-1 in Poole (location removed)
London + 3
Hull + 2
Bournemouth, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle-under-Lyme all + 1.
9 for the day, 34 for the week, 576 in total.
Anyone got numbers for today?
Bournemouth is now +2 for 40.
7 for the day.
567 in total.
B'mouth is at 40. I personally think your counts are a little early in the day as restaurants are added though to 10:30am, but they are your counts so do them when you like.
I have Bournemouth as 39 which is +1. There were 2 added yesterday and 36 on both last Friday and Monday/Tuesday.
Big Dish are badly letting themselves down on their locations and geographical knowledge in general. They have the geographical ability of a bunch of Essex girls.
I consider myself pretty good at UK geography but I have never heard of Aldridge (except the ex-Liverpool footballer), Bushey , Cowbridge, Llandovery, Oakham, Thame , etc, etc.
They are in danger of making this platform uninvestable with too much stupidity. There are far too many locations and the allocation to location is being done very, very poorly.
This makes Big Dish look very amateurish both to future and present restaurants and to potential users.
I count +2 in Bournemouth, so +7 for the day.
Total location count: 120
Total restaurant count: 567
New Locations: Harrow +1
Manchester +2
Birmingham, Bournemouth, Leeds all +1
6 for the day. Week so far (4 days) 24. Total 566.
Harrow was previously a location and then some executive decision put it in London but now it is once again considered a separate location.
I would call this a slowdown - which is what I would expect considering the news at the moment. The share price of restaurant groups such as The Restaurant Group and Wetherspoons fell badly every day last week and have continued to fall this week.
I wouldn't consider that adding single restaurants in Birmingham and Bournemouth is making much progress. Birmingham was down 1 yesterday and is up 1 today. It could even be the same restaurant.
No revenue whatsoever until late 2020 when restaurant numbers significantly increase ( you could try tell us something we don't already know)
There will also need to be a fund raise late 2020 at a guess around September time imo.
2021 will be a whole new ballgame until then try not to fret about losses in the 1st couple of years of a new company, it like alot of companies will lose money in years 1, 2, especially during periods of growth.
yes but what's the revenue???
Manchester features a local Indian restaurant in Marple, which is c15 miles away.
Until there is in the 1,000 plus this will be massively loss making
too many here watching the proverbial boiling kettle
Not aiming that are you Spero.
I see 119 on the website (page footer). Try reloading in an incognito window.
Daily counts are an indicator only. For me, a specific daily count doesn't matter. I just want to know what the rate of change is over a week or two and daily count data informs this.
Good post 88
126 locations if you count from the website, bottom of the home page...why not just read the RNS for number of restaurants, instead of getting worked up about -1 or +1
Birmingham is -1 since my count. So yes +2 for the day.
We shall see. I'm sure someone will notice it if they reappear but in the meantime they are gone.
spero
I had 112 for London yesterday but the Wolf Street Food in Chiswick has gone overnight so I assume that there has been an addition in London otherwise there would only be 111. Hence my London +1 and +3 overall.
Data compared to my 2:45pm count yesterday...
-1 Birmingham, Nottingham
-2 Manchester, Reading
+2 Bournemouth
+1 Edinburgh, Portsmouth, Worcester, York
New locations (+1): Poole, Wigton
+2 for the day
Total location count: 119
Total restaurant count: 560
Regarding wolf Street, sometimes they are taken off to do some tweeks etc and then put back on.
It's happened before
I do not get the point of adding Poole as a new location. Having lived in the area for many years I know that Poole and Bournemouth are conjoined. There are already 6 restaurants in Poole that are listed under Bournemouth.
If someone lives in Poole and uses the App with the location search it will just bring up the 1 restaurant but not the other 6. This is very stupid.
Too early for a final figure but so far:
New Locations: Poole, Wigton both +1
Bournemouth +2
Edinburgh, London, Portsmouth, Worcester, York all +1
Manchester, Reading both -2
London, Nottingham both -1
Overall +9 and -6 for +3.
Wolf Street Food - a chain of 6 with 2 each in Manchester and Reading and 1 each in Nottingham and London - seems to have delisted. Not sure why.
I remember a while ago Aidan saying that the search functionality would be upgraded to compare with the well known apps out...this is something ART has pushed for for a long time...it should make it slicker but the downside is that it will make it almost impossible to do the daily counting...
OK I've got 117 locations after clearing the cache. But who cares as the numbers are going up anyway.
