We could see 30p next week
There is also good news for the over 70's regarding the Pfizer vaccine that most of them had back in the winter.
After a patient study in the US, Pfizer have said that a booster jab this Autumn will give optimum high level protection from the Delta variant of Covid.
That will help take some of the pressure off the NHS this winter.
When the pot gets bigger dilution is never an issue - the SP has already grown more than 5%.
He asked that he kept his percentage pre and post OO the same.. ie no dilution..
The rest of us took a 5% hit, but could have bought more in the market at 21p post OO
So, AB did take part in the placing also.
If he only acted according to OO he would get 10m shares more. But now 27m more.
Hitman - buzzard phase 2 will add another 11k barrels net so I think personally it is too large for ENQ to acquire, and also probably a bit more core for Suncor?
Would be great if they would sell it on similar terms to GE!
Are they looking to get out of the North Sea?
I’m waiting for Mrc to start de-ramping - specially after having a go at Chilting for selling out.
Well done MrC.
Nice 100% gain from your buy in so don’t blame you for some profit taking....
Hi L3T
Had a brief look on Suncor.. never knew they owned 29.9% of Buzzard and 40% of the Rosebank Project. Wonder if Buzzard is our next acquisition as it produces 22k/day net . Sounds like a good fit to me. . Suncor seem focused on buy backs and divs so another disposal might be on the cards. Our new RBL facility and cash in the bank might cover the cost once the Bonds have been renewed. Looking at a $700m plus price tag.
KO - there may be very few things we agree on, but this one I do. :-) Get as many vaccinated as possible and lower the risk for serious variants coming about. Vaccines do work well on variants, better against some than others. For example, better against Delta than against Beta. The sooner Covid becomes 'normalised' in the wider society like Flu has, the better it is for us investors too...Conspi******s just don't help.
hitman1a, please do read suncor 2nd quarter update and transcript from earnings call. They are so keen to complete the deal that I am assigning probability of 99% to it completing. They say it will be in Spetember, and all is on track.
By the way, thank Therapist for finding relevant Malaysia related news. I expect ENQ to announce something there by the end of H2.
ATB
David Dickinson would be thinking it could well be worth more.. but we don't own the asset yet, so hold your horses..
24p : horse in the stable waiting for the right race with the right prize money.
GL
Its all these stupid thick idiots believing the vaccine is some sort of experiment not taking it that's giving the virus breeding grounds to mutate into a stronger virus.
What's wrong with people ? I blame social media for allowing these conspiracy theorist to spread this utter rubbish. Bit like flat earthers FFS
£30p soon
Simple maths says on the basis this is a reverse takeover.. the old Enquest was worth £300m.. and the new asset GE is worth more: eg £325m. So added together £625m /1,886m shares : 33p
More sophisticated people from Jefferies, Barclays and others think the same.
Of course we could.
Barring anything major, we can at least expect some volatility while the future hangs in the balance.
If the US take everything down then ENQ will be a decent place to hold or add.
ENQ still my largest holding but I have taken the opportunity to reduce what was frankly a stupidly high exposure ??, and move some of that to cash (at about 20%)
Chilts - that's all that poor 'I told you so (and hopelessly wrong)' GKB can hang his hat on. Conspiracies and more of them. His shi*ty $55-60 Brent targets for 2021 have been left hopelessly behind. We'll learn to live with Covid and that's just the way it is. Vaccines have helped enormously and there's no two ways about it. Anecdotally, Missus and I were double-jabbed a few weeks ago - she had symptoms last Friday, confirmed PCR test positive on Monday and the symptoms were still like a bad flu. I have no symptoms and have tested negative. Taking into account the wider evidence that Vaccines work well against the Delta variant, It's proof enough that vaccines work and do prevent bad outcomes - conspiracies from numpties not withstanding.
This one is an interesting technical real on higher high trend in oil prices - sets us up well for August and September, before consolidation begins. The new stimulus in the US should help too.

Enquest break-out on the cards in the coming days!!!
So you reckon we could go down from here MrC??
gkb
The actual evidence is that is the vaccine that's pulling us out of the mire and without it we would be deep in a third deadly wave - so forget all your negativity and conspiracy theories.
Could be Chilting, but that’s not what the scientists are saying?
Same as last year, summer holidays come, everyone’s outside, kids off school, think everything’s good, fear of testing in case it ruins their 2 weeks in cornwall.
If there is no vaccine evasion then I agree the West is well placed. It’s Asia and Africa where this could still get really serious. China’s vaccine is supposedly not great so they may need to go deep with their lockdowns to control delta
The Delta variant is the fast track to herd immunity that will probably see most of the Northern Hemisphere clear of Covid before Christmas.
Todays leaked news from the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention stated that the Delta variant is as contagious as Chicken Pox and that it can be spread by vaccinated people asymptomatically.
When it becomes clear that Covid is behind us, world markets, including the oil market, will finally be unshackled.
Depends on macro I think.
Delta variant raging, and US Tech having a bit of a wobble wobble IMHO.
I don’t think you will see 15p unless we go back to lockdowns, or if China cases take off.
Of course if US equities do have a big correction then all bets off.
Will this push through 25 or crash down to 15 again as it has done so many times, just don't know with this market & a bit nervous.
