nigerian racist , is not to be trusted lads. check his history.
You look at wincanton £2.70 and us at 10p this is laughable
BBC news just showed lorry drivers delivering stock normal six runs a week one doing 20-25 now this is multiple gains here guys on news of results
Sub contractors! Nothing to be concerned about that means that they have used up all the capacity that they have both in house drivers and agency along with all available units are in the road! If you check out the number of units that they have and then look at how many trailers they have you will see they have half as much again of trailers to units at least! They are flat out !!! Hence the advertising for drivers
yeah that’s what i mean must be that busy hiring different haulage companies to do work for them
Outsourced work still a esl contract
i seen over 30 stobart trailers this morning on the m1 and around half of them wasn’t stobarts wagons towing them
i seen a ws unit pulling stobarts trailer this morning
I agree ports are quiet but I'd be more inclined to believe Stobart will sub contract in WS Transportation to help with this additional work as well as their container trucks once construction is stopped around the country as that is one of their main businesses.
It's clear Stobart's can undercut anyone they want to keep their trucks moving but William Stobart will be looking further afield than just ESL trucks, WS have hundreds too to keep busy.
Wincanton up 10% 25p you really think we follow the ftse?
0.74% up at the mo don't look so bad
Acro the way Esl do things is pretty smart it’s really only wincanton that can compete like for like ... maybe dentressangle but realistically can’t think of anyone else ( U.K. based) that can!
Bladey I’m looking at the same
@kay... i'm looking at investing.com..showing -5.76%
https://www.investing.com/indices/uk-100-futures
Mark as also lets face it its quite hard and expensive to be a truly nationwide player such as ESL, its easy to have a smaller region and compete just for that.
I’ve heard for years how Esl are the scourge of the haulage industry and it is sour grapes! They are able to compete in ways smaller firms can’t purely down to scale
Ftse futures are down by 2%. https://www.ig.com/uk/weekend-trading
@Mark, yep FTSE100 Futures down by 5%... Not good tbvh as Covid19 has a good hold of the U.K and the uncertainty in the financial markets is the effect. Agree also that it will be another dismal week or tbh weeks.
Currently the only thing we take from this is the fact that we know that ESL is prospering under current conditions and business throughput is increasing, which includes contract acquisitions and increase in demand!
