ii is £9.99 per month for a SIPP (if you already have an ISA). So compared to HL if your SIPP is >£26,666 then it's cheaper. If you have £100k, for example, it's £330 per year cheaper. (100-26.6*0.45%). If you have the super investor trades are £3.99 even for your SIPP, so much cheaper than HL @ £11.95
Oh and 6 months free too.
Today HL announce record profits. With their charges I'm not surprised!!
If you’re gonna open a SIPP, pick one that’s cheap to run. ii is ok if you have >250K. HL is good if you’re up to about £150K as they charge 0.45%.
Also depends if you want to trade a lot.HL is 11.95 a go, ii is £7.99 and you get a free one each month for your tenner. Ii also do offers where SIPP is free for 6 months.
…not trying to teach anyone to suck eggs…but diversify. Imo no more than 5% in any one company.

Thanks for all the good advice. I'm gonna spend the weekend researching my options. I've bought Eqtec shares in 14 tranches now from 0.457pence up to 2.33pence and back down again and not sold any other than to bed and ISA mine or the wife's stocks and shares ISA. I feel over the next number of years this company could really out perform my workplace pension. Not a ramp just would like my pension to reflect my investment opinions.
I have not made a loss. I have not sold. I will not be selling for quite some time.
Lot of green boxes in this link = bliss from tenpins wind up messages!! happy weekend all :-)
Sorry for your loss mate.
Again. Nothing of substance, just drivel. I don’t normally like to partake in this nonsense, but being this blatant, it has really got under my skin. You have no information to offer. You are here solely to affect the sentiment on this board in a negative way for your own gain. Either that or you got spiked (1.94 avg here, so I’m not up YET), sold for your loss and want to attempt to drag everyone down with you.
Criag asked you a question. Given you spend all day on here it is not too much to ask is it?
Hardly calling you out.
Calling me out will do you no good. Speak next week and we will see where the sp is at then shall we? Gla
Keen to defend the investments we have invested in based on our research.
Why would you expect anything else. Of course we will defend.
By the way, we are still waiting.............
Perhaps that wasn’t directed at me, but not once have I posted a statement to ramp or deramp. I am merely calling you out on your intent.
We are still waiting on your critical analysis of the fundamentals, of which you so kindly warned us about.
Always the same old rampers innit. Always the usual suspects keen to defend. It tells all.
Yes come on tenpins we are all waiting for your incisive comment?
Perhaps not, but perhaps you could grace us with the “fundamentals” which are of your greatest concern?
Was not meant for you.
I have, and I’m not asking for your advice. In fact I don’t believe anyone has asked for it, yet you persist in offering it.
Make sure you look at the fundamentals of this company. Best advice I can give you.
I have all mine in my SIPP and a few in my ISA.
If I could give you any advice it would be to ignore the absolute tool who appears regularly on here but is not invested.
@Pegasus
IMO definitely wait before buying as all the indicators, lack of news, the infinite supply of buzzwords would make you think the sp will be heading lower and not higher. I would also suggest to have a look at the chart and the indicators.
Be mindful of the fact that you will hear everyone on here saying ‘get in now before it is too late’
This would suggest that you cannot get in once a bit of good news comes out and you are ‘too late’
To me personally that is a heap of cr@p. You can always ‘get in’ especially when we have 70 or 80 odd ‘projects in the pipeline’
IMO wait before buying and watch the company put its foot where it’s mouth is.
My last IMO:
This will go lower.
I see Jarvis are cheaper per year at £100, £10 fee for every trade.
Usually takes between a week and a month. I use ii.co.uk, very straight forward website. £20 a month and one free trade a month. Have transferred half my pensions over.
Yep. Move all your non final salary pensions into SIPPs and invest the money in what you want, especially Eqt.
I have my EQT shares held in my SIPP which is administered by Hargreaves Lansdown.
Hi everyone, does anyone know if eqtec stock is currently held by any pension investment funds. I am considering managing my Scottish widows pension a little more personally and thought as I'm already invested here through my stocks and shares ISA why can't I also be through my pension as well. Any ideas
