Data Bites #23: getting things done with data in government
Wednesday 6 October 2021, 18:00 - 19:20
Andrew Engeli, Deputy Director for Environmental Monitoring for Health Protection at the UK Health Security Agency, on the challenges of developing novel data sources in the context of the pandemic response
https://www.instituteforgovernment.org.uk/events/data-bites-23
Eight minute talk. Eight minutes of questions...
Well he be done with Reuters impact by then?
Story from Friday:
Global coronavirus research and innovation network launched
It will bring together researchers and partners from all over the world, including:
China
India
North America
Europe
Southeast Asia
Africa.
https://www.ukri.org/news/global-coronavirus-research-and-innovation-network-launched/
That list seems similar....
Global solutions needed.
"Each of us here are seeking individual solutions to the challenges we face, but only by collective collaboration, cooperation and partnership that we can find a way forward together."
That sentence alone tells me this is who they're working with behind those NDA's.
Bouncing back up
Share Price - Ouch!! - I think I'm now 'in the red' - Last 6 months has been odd and brutal from a high of 36.35p
Strange game this investing malarkey!! - On wards and (hopefully) upwards..
All the best
From the recent Q & A..
Q34: Reference field trials for the PD and the BT, are you able to give a more detailed schedule for completion?
Field trials are completed for Microtox PD in wastewater and data is being transmitted to third party evaluators. We are merely awaiting release from NDA's.
If the field trials had failed, that would result in an immediate RNS and no need for for "release from NDA's"
'other associated events' ..... hmmm, is this the big one?
This is one of the few companies I hold that I think will truly develop into something great and I suspect I will make quite a bit of money being along for the journey. DVRG just ticks boxes. It is a dynamic, fast mover, that exploits the opportunities around and it and is growing at speed. It is almost like a little money virus, moving in and taking over anything that fits its profile.
But it is more than that too. If you asked people how they wanted their money to work for them - then most would say efficiently but in a morally acceptable way. That is what this company is doing and it is doing it well not just in the UK or Europe but across the globe.
More news over the next couple of weeks.
