Buy back in melville1 (loch) it’s going to kick off :)
I vote Michael Bay to direct the screenplay. Guaranteed fireworks!
In a weird sort of way, it’s almost better to have an on/off switch finale to a stock like ECR. It either hits the jackpot or dies trying. Nothing worse than a share than goes sideways in the doldrums for 5 years.
Although it doesn't quite make up for being significantly down here, this bb has been a real highlight. The whole ECR drama has been played out here in full. We've had some brilliant debates, discussions, fallings out, lost posters, gained new ones, had contributions from all sorts, rampers, de rampers, etc, etc. I've watched many boxsets during this pandemic, and this ECR bb has felt like a boxset in itself. I guess that's what happens when you live with a share/bb for a long time.
On my scriptwriting for this drama, there is a happy ending but also a tragic one. The happy ending is the CresWick results smash it, we get not only the two new licences, but also the Ballarat one, securing us that JV at long last. The tragic ending is we don't get any of these things and lose our existing CresWick licence in the process.
So, will we have a happy ending here, or will the last of us have to switch off the lights? If the latter, which one of us is going to be the 'Last of the Mohicans' here?
Of course, none of the above is meant to be taken too seriously, I'm just rambling....
Bit coin buyer ... lol . Spell checker perhaps needed . There's no O in Melville . Lol .
Indeed . It's more about the company than individuals. I took a loss but not life changing .I will see what develops here and if they turn it around I'm sure several will reconsider their position. The way I see it it's best to take a moderate slap than a full blown kick in the teeth .Only time will tell if I was right .
haha Melville, we all pick winners and losers. Still expect this to be winner despite being well under water atm!
I knew I remembered your name from somewhere....M... https://youtu.be/teiA9rfV9G0 :)))
I think if we are all honest Melville...we have all had a right Royal Rogering across the board with with a few exceptions
balancing the portfolio.....
My advice for what its worth is stay steadfast nothing has changed but sentiment....
Its understandable when the main man passes at 51 yrs.... FFS..its only money .....
Xmas is coming and Bitcoins getting fat..... I think we will bounce back by spring...
Have a great evening all holders and posters :)))))
Well I expect a lot of people have lost money on shares , even you Dv Harrison ? Lol .
Losing money usually leads to increased bitterness and cynicism. Prime example on this bb today lol
Zebbo , it might come as a shock to you .... but I don't NEED A REASON TO POST . I will post when I like and I will abstain when I like , but one thing we can perhaps agree on is this ... I will never have to seek your acceptance before doing either !!
To be fair to loch (melville1) he is frustrated and rightly so! Losing thousands is not a good position to be in. He is not the only one! Difference is for a lot of us we have not sold. So he can speak his mind he has earn’t his right to say whatever he likes.
Melville1. Lets be honest, who would spend their own valuable time posting on share they dont own
Simple answer;
1. Cannot get over the fact that they have sold at a loss. Just cannot move on
2. Want to get back in cheap
Lucky orange .This is a public forum .I was invested here for 18 months but not now .So you think me " calling it down " influences what is happening ? What a load of tosh. You have done nothing but call it up all year and it clearly hasnt worked. So now you are perhaps looking for a scapegoat .Fill your boots .If you got it wrong that's your fault not mine .Many are underwater here , some of them influenced by rampers like you to be fair .Only a week ago you said the sp would be back to 160 . I have always said I believe in the projects. But I and many others feel like we got shafted , or certainly somewhat deceived . The sp position isn't my fault . It's a lot of things that have nothing to do with me . Accusing me of calling a sp down is not only impossible but sounds a bit desperate to be fair .
The daily posters on here that have rose-tinted glasses on are as bad as the doomsayers, you can't trust either side, IMO. How can you post almost daily when there is SFA happening, so why would you do so? Supposed 'investors', makes me chuckle.
If you don't own any Melville it is wrong for you to sit here and keep calling it over / down , I'm pretty sure if you were still invested here you would tell others to eff off doing similar, give it a break eh!
The others who have sold are not doing similar why would you?
I don't like the sell off but it does have the feel of a distressed seller , once it stops then the sp goes up.
Indeed. It was supposed to have had a cash injection to improve everything.. fat lot of good that did!
MentalMax , The licensing system is an absolute disgrace .Even Craig Brown himself said that .The timelines involved are off the scale .
The JV situation in my mind played out as follows -
(based on my recollection from various podcasts)
- CB was in discussions with an interested party, they visited sight for due diligence + were in the process of completing legal paperwork (dotting the I's). Unless this particular deal was contingent on license approval, the interested party is either still waiting, or given up and moved on (which would place the blame on the licensing system not ECR).
- CB then made it clear that he would only JV with the right company, but the phone is 'ringing off the hook'. He made it very clear that he was only interested in partnering with a big boy. I felt at the time that Craig's flippant (and mildly patronising) dismissal of the 'other' interested parties was a bit OTT.
- Craig announced that we'd be drilling CresWick ourselves. This was either part of the original JV's requirements (prove up the ground more and it's game on), or the deal was off so Craig had no choice but to kick off the campaign himself. OR, the initial partner is still waiting for the licenses so Craig didn't see any harm in drilling some holes in the meantime (possibly risky if the results are poor as it may deter the partner.. or on the flip, give ECR room to negotiate a much better deal).
I think Alan (or whoever) should ask about the JV situation in the next podcast. We have no clarity or closure.
Craig seemed particularly stubborn when it came to JV's. But Craig is no longer with us. Will the new team decide that a deal with a smaller entity is better than none at all? OR are we still waiting for licenses, and then potentially bag a monster deal with a big boy and send ECR into the heavens?!
I'm gunning for the latter!
GLA
Legal wolf, We were all " SOLD " the idea of a jv by the company which got everyone excited . We haven't had one snippet of information to tell us who the interested parties were or why no jv ever happened . I think many Aim investors are sold a dream but very few actually come to fruition . Looking at the situation here I believe we might well have been one of those groups . A great deal of promise but very little substance on that front which has left many people feeling somewhat , led down the garden path , shall we say ?
Fundamentals remain the same. Unless you were cashing in for Christmas it’s all about global influence this week. Millions of years vs a twitch in the frailties of man.
I think we are likely to see 1p here in the absence of positive news. I'm going to hold what remains of my holding until we get the CresWick results. Fingers crossed.
And to think, this time last year, we were all so so excited about the prospect of a JV with Newmont and predicting double figures for the share price.
I’this cannot go any lower…. Except I first bought at 0.7 and 6 months prior is was 0.4… trying not to out psych myself !!
