im surprised the SP is holding up as well as it is, given that they are downgrading 2021. With the recent dilution also to be taken into account it feels this is going back another 10-15% imo
Through the mill'
Balpa general secretary Brian Strutton said he was concerned about the "knee-jerk" way in which airlines like Jet2 had been responded to falling customer numbers due to the pandemic.
"Many of the pilots whose jobs are on the line in Jet2 have just recently moved there after having lost their jobs at Thomas Cook - these pilots have been through the mill already," he said.
Mr Strutton said Jet2 played an "extremely important role" at airports in the north of the UK, and it was important that it did not collapse:
"Once again, I reiterate my call for the government to step in, call for a job cuts moratorium, and work on a strategic support package to help this industry get through this crisis."

"Boris is. clown not fit to run a bath"
At least he's literate.
Beware the spin of the government? Don’t you mean the media!..
The virus is mutating(for the better) You’ll learn about it in due course. There’s a lot of hard left people using this virus for their own agenda! It’s actually pretty sickening!
Great news for you share holders about Spain opening up for UK people, was always going to happen as a few of their islands rely on the Brits who actually leave their hotels and spend money at local restaurants/bars.
Air passengers will be tested for Covid-19 on arrival into the UK for the first time under plans to phase out blanket quarantine restrictions, The Times has learnt.
A trial will be launched at a big airport next month that will involve travellers receiving a swab test after passing through immigration and customs.
The tests — similar to those administered by the NHS — will in time identify those infected with the virus in as little as seven hours. It is hoped that passengers with negative results will be able to avoid the compulsory two-week isolation period
jmc
Most of j2 clients are over 50 and 60+ j k ow I used to see if every day so not low risk but high take my word for it pls

Is the virus going to linger into Autumn if so run for the hills if started with a few imports in March hundreds imagine what will happen this winter with over 10k per week being infected still now
Boris is. clown not fit to run a bath
beware the spin from the governments best of luck all
The value, as with any business, is in the NPV of future cash flows. The company has been earning above average returns on equity for many years now, and is one of the best managed in the sector. With the collapse of Thomas Cook, Dart achieved a 49% growth in pre-tax profit last year. The quality of the underlying business is fairly clear in my view, however the key question any would be investor should ask is this:
As it looks like holidays will be resuming in July, is a 48% discount YTD fair for 5 months of lost earnings (plus the cash burn and debt increases)? In my view, that discount makes the share very attractive as I don't see Dart going bust, and I think the lack of travel demand argument is overdone, especially as Jet 2 customers tend to be in the low risk group for Covid
1100p not 1.10!! *Typo
Not wanting to be negative but can someone explain the reasoning behind buying in to DART? Where is the value, except on good news? I’ve tried talking myself in to this stock over and over again as when the air bridge is announced, this will shoot up to circa 1.10p, but, in the long term I see this as a 800p. The true value was to be made in March-May in my eyes!
Given the history of the company, the past 2-3 years have been their best performance, but, the country as a whole was overvalued and so was businesses and productivity.
Just need someone to give me concrete reasons to get involved! Maybe I’m missing something!
Not looking for arguments or derogatory comments, just some info!
Looks likely AirBridges will be in place for the end of the month.

Good luck

See some big sells at the end of today will see the SP down in the morning. Hopefully recover later on
Yes not nice drop but this is still a strong share and dropped for no real reason and everyone followed. Hopefully climb back up to previous highs soon. Good luck all.
Have topped up 3 times this morning around £9. IMO Expect these to hit £11 - £12 as soon as air bridges confirmed.

In view of the ongoing travel restrictions that are in place as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to recommence our flights and holidays programme on July 15th. The health and safety of our customers and colleagues is our absolute priority, and we are continuing to monitor the situation very closely.
We know there is a lot of pent-up demand for our award-winning flights and holidays, and we cannot wait to take customers away on their well-deserved holidays again.
The big problem for Jet2 is that punters are not paying the balance of their summer holiday. They are willing to lose the £60 deposit and rebook when things become clearer.
This will impact massively on DTG cash flow in the short term.
Patel needs to come put and put an initial timeframe on the quarantine as she is strangling the industry.
I personally don't see it as a big deal. The Telegraph are reporting today that travel bridges will be in place by 29th of June, so the new date should go ahead as planned
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2020/06/08/travel-bosses-told-air-bridges-allowed-june-29-quarantine-eased/
So what we all thinking for tomorrow after the start date being put back? I personally think its good news, they hoping this 2 weeks quarantine will be binned by then, otherwise its going to put people off wishing to travel. Gives customers some idea whats going on so they can make plans,me being one of them.
fyi
Erm, the price in Feb this year was in the 18-19 £ region. What are you smoking?
O'Leary is fairly confident that they're going to overturn the quarantine. Ministers have already admitted it would basically be voluntary as they can't enforce it.

According to Sunday Times Boris Johnson has told Grant Shapps, the transport secretary, to secure “travel corridor” deals with holiday hotspots by June 28
