I agree,no more investment here for me too. Don’t know where this will end. Should have sold week ago. Now I am worried it will go to 0.25 again. It’s at my stop loss level, and I don’t want to press the sell button yet.
so the obvious question is why would they not patent their tech in the US in the same way they have done for the other markets they operate in ?
Who the f are syngas
Until this matter is resolved I am putting any further investment in EQT on hold. I did ask EQT if they had a copy of the claim but are declining to provide copies.
Lovely cheap shares. Loaded up.
Eqtec bought eqtec iberia in 2018. It is 100% owned by Eqtec
Bit hard to get a patent on technology you don't own the IP on
Yes that my understanding is it licenced from Yoel aleman . Is Eqtec Iberia a subsidiariy of Eqtec Plc
From the Eqtec website:
Patented technology
In the second half of 2014, EQTEC Iberia has obtained the award of two patents recently published in the Official Gazette of Industrial Property of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.
01. “Method for gasification reactor of solid organic materials and employed”
02. “Process for the development of a gas stream from a gasifier, thermal cracking tars and renewal with steam and employee reactor”.
03. “Process and cogeneration plant through the gasification of organic solid materials”.
No the tech isn’t owned by Eqtec Iberia stop lying .
The tech is owned by Eqtec Iberia, which in turn is wholly owned by Eqtec. So yes they do. Stop scare mongering
In the ordinary course of business all IP opportunities created by an individual or team within a company are owned by the employer. Staff need to keep an up to date lab books etc. as an audit trail of work done and when it was done. Pretty common stuff....

debcashew - In relation to your 11.09 post if Yoel Aleman was working at or for Aries then that might be a problem. An employee does not as I understand it automatically own the patent or IP rights to an invention made in the course of his employment.
Not two but eight patents have been granted to Aries for innovations in the gasification field.
Try this for the international filing of the EQTEC patent with the WIPO.

Aries has two separate patented gasification technologies that have applications in the reduction of PFAS. Still trying to find more info.
When you say no patents protected in the USA, do you mean to say that they potentially might have a case against them here? Or not? Curious on your views I may be misreading your post slightly.
Eqtec has 3 patents:-
Patent 1. Core Gasifier Technology. Patents covers the following geographies: UK, Spain, Croatia, Poland and the EU.
Patent 2. Thermal Cracking Reactor Technology. Patent covers the following geographies: UK, Croatia, Poland, the EU. and China.
Patent 3. Process for increasing the global efficiency of the plant. Patent covers Spain only.
No Patents protected in the USA.
