Open means different things and actually nailing the specifications is contrary to Open as it defines. The important point is that it is interoperable. Ethernity doesn't develop for any existing framework but float amongst several main markets. There is absolutely no need for the framework to be the same as each ecosystem will evolve into the perfect creation for the environment, load and respond to the ever changing demands. Above all Open must be strong and flexible.

apologies if old news but this is what I meant earlier . it seems like the big boys still aren't quite getting it. perhaps when they become desperate for more knowledge and products to fit the bill we will see further interest
As they say In the goldrush it was the people selling the picks and shovels that made the money.
All the lists I see are upstream companies listed in the US. Ethernity uses products from some of those companies and are interoperable with products from others. What Ethernity does is not something that can be touched or held. It cannot be promoted to the public or sold at Currys. It is not something that is easy explained and when you do it dives of in a direction that you just haven't seen.
I think that the sustainable rise will be steps forward and backwards but generally heading up. When we get news with figures attached the market will wake up. We all know what is coming, we don't know when it will start to be recognised by the market. We know that Q1 is the start, the start will be small but it is here now.
I think that we will know much more very soon.
Skid the first aim company I invested in was Ukog just after the term ‘Gatwick gusher’ was coined. It was the most insane couple of months both with regards to the sp and bb going bat**** crazy !! Nothing has quite come as close to that so far but let’s wait and see with enet lol. Certainly any lists of top 5G investment lists I have come across have just included the biggies like Xilinx and Apple!? Will be great to see enet on some of those lists this year. GLA
Agree with that take skid, interest in ENET is definitely growing and the sp is in an uptrend.
I’m surprised someone like TechInvest or SCSW hasn’t picked up on ENET yet.
If the ‘cost’ for a £5 sp is hordes of folk posting on these boards that’s a price I’m quite happy to pay!
On a slightly more serious note this is a good board and an asset to the company in some ways. It would be a shame to lose it. I know you can set up private bb’s which can be by invite only. Perhaps an idea if/when things get a bit daft?
Just a thought.
GLA
Don't forget that were also mentioned as a Vendor to Watch in a February 2020 Gartner research report titled "Market Trends: Function Accelerator Cards Disrupting Traditional Ethernet Adapter Market".
That was a year ago. I wonder if there'll be a follow up ?

I think Herald taking a stake sometime in q4 shows this is getting on the radar somehow with institutions, I know Herald is a bit of a one off with a very qualified team who I assume do a quarterly analysis of every AIM tech company they do not own but are on their "interesting watch list". I know a lot of institutions will not invest in companies of enets current size of even if it is below 100m share cap irrespective of how they view its opportunity.
For private shareholders I believe it will be a combination of as Tracy says a couple of days on the leader board (with a transformational order there will be days of 50% rises) and write ups by midas, tempus, questor, IC etc who will find, according to themselves, a hidden gem. I have seen articles in investment magazines headlined "companies to benefit from 5g" and then listing Vodafone and other large caps.
You can see through the bonkers valuations of crypto, cbd etc companies in the UK and the following they have, there is a tonne of hot money in the UK market prepared to ramp and dump. I think we may have to get used to a board with 200+ postings on a day of this takes off.
don't watch rugby but glad to hear Wales beat us for the non englanders here! If enet continues the upward trend some of us will feel very fortunate to have capitalised on the dip whilst the market caught up. Not really a concern but I wonder if the verdict of the initial rollout will be underwhelming in certain countries , perhaps in Europe(4G+). This could see ENET show up in a "told you so" problem solving manner ! Apologies for the basic language . good luck this week atb.
I think that we will get a chairman update and a trading update very soon probably within 2 weeks.
The share price is not an on or off button. A sustainable rise will be a continuation of the rising trend. The share price is on or even just below the trailing trend line. News will turn it up no news will drag it out before turning up. News will be positive compared to the previous update even just because scheduled events are now closer. The new shareholders don't even know Ethernity exists yet. A day or two at the top of the leaders board will change things.
Lots about to land and the next 6-9 months should be loaded with progress.
Yes the SP should be in £'s not pence but it is what it is and I am not crying about it.
You can't help wondering when the market will start to assign value here. ENET have got themselves into a really great position for 5G rollout and the increase in data traffic generally. Anyone who knows anything about investing knows that the real value comes when you buy early, albeit at greater risk. I planned to start buying ENET in 2021 if all was looking good and it cost me dear when the shares doubled at the end of last year. I wonder how many others are waiting on the sidelines and how long it will be before this starts to move. It's no good waiting until an important deal is signed because it will be very hard to buy then. There are plenty of companies out there with big aspirations that sit on crazy market caps so I wonder if ENET will suddenly jump. What do other holders think?
Spardun, hoping for 2 out of 2 !
Indeed Skid: let's hope from the dual perspectives of rugby and ENET that 2021 will be the year of the Dragon! However, with the way ENET seems to be going about its business, I sense the share price might be getting larger hikes via half yearly trading updates than "regular monthly updates". Thanks to the more knowledgeable contributors we can see the direction of travel, and, as a patient Board of seemingly LTHs only, IMHO we don't need the blockbuster headlines which attracts the traders and rampers. Daily volume is significantly higher than 6 months ago. But one day, a trading update could well produce such a blockbuster headline once ENET hits critical mass, and then momentum often takes over.
With a diversified portfolio to spread the risk, I'm now just focussing on increasing my allocations in ENET and ORPH as with a fair wind, both appear to have clear potential for both significant long term capital gains and dividends (cash or in specie). So for UK investors, the double if not triple tax advantages of ISAs/AIM shares require thoughtful consideration of which shares to shelter in the ISA.
However I am aware of the very international nature of this Board, so apologies for the domestic focus of this post. And for the Sinophiles, 2021 is actually the Year of the Ox!
Good luck all LTH.
This year for sure. Mass deployment in China will commence H2 but decisions about how will be made now. Field trials or small scale local networks are the start. Actual performance will determine the level of resource required for mass deployment. China and India look like Ethernity initial hunting ground.
The DU product currently with server vendors is a real game changer. Huge market, 3 vendors already engaged, development and testing ahead.
Next is commitment to a product line. They will position this product in their end to end solutions and they will be available to integrators building Networks.
We'll see income this year, H2 will be much better than H1. By year end the projections for next year should be a profit. The dynamic changes at that point.
Morning skid, morning all.
This does feel like the never ending calm before the storm.
I've been invested here for several years and built my own holding up over that time, and plan to add further. I agree that our small band of PI holders here probably do collectively own a sizeable stake.
I'm fortunate to have been in this (long term hold) position before with one or two other unloved nano caps, and have witnessed the explosive rises that can come when the penny drops for the wider world.
We patiently wait for what we know is coming for this little unloved (by the wider investment community at least) gem of a company. In the meantime we are lucky to enjoy in depth technical contributions from TL and several others, which help enrich our understanding.
I still believe this is the year that the re rate begins. News on several fronts will come , and soon I'm sure. All the above imho of course.
Take care
Alca
Even with the share issues I would hazard a guess that the regular contributors to this board must be approaching 15% of the company. This must be very rare, if not a unique situation for a UK listed company for ten or so private shareholders to have built such a holding.
I know in the short (6mths) and medium (18mths) term my holding is going absolutely nowhere, I believe other posters feel the same so finding shares may be difficult.
I keep on stating the building of my holding has stopped, after Friday I think it has - will now sit back and enjoy the ride for two years plus. I would be worried on a cash raise, with the value of the holding I would not have spare cash to participate.
Yes. I am ready for some ridiculous rampers coming into this board, although they might be right they may not understand why they are right.
I am dreading the first Simon Thompson write up (he will find enet very late and claim he is brilliant as usual) as this does bring a large number of blindly stupid followers who buy without further research, this alone will raise the price a minimum of 10%.
Getting excited then tired of seeing an rns being issued, then to see it is just an issue of shares. Looking for regular monthly news for the rest of the year.
Lastly, come on WALES !

Sadly if the SP moves dramatically higher and draws in the short term punters and gamblers the tone and decency of the posts will change.
For a year or so there has been just a few of us here encouraging and consoling each other so perhaps nothing lasts for ever.
I hear what you are saying with regards to the bear posts Dallo. It is mind blowing If you think what could happen here in terms of reward, but I agree there are no certainties in this game nor fairness and my eyes are wide open. In my experience of aim this board is unique not only for its depth of knowledge but also , and I may be being totally naive here, a general sense of decency and we are due some more abuse when things properly get going! I have always found those posts bizarre though , kind of pantomime villainesque . Who knows maybe in ten years time we’ll find out aim was run by the robots . As long as they’re connected by the 7G enet etherverse I’ll be happy. Another Gin please dear Atb
Good post dallo, very much agree with your views.
I think it’s almost a certainty that there will be another placing, and that could be very beneficial if it is to accelerate growth. I would like to think the sp at such time would be way above current levels, double at least would be my minimum acceptable level. But we will see.
Good to know management remain confident on the prospects as publicly stated.
Just need that news flow, but I’m sure it will come.
With respect to Cambridge and his views we should welcome bearish posters if they are logical and reasoned giving counter arguments against the bullish concensus.
We all know there is no such thing as a risk free investment and Ethernity is still high risk.
However at a market cap of just £16m , exciting IP protected in part by patents in a massive growth
market with a management team with huge skin in the game it represents an excellent risk/ reward opportunity.
However there no guarantees in life or the Stock Markets and only time will tell.
The downside is possibly a takeover by a bigger player before the full potential of the company is reached imho .
However one or more major deal announcements
could transform the investment case and market perception in a flash and drive the SP to £1 or more.
A further placing can not be ruled out if funds are required to propel growth but hopefully at much higher SP levels.
I know that management remain very confident about the prospects as stated publicly and not interested in running a public company at the current market cap .

Buys and sells are just about the mid price. The mid price is all about the MMs. We only have 6 so sometimes it lags a bit. This is why I often post the actual price from dummy trades
My sell buy hasn’t shown up yet . Is there a ut aswell?
Thought so , thanks fairview
These sites are all the same, they just take the mid price then put the trades in the appropriate column. That’s all they can do. I know some folk think it’s a MM conspiracy, but trades are not labelled buys or sells so that is the best sites like this and a d v f n can do, which is totally fair enough in my book.
Have a good w/end everyone.
1st week March next week, without wishing ones life away, we’re rolling along.
I bought some today at 33.15. They are all showing as sells on ADVFN but that is obviously wrong.
Damn it uhlf I’m blaming you for raiding the kids account ! I couldn’t resist a wee slice either. Hoping for more news next week Atb everyone
