The trials I was thinking about for the asphalt gipave from DCTA was the Oxfordshire/Kent/Rome.
Patrick Soon-Shiong a good holder of directa plus billionaire wonder if he doesn't want his money back?
It’s not new tech imo, I questioned only a few weeks back why there was no income from it. The San Giorgio Bridge was finished in 2018, no sales from it at all? When it starts getting sales in Italy, maybe the world will wake up to it. With all the new infrastructure around the world, including Dubai, gipave hasn’t got a mention. That puzzles me.
Possibly. Though due to the inclusion of plastics I wonder if this was via a Hot Rolled Process as the Cold Rolled Process is significantly greener (and has been subject to a trail on the A1 in the North of England by the Highways Agency, though that used product from VRS rather than DCTA).
That said id either can demonstrate benefits then it could be good for ALL Graphene stocks.
If it was so good, I’d question why the whole of Italy doesn’t have it? Also, Imola has a service road paved in it. I can just hear the commentary team drooling over it now.
Also trials in the u.k. years ago that keep getting repeated but with no orders seems all people do is ask for trials very soon they'll have the network done for free.
Was also an airport runway in Italy that "trialled)
Please note :
green not in colour but as in Environmentally friendly.
GLA
F1 attracts big audiences around the world, anyone who drives a car will be interested to know if the tarmac is environmentally friendly.
so from F1 to roads, environmentally friendly materials would encourage road Surfaces to go green
We’ll check out San Giorgio Bridge, that was paved in 2018, in Italy, DCTA’s home country. That has done nothing to enhance any value imo. I can’t see how F1 will attract any new investors, that is all about cars not tarmac. I hope you are correct but sadly I can’t see the connection.
Would be nice for a revenue flow from it

Will open opportunities for road Surfaces around the world.
F1 commentators will mention this on TV and this tech will get a free Promotion in Few weeks time.
Erm, this isn’t a new thing, dyor.
Just think how many roads will adopt this New way of resurfacing roads across the world especially in Europe
GiPave® installed at Imola Circuit ahead of Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix
Directa Plus (AIM: DCTA) a leading producer and supplier of graphene nanoplatelets based products for use in consumer and industrial markets, is pleased to announce the installation of GiPave® at the Imola Circuit ahead of the upcoming Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in May 2024 as part of the Formula 1 World Championship, making it the first circuit to feature green, sustainable and high-tech asphalt utilising graphene and recycled plastics.
GiPave® was developed by Iterchimica and resulted from a multi-year research programme conducted in collaboration with G.Eco of the A2A Group, the University of Milano-Bicocca, and Directa Plus. The product uses graphene supplied by Directa Plus alongside hard-to-recycle plastics, such as certain types of toys, fruit crates, and old CD cases that would not normally be recycled. The asphalt containing GiPave® can itself be entirely recycled, further reducing waste and the need for new materials.
What a Fantastic Rns for Green Road Surfaces,
this should do multi bagger from here......
7% is a very good interest rate on their loan imo. I'm used to reading 15% for director/shareholder loans.
Hopefully reflecting confidence in the co.
500 employees sounds quite large. They have a website too, seem to be in the right sectors for using dcta's tech imo. Defence, firefighting etc.
Happy to have another partner but agree it would be good to have an idea of the size of market all the same.
Would be helpful to know what size of market this unlocks, what size of player the partner is.
I thought Versarien had similar developments with fabrics including displacing warmth, antibacterial etc.
Let’s hope D+ get weaving and avoid the penny share market!
Had a search around for gipave. It looked to be in the testing phase with several different authorities/places but as you posted no actual orders yet.
I wonder what happened to Gipave? I thought that was a goer. Doesn't seem to be any orders at all.
I remember when these gave a video interview claiming to be tendering for 50M euro's of Setcar contracts.
Still waiting.. patiently..
When this was over a £1 🤔
