China JV deal. so looking forward to how actual big the deal will be. It’s going to be ridiculous. we have the tech they have the resources. Shots fired
Has seemingly gone quiet on the China JV?
Worrying.
Haven't popped in for a while.Takes me back.Pre-merger time last year and upto that disastrous virtual agm (for the sp anyway) were grand.'Twas really volatile afterwards til settling around here.Anyway i do understand the realities of setting up businesses and getting em running.Just reminiscing.
Story dating to 23 March 2021.
Posting this on old thread as searching Swansea against this site and DVRG doesn't seem to surface link. But thread does have mention of Swansea.
Posted previously (seems familiar)?
"Researchers from Swansea University have developed a unique device that can detect COVID-19 in common wastewater.
This new sampling unit will be designed to provide real-time identification of the disease, meaning communities could be alerted if there is a suspected outbreak in their area."
Project lead Dr Sarper Sarp comments:
"The fully integrated system will be tested and verified in a laboratory using wastewater samples provided by Welsh Water, in readiness for commercial roll-out."
"This project will integrate continuous monitoring to create an early-warning sewage surveillance system against COVID-19 outbreaks.’"

Articles states, have developed, but also will be designed to... So unclear where they are at.
Well at least we are all aware of them...
How is DVRG getting on in Wales?
Thanks for the reply @gjbrandon. It speaks volumes to have a CEO of a multi million MCap company take time out on a Saturday to reply to share holders! I don’t think we would get that anywhere else. I appreciate what your saying and I get that there is a bigger picture here. It would be unfair and unwise for any of us to think that market sensitive information would be given over a bb, but it would be great to see DVRG as a piece of the puzzle going forward. I am looking forward to future updates and RNS. All the best.
Manually dangling a plastic bottle on a wire into waterflow is not 24/7 AI 2sec real time.......!
end of..............?
All the best (is what we do............. :()
Catch up...............?
or we are in the lead, but bound by NDA's...........!
All the best (either way, it ain't clear atm........... :)
Hey Chesh, GB would not be able to tell us if DVGR or MWG We’re involved, that would be material and could only be announced via an RNS IMHO, unfair to ask him on this board.
I find it strange an RNS was published late Friday, I still can’t figure out why that was done, any ideas ?
So we're not involved in the Gov.uk incentive then Gerard..........?
Copy that........!
All the best (other focus on is paramount.......... :()
@Burt2000 I can confirm that all of the technology is already proven in other areas outside of what we are doing, individually. We looked at this from an engineering perspective to solve a societal problem, not only to detect the virus. So simple answer is nobody is doing what we are doing as an end to end solution, with joined up thinking to solve a global problem, not just an individual diagnostic problem
Just a general question to all holders and the many helpful researchers on this BB, does anyone know of any other company in the UK that can provide and supply the same real time detection tech and equipment as DVRG/MWG/Aptamer/Rinocloud etc? I can’t seem to find any.
Maybe GB could confirm if he knows of any competition who can provide what deep verge can and are as advanced in terms of timescales as deep verge are?
Copy that Glebe............. :)
I maybe should've popped "and bounds" after the "It seem Wales is on the lead in this, and real time would help out in leaps..........!"............ :()
just trying to link the RNS to the media News out, and DVRG/MWG and hopeful that we are instrumental in providing the "real time" rather than manual, labour intensive, dangerously time lagging methods being adopted............ :()
All the best (I'm all aboard the good ship DVRG............ anchors away......... :()
Chesh ... looking back and up to date with relations at Bangor , interesting to note Dr Davey Jones latest tweet "Defra UK
@DefraGovUK

The UK has made a breakthrough in using science to tackle #coronavirus.
Scientists can now use sewage to detect local outbreaks, even when people don't show symptoms.
When you read the full article it's also interesting to note that going back to June 2020 it says this, A government-led project is successfully detecting traces of coronavirus in sewerage, providing an early warning for local outbreaks across the country and sharing data with NHS Test and Trace.
The programme, which was first announced in June, has now proven that fragments of genetic material from the virus can be detected in wastewater. This can then indicate where a local community or an institution is experiencing a spike in cases.

When you look at Integumen (deepverge) for June 2020 we have this statement...AIM share code: SKIN
22 June 2020
Integumen PLC
("Integumen" or "Company")
Integumen COVID-19 MTA signed with Aptamer Group Ltd
Collaboration targets wastewater identification of local COVID-19 hotspots
Integumen has signed a Material Transfer Agreement ("MTA") with the Aptamer Group Limited ("Aptamer Group") to develop and manufacture aptamers to detect SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater. The aptamers have the potential to play a key role in the real-time identification of localised COVID-19 hotspots in wastewater, from which authorities can be alerted through Integumen's real-time alert system to prevent the spread of the disease to the wider community.
The MTA formalises Integumen's access to Aptamer Group's raw materials for coating aptamers on silicon wafer surfaces at nano-scale. Integumen will provide the Aptamer Group with access to its UK Sand Hutton manufacturing facilities, which specialises in laboratory grown human skin equivalents specifically designed to host bacteria, virus and fungi. A pilot batch of the aptamers will be tested on Integumen's SARS-CoV-2 model virus. Once initial testing is complete in two months, validation on the real SARS-CoV-2 virus will be carried out at the containment level 3 ("CL3") laboratory in the University of Aberdeen.
Upon completion of the validation study, Integumen and the Aptamer Group will enter into a longer-term supply agreement, with Integumen manufacturing and commercialising real-time pathogenic virus and bacteria detection devices through its production, sales, marketing and distribution channel partners around the world.
Chesh,
I think that the detection of viruses in waste water is nothing new, indeed I believe in the USA they are even starting to track Polio, what is different with DVRG is the passive testing the, machine sits there and alerts the stakeholder if there is an issue, as far as I am aware all other waste water testing is done manually , I also believe that the tec has very strong worldwide patents, for me this is the Jewell in the Crown, its application will be for things like Cruise Ships, Rest Homes, Offices, anywhere that would benefit from continuous monitoring of a group of people, currently testing is done by taking a sample manually, therefore there is currently no such thing as automated continuous monitoring, apart from the DVRG&RAW
Happy to be corrected on any of the above
ephemera...........!
"Dr Davey Jones, Professor of Soil & Environmental Science at Bangor University, said:
We have been monitoring viruses like Norovirus and Hepatitis in human sewage for the last decade, as part of a programme to evaluate levels of these viruses in the community. We added COVID-19 to the surveillance list in March this year.
We showed that viral levels in wastewater mapped really well onto the success of lockdown measures in the first COVID-19 wave and to the emergence of the second wave. We are now using it to track the emergence and control of COVID-19 cases and working on new pilots to map the virus at both the local and the regional scale."
Any link to DVRG or MWG to be found.........? I'm furiously looking atm........ :()
It seem Wales is on the lead in this, and real time would help out in leaps..........!
All the best (back to looking ...... :()
Also on a local basis here in Wales our news reads along with government funding........
A second waste water project is under way at Swansea University, which aims to develop a sampling and reporting device to predict the outbreak of coronavirus infections.
The programme is led by Bangor University, working with Cardiff University, Public Health Wales and Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and it has been awarded almost £500,000 of Welsh Government funding.

From advfn -
There will clearly be NDAs in place but I am ecstatic they are already working with wastewater utilities and I am sure once testing in Aberdeen has been concluded they will roll out the units with them for real-life testing. Remember Michigan is due to kick off last week in Nov and we’ve seen that MWG are retrofitting units so it makes sense. Onwards and upwards.
From the RNS -
working with multiple universities and wastewater utilities since June this year on COVID-19 related projects. The Company is involved in many projects in the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Michigan, US, Shanghai, China and Japan.
Currently, in its Labskin laboratories in York, the Company is retrofitting Microtox equipment, from Modern Water plc (a company currently the subject of a recommended offer by DeepVerge) to install these projects.
BBC news ran the wastewater story and showed samples being taken So some were saying we are not on the radar, WTF? We are still testing but will clearly be involved.
Another advfn post -
read the RNS. We are currently testing in a category 3 lab which is our stage 2 and are retrofitting units which will then be rolled out in real-life testing which will be stage 3 and we will test ‘in the field’ with wastewater utility cos who we have been working with since June. So at the moment they are testing the old school way (Physically taking samples) but I assume only until there is something better which is real-time and 24-7 which needs to complete testing then be validated which is what we will be doing in stage 3.
DeepVerge has been working with multiple universities and wastewater utilities since June this year on COVID-19 related projects. The Company is involved in many projects in the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Michigan, US, Shanghai, China and Japan.

It seems like they are part of team from different companies that is doing project, well that's how I understand the RNS.
I really hope it’s DVRG supplying this project, great to see the media attention heating up, finally the penny is dropping and those who make the decisions are accepting that early detection and rapid/continuous testing is the solution to this pandemic as it’s not going away. While lockdowns and circuit breakers serve a purpose in the very short term they are not a sustainable solution. All we need now is to throw the name Deep verge into the mix!
Cheers Gidget. I guess he's kind of saying we are without actually saying it. No other reason to rns just because of a news article. Great stuff!
Great day here guys ! GLA
He said on Twitter that it was bau so no need for an RNS, glad he changed his mind.
I'm a bit confused by this tbh. Does it mean we're part of the UK governments plans? Doesn't say that.
WOW this is fantastic news !!! Not only for the SP b ut for the benefit of mankind as we all know we have the worlds best detection and monitoring especially with AI
Nice one Gerrard GLA Roll on Monday :-)
