What do you want. A willy shake?
For what it's worth I had a very good 2020 with AVCT and ORPH. I very much doubt I did the same as you. lol.
Lol, UJO and RBD. What a fantastic combination. I'm sure you're well quids in Selfish!! I will not bother to explain why your personal investment "justifications" are wrong "mate" but suffice to say 6 of my 7 oilers have done very well during same period of time whilst holding EOG and I'm in loss on only one of them (now sold). Can you (truly) say the same?
D'head, you are the ridiculous one. ' will pop in from time to time to see how everything is going '. What are you, some type of stalker? Good riddance.
Hey PB2 - I just got fed up with the placings mate, especially after that loan. I personally never took part in any of them. This is certainly fair value at this price with some potential upside - just from my perspective and risk profile can see better value (for me!!) elsewhere.
We all have different reasons for selling and I hate to say I was still in about 35-40% profit (because I know a lot of long termers on here suffering) and certainly do not want to sound like gloating. I would have long sold out long earlier because what got on my nerves was, I bought for a diversified asset base and didn't feel it was highlighted enough of the change of that strategy (i.e. effectively all Ireland) and had I wanted that I'd have bought PVR, who were clear that was their strategy and in my opinion had better (Irish) assets as well however, was under water for a long time but, was luckily able to average down and get out at a profit. Best of luck to everyone, all IMHO and DYOR.
Truly hope this comes good and you guys can have a good laugh at my timings in months years ahead!
The RNS is not a reduction in holding, its just their percentage has dropped with the increase in shares issued in the placing. They did the same notification when the first tranche came to market.
Dunderhead is out, one of the long termers. You have made me nervous, as did the RNS. Reducing the minute we have a kick.
It was sad, but nice to see Jadee talk about Romania and France. Then you know those, like me, that pre date Hugh.
Selfish don't be ridiculous, the Irish couldn't give away the "assets" in the exploration rounds and a large amount of them have (already) been written off. It was a very risky and to be quite frank stupid strategy but Hugh should've been reined in by the BOD at the time as well.
In his defense he certainly believed in what he was doing and put his money where his mouth is which is great.
By the way everyone on here will be happy to hear I finally cleared out my holdings recently but will pop in from time to time to see how everything is going - already about 15% up from my average sales price, lol but I think me and a few other "larger" sellers may have been a bit of "drag" as well! All above imho and dyor of course.
Very best of luck all and hope the Inishkea finally gives some rewards especially for the long termers who have held through thick and thin and supported the "management" team in lots of placings!!
Very true, whatever did Hugh end up doing next, does anybody know?
I was always a supporter of Hugh. He put his money where his mouth was by buying hundreds of thousands of pounds of shares (at the market price), and established a fabulous portfolio of assets.
If he should have anticipated the oil price crash in 2014, the change in approach to domestic oil and gas production by the Irish government, the professional resistance to production at Holmwood (and subsequent kick in the guts by the UK government by not renewing the lease on the land), the fight year after year to overcome the Unite Union backed NLC planning committee to get Wressle into production, AND the shockwave caused by Covid19, then yes, it was all Hugh's fault. But I shouldn't think there were many posters on here who knew all those things in 2014 either. In fact, not even Paul knew them, did he.
From memory when Paul left I think the SP jumped by 4p that day
Bought my first 8,065 shares at 14.65p back on 9th November 2010.
I have continued to contribute to my two favorite charities ever since (EOG and The Salvation Army).
I currently hold millions of shares but feel that my contributions to the Salvation Army have been more fruitful and better for my blood pressure and soul!
Hugh did not do a lot for this one but maybe he should have got a job with the Sally as a fund raiser! they would have done brilliantly!
It has been very painful , followed every placing and believed in Hugh, i originally was in when Paul was the big cheese, how i wish he had stayed!
Hello Jadee. You've been in EOG for 13 years? Wow, I've only been here for 9 years and I've seen a lot of **** in that time.
