Looking at trades it seems to me( may be wrong) that mm’s are fishing for cheap shares. Relying on investor weariness. S/p rises..p/i sells and it drops. Been like this all day. Is a good sign if they need shares. Of course I may not be right. I did expect a very slow and lowball mm rise . The almost always do.
A bit of buying pressure this morning but it's immediately crushed by the shorters. I think they are trying to keep this low 50's. No upwards sentiment allowed
2 studies today confirming Omicron is at least 40% weaker than Delta, and economic growth in the US is faster than previously forecast. Definitely expecting a blue day here. Hopefully it's onwards and upwards now, and low 50s will be a distant memory...
Well said mate. All for one and one for all.
Same boat and it is good to feel not alone at sea in a coracle. My ave. is 10p below yours but it matters not because this company should be worth a lot more than that. I am losing nearly a half too. But it’s on paper. I lost a lot on Ncyt as it went up a lot from £2:30 on the day I was doing a Bed and ISA. !!! I am almost breakeven on my other share Trin…areal bargain. I did very well on shares for 20 yrs until Lehmans ( held NRock/B and Bing /RBS and Lloyds) . Lost a decade of profit in one day in 2008. Then lost the rest i POG’s rights issue 15:1 and the oil crash . Ended up totally broke. So it’s good to have anything at all now but 7 years of working like stink and investing to get a bit back took its toll ! Have a helluva lot less than 10 years ago. But am a much wiser man for my loss…if not recovered.
So it’s good to hear others’ stories. 99p is still well below Placing. I assume you hold a fair wedge. I hold more than is comfortable ..trust me. But I would probably have bought at 49.8p if I could have!! He bought in at 50p . Whether that’s the floor who knows? A share can go anywhere. I held RBS at 10p in 2008! Glencore at 65p in 20-5. Ovado at 65p too. Doh! Not the world’s most proficient investor but by God I’ve learned so damn much ( rather not have). No more ranting.
Well done for hanging in there Robins and you fortunate devil CB for buying at 52p.
Like you and George Michael said..you gotta have faith.
Here’s to a better Q1I hope.
Wish you good Xmas.
Even though I have no intention of selling a single share I am still quit relieved this has not gone below 50p. Thought this Oli bloke might have taken it lower.
crl1 I have similar thoughts. I trust the BOD and must trust them with delivering on the science. In the past seen many board members of other companies economical with the truth or who recommended takeovers that were not good for the shareholders but was good for themselves. I too have no funds to buy more and my average is 99p but the board have invested heavily themselves so I am going to keep the faith so to speak.
You don’t sit alone in that boat.
But I would like to think that we are not being stupid…going on the data provided so far.
I was in SNG at 44p and all seemed lost as institutions in the US were playing monopoly with the share ownership ( see Polar Capital). It was dire. Yes I don’t think it can really be compared as I-beta was the first covid treatment and we were at the full mercy of covid 19. 4D is not the same but the principle is. I can’t guarantee we will make money or emerge unscathed. I can only use my very long and paigul history of shareholding. 4D’s share is where it is because of Oliviera. Shorters are just temporary leeches. Ocean C’s need for the money came first. The share price( like SNG) has become divorced from reality and the company. And is heavily manipulated for short term gain in a laissez-faire amoral City-chum market .
Patience and a certain degree of resignation are important. And a chosen , perhaps slightly naive , trust. But BOD have put their wallets whete their mouths are.
I have no funds to buy and hold so many already. Made my bed. Lie in it.
Let the games continue as I have been here so damn many times. But I have learned that ( with a modicum of Warren Buffet trust) not to sell a bean when the mm’s dangle their charms at a cheap price. Why would they do this unless the share was worth holding?
To me it’s let it be.
March..April….fine. Should know the score better then.
I've taken the opportunity to accumulate more today in the low 50s, bringing my average down overall by 10p. If it goes significantly lower I'll top up more, but that's me done for now. Ultimately, when it's better than BOGOF, I couldn't really say no.
Hopefully come Feb, most concerns about Omicron will have eased, oliveira may have stopped offloading, and we can look forward to a strong flow of news on the oncology front from 4D. All the updates we've had to date have been highly promising, the fact that both the BOD and Merck topped up significantly at £1.10 continues to give me confidence, and whilst I've a few concerns about Oliveira dumping more, the Oxford Financing arrangement and whatever milestones 4D need to hit, and further share dilution, I've faith in the BOD in navigating all those issues.
Only time will tell if I've been stupid though...
