Someone uses the App and likes it and then eats out another location on the App or tells friends and family about the App and they try it. With 1 restaurant per town and city they will never use it in the first place.
If I see any more 1 locations added I will scream. I wish they'd kept the 2 TM's on board as at least they could have shown the telesales team how to do the job correctly.
This sort of App will never work with isolated restaurants. It needs big numbers in one location. Look at Eatigo who claim to be seating more than 1 million diners per month. They have 5250 restaurants in just 15 cities. That is an average of 350 restaurants per city.
There is no bigger put off than Big Dish finally coming to a town or city near you and the diner looks at the App and sees 1 restaurant. It looks very amateurish.
Nice one Spero. Thanks for the update.
New locations Essex, Swansea +1
Birmingham, London +2
Bradford, Nottingham +1
+8 for the day
43 locations
317 restaurants
possibly more to come this morning
Essex and Swansea added
I hear that Sanj is still very much around so I can only Assume that chains are imminent as that's his only purpose!
London upto 54
One restaurant chain in the uk,that many know and use, would take us up to the 1000.
Come on bigdish!
My comparison to Tesla was in regards to Bottmzup banging the Revenue, revenue, revenue drum every 5 minutes.
My calculations of Revenue with regards to diners was in response to Bottmzup estimation of £50 a week revenue/ £200 a month.
Interesting how some have responded to my ‘over estimation’ of revenue in their opinion but not one mention from these posters of Bottom’s ridiculous estimation of £200 a month.
I wonder why ...... well i don’t actually, I know exactly why.
It’s a good sign so many de-rampers are here. No one in their right mind would post so regularly on a chat BB if it had no benefit to them to do so. I am sure the likes are not here for the well being of others.
I’m invested, I believe the prospects for this company are huge and as a result I believe the SP will rise significantly from here.
If you don’t, don’t invest......... really is quite simple ! ;-)
Daz:
Dish has 50,000 downloads, how many are active users?
Your basing your figures on every user eating out once a week? For most eating out is not a regular occurrence and I would say once a month would be more accurate.
Tesla are a world changing company in a sector that is very much in favour. Will Tesla go bust? There is every chance they could.
I wouldn’t say the dish app is a game changer, or a world innovator. So comparing Tesla with dish is pointless.
If Tesla go bust will people miss it (yes, but there are lots of other car manufacturers doing the same thing.
If dish go bust are people going to miss it? No
Dynamo, you still don't get it...get restaurants first then market to get consumers into restaurants...pointless doing it now
Bigbaddaz, BigDish reached 50,000+ Android app installs in early July.
So, it is evident from the results of BigDish for the half-year ended 30 September 2019 of revenues of £11,766, that up until then there had been a low % of download-to-user conversion rate.
In the prospectus in 2018, BigDish stated -
"For every change of 100,000 app downloads achieved by marketing campaigns, the Directors expect a change of approximately 20,000 first time bookings "
For comparison, and in stark contrast, worth remebering that tablepouncer with 10,000+ and less than 25,000 android downloads, in 2017 TablePouncer received 45,117 bookings in Bournemouth and seated 126,122 diners.
Ah bless, I was going to rec your post for all that hard work...then I thought...nah!
Bottmzup, what a load of nonsense ....... Revenue, revenue, revenue. Change the record !
Very interested in how you know how many ‘bums on seats’ there are each month ......... No need to reply, I know the answer ....... you don’t !
I don’t think investing is for you if you calculate, at a guess, that the revenue here is currently £50 a week / £200 a month / £2400 a year........ once again, showing your lack on intelligence.
The Dish app currently has over 50’000 downloads.
Let’s say that is 50’000 households, between my family of four I am the only one who has downloaded the app, my partner and children have no need and there will be other similar households.
As an example if we ate out just once a week that would be 4 dinners =£2.00 to Dish.
If the other 49’999 people that also downloaded the app go out with their partner and children or their friends that would be 199’996 dinners = £99’998 to Dish.
So based on all 50’000 + people that have downloaded the app, eat out as a foursome just once a week Dish would generate £100’000 a week / £400’000 month / £4.8 million a year.
A tad more than £200 a month wouldn’t you say !
Interesting how you avoided my question earlier. Maybe you missed it. I asked your opinion on how Tesla could be valued at £100 billion with the lack of revenue the company brings in, i believe they have never made a single penny profit.
Due to a lack of Revenue do you think Tesla are about to go bust ?
8 for the day, 45 for the week and 304 in total.
Great progress. Still a long way to go. The share price reflects the progress but also has a long way to go - upwards.

This is the only post I seem to be getting at the moment.
Ideal...thats about 100 seated then, if lucky, so about £50 a week total.
Burning through cash like there`s no tomorrow...with a trickle of revenues.
304 restaurants as of now
Chains covered by Sanj!! The same guy that chumpy thinks is totally incompetent!
And very few of them actually have bums on seats...paying their 50p per person...pitiful revenues, not enough to keep the lights on.
Your absolutely correct Q national footprint will bring national chains, that are already to come on board
Not much longer to wait
Would have been hard to believe a month ago that in only 2 weeks time as we ENTER February we will have 400 restaurants on the app
Unbelievable work being done keep it up team BigDish !!
Dalester,
I believe this is where Sanj should finally prove he's worth.
The ground work is hopefully already done and chains are just waiting for the app to look more appealing with a bigger footprint and then hopefully BOOM.
Fingers crossed
Cont. Before they give permission for their branches to get involved. Its highly unlikely that a telesales rep will be able to get hold of the decision maker without a lot of initial groundwork and ultimately it might require directors from both companies to come to agre3 amdecision. Meanwhile, the telesales operation will keep building the base both in areas and numbers within them. The bigger the base and the more independent restaurants they can sign up, the easier some of the chains will be to convince. Telesales is not as straightforward as many assume, often requiring multiple calls to each target just to speak to he right person, maybe sending follow up emails, or even letters before a decision can be obtained , and 3v3n then it might need more calls to push them for the information needed. 1 or 2 sales per rep per day would be a good strike rate at the moment , as the funnel fills up there will be less digging and more closing. I think this is an excellent start but signing chains isnt a telesales job.
Art, I presume you dont know much about telesales? If you did you would realise that the bigger the deal, the longer it takes to get organised. Bringing a large chain on board may well require head office meetings
