My post related to a statement from the Zambian Gov. May or thereabout this year.
Keep up to date son.
An eight year old document that at a glance has absolutely nothing to do with the RCPP or the $455 million high voltage backbone transmission infrastructure that will support electrification of the southern and northwestern regions of Tanzania. I could be wrong, although currently I don’t really give a **** :)

I suggest you read the last section about sumbwanga power. The majority comes from Zambia. With the interconnector, it will link to the east Africa grid including kenya and the new dam in Ethiopia.
esquimo
I wouldn’t waste your energy (no pun intended) :)
Strange you should say over capacity of hydro power in Zambia with the severe shortages due to drought so they are looking at wind and solar to replace their hydro power. They are in the power pool for a reason and it's not to sell power at this moment in time due to the failure of their hydro power.
Over capacity from the hydro in Zambia. If you look at the lines to be installed, the sumbwanga line was a branch, not a primary. If sumbwanga was to be the source it would be a primary line
Diggerman says: “I believe this has potential but very high risk”
Hello, this is AIM where have you been for the last 10 years?... Oh yes, you disappeared for nine years without a single solitary post only to return with nothing but conjecture and negativity... lol
If I remember right, the sole purpose of developing the Rukwa coalfield was to provide fuel for the power project, they were not given permission to sell outside of that although that did change.
If Diggerman can explain where the power to supply the power pools is to come from with a convenient substation at Sumbawanga I will be all ears!
I am simple as to the mechanics, when it comes to mining coal, but to suggest that the partners dont know what they are doing is extremely ludicrous!
Diggie you dont have to say it is bad, as your previous posts say as much.
I'll believe the information in the EDL RNS their simple to understand!
A decade of decline and diggerman accuses many of being carried along with the hype. Why would diggerman want to give balance?? He doesn’t believe there will be a power plant there. Guess he’s not been keeping up to date with the closing $455 million interconnector AND knows better than the Tanzanian Government!?.....
I believe this has potential but very high risk. Too many on this board seem to be carried along with the hype and I'm trying to bring some balance. I don't think i have ever said it is bad, wouldn't be here if i did. What it needs is some serious investment, not only on the equipment but also on the resource to bring it to a reserve. Once there then the right approach can be made for equipment and processing methods.
I don't believe there will be a power plant but there is a market on east Africa to make this successful.
Diggerman, you do ask for trouble calling BE simple, don't start a fight that you can't win.
I did think that you had some onsite info but your answers don't exactly convey that.
your recent post reminds me of someone riding a horse backwards looking at where he's been rather than where he's going.
You've now gone from intimating that EDL is a failing mess to declaring it a fantastic company.
Fantastic it may turn out to be the near term returns might be better described that way, as an opportunity to recover ten yrs of investing.
Too cheap!
I got in at the right time, can only go one way.
I was actually answering a question posted by esquimo.
Let's be honest, even if there was only 40Mt (25%) of sellable coal at $10 profit, this is still a potentially fantastic company
Diggerman would be considered an industrial spy if he had any credibility/provenance whatsoever.
Just another anonymous naysayers imo
I think it’s fair to say that Edenvilles known proven coal is well documented and has been scrutinised over very many years. We know with all licenses the known, but not proven coal reserves are colossal circa 4 or 5 times the 173mt
Why is Diggerman suddenly so intent on spreading negativity???..
That was the simple version for a simple person.
There are far more detailed papers available, use any search engine.
Anyone can put anything on Wikipedia!
Dyor.
I would start by looking at mineral resources classification of Wikipedia and then look at what edl state they have.
So really what you are saying is ILTL due diligence is poor and they have no idea what they are getting involved in?
Therefore you know more than large shareholders, Lind, ILTL and Edenville!
Sorry diggieboy I just dont go with your statement.
All i am saying is there is a difference between resources and reserve. Just because it is in the ground it doesn't mean it can be economically mined. There is also the question of the status, to build a full economic model, the coal should be classed as a proven or probable reserve.
It is acknowledged the coal is mixed with other materials hence the need for a wash plant, not necessarily poor quality in itself, just a messy formation so the impurities have to be removed.
Everyone seems transfixed on 173Mt but i would be surprised if 25% of it could sold as a clean product.
Diggerman, genuine question, if what you say is correct why is it that the cement manufacturers are placing orders for the coal?
Do you know something that they don't or do they know there own business a little better hence the interest in Rukwa coal, It would seem ILTL is prepared to invest time and money into selling this poor quality coal.
PS your Oct.1st posting has disappeared completely it's not showing in your posting history???
Why did my posts get deleted, the resource tonnages for measured, indicated and inferred came from the may 2019 investor presentation and the definition of resource and reserve came from google. The economics are not proven until it is a reserve.
