... For those without twitter "NantEnergy - Fluidic Energy @NantEnergy Head of R&D Fabio Albano talking at #SPIcon about benefits of hybrid battery storage systems | #NASEW19 #energy #energystorage"
I'd be very surprised if NexTech are not somehow connecting in some way to NantEnergy(PSS' co).
Nant have a hybrid system that uses their showcased Zinc Air battery, with a Lithium Ion battery. A new solution with the later being Lithium Sulphur would be far better : https://nantenergy.com/zinc-air-lithium/
So, since the battery news this week, I've been trying to do some digging and find a connection from PSS to NexTech, looking for a connection between the two names(Bill Burger & Fabio Albano) listed as NexTech contacts on the bottom of the RNS.
Nada up until just now, as was just looking at Bill Burger. Then I looked on the NantEnergy Twitter page and low an behold the second most recent tweet (Sept 2019) is of Fabio Albano presenting at a conference.
https://twitter.com/NantEnergy/status/1176926373039919104/photo/1
He was VP of technology at NantEnergy then, but moved this july to NexTech.
"Fabio Albano is now CTO at NexTech Batteries, a developer of lithium-sulfur batteries. He was most recently the VP of technology at NantEnergy."

PSS is obviously still active behind the scenes of Directa. He was one of the Authors and designers of the recent Antival tests. He's mentioned at the top " Patrick Soon-Shiong" and later as PS-S
"Author contributions: This study was designed by FDM, VP, GD, MSali PS-S and MP. Infection experiments and related assays were performed by FDM, IP and AS. Bacteria-based experiments were performed by VP and AA. Electron microscopy was performed by VP and AA. Cell viability experiments were performed by FD and GP. Data analysis and figure preparation was conducted by FDM, VP and GB. FDM, VP, GD, MSali, PS-S and MP wrote the paper. "

Looking forward to NexTech actually doing what's posted on their website, with or without NantEnergy in tow "The next phase for NexTech will be to bring its Patented Li-S Battery Technology to the Global market!"
It’s always been on the cards here. A bid only needs to be at the year high sp with 30% holding to kick off. Obviously it then needs a majority vote. A quid would be a rip off. Trek kicking and screaming won’t matter a jot!

covgaz,
You could be close. I've been in three companies in the past(FGN, MARL & recently HGM) where unexplained falls occur just before a bid. All those three bids were less than most shareholders expected, but were accepted by shareholders as the premium looked attractive when compared to the reduced SP. I wouldn't be surprised if a £1 bid came in and was accepted.
This could be taken private , the market is giving DCTA no room for error whatsoever. No sales in the news is being gnawed away at the SP , it needs sales.
Could be massive in the right hands , I would be afraid of the biggest shareholder here.
i think the tarmac project could be just as big as the batteries, so many projects to pick from.
Patrick soon-shiong doesn't own 28.89% for no reason.

I know the link is from September 2019 but the same hold true today.....
BTW, they are selling their masks in local pharmacies(Slight discount to their website prices), the latest being
https://www.farsalute.it/2020/10/29/mascherine-grafene-gcomask-proprieta-antivirali-e-antibatteriche/
On Directa social media they say "Soon in other pharmacies ??" (Europe/Africa emoji )
*shouldn't be far off
Sounds like the full commercial agreement of selling to NexTech should be far off. The Tons of Graphene GC mentions is a huge figure!
100% agree on the PR. What are Tavistock doing?
I did like GC mentioning the news pipeline coming next; it keeps investors happy and brings in new ones.
Watching the news today regarding efficacy of different face masks. A missed opportunity not sending Which Magazine one of their masks, who are on the news today.
Just can't understand why Directa are not selling their masks by the millions, as if everyone was wearing them(I wear mine all the time) the outbreak would be far less than now. If only people were aware that these Graphene masks also protect the wearer, not just protecting other people!! That's clearly also down to a lack of PR!
https://www.which.co.uk/news/2020/10/which-face-mask-tests-reveal-huge-differences-in-filtration/
Worth saying twice!
The battery tech could be v significant, priced in tons of graphene for directa!
He could do with updating the market on mask sales rather than just saying significant.
Not sure if we have a background seller as any sale is NT but could buy when I last looked. They traded through last lock down as part of chemicals sector and many employees could wfh so I don’t think it’s COVID. Also we usually hold up during turbulent markets.
Setcar revs should be financing the business by now + a big cash injection from masks. Would also expect asphalts to benefit soon from government infrastructure spend.
Gosh there are so many shots on goal; come on GC get the PR rolling!

Cenkos note : "We understand that Directa Plus’s pristine defect free nano platelets significantly outperformed other materials tested by NexTech, a testament to its unique production process where platelets are exfoliated from graphite without creating waste or using any chemistry"
NexTech Website : "Incumbent Li-ion technology is reaching physical limits of specific energy after years of development, and the future electrification of transportation will rely on significant increases in specific energy and safety with dramatic reductions in cost. NexTech’s Li-S technology has the potential to more than double the Wh/kg of incumbent Li-ion technology, while providing unparalleled safety and cost advantages. Our Li-S chemistry does not exhibit thermal runaway, unlike Li-ion, even under catastrophic abuse tests such as short-circuit, puncture, and bullet impacts. Our technology also does not rely on expensive strategic metals, such as cobalt, but rather uses inexpensive and abundant sulfur as the active material. Our continuously increasing patent portfolio covers all areas of cell technology, such as solid-state electrolytes for optimal cycle life and enhanced safety and cathode architecture for unparalleled specific energy (Wh/kg)."
