Charles No I have got less than 12000 shares on HL and AJB combined. But, I wouldn't mind that being my target quantity though. Originally, I was going to Invest and leave. But, at the moment it seems to me quite volatile with its peaks and troughs although the general direction is up. I have gambled a bit by selling my complete holdings on a high and buying back low. No guarantee after selling that I can buy back lower. But, it worked this time.
We will drift between 780 and 820ish for a couple of weeks until some good news (big client etc..) gets released.
Best to hold and move on to research other prospects now.
yeah, got a few, and have now stuffed them into my do not look for 6 months draw.
now to find some new shares and companies about to pop or drop.
I missed out at 780 nervous that it might not go so low. Bought back in at 803 and already £1200 in the blue so I am happy. But, of course tomorrows another day and anything can happen!
I think it's a system error Nidec. Noticed it on a supposed newbie account last week, when they'd made several posts!
Oky. The only reason I did that last post was to see what happened to the number of posts I have made. Its has shown me on 166 posts for days now, regardless of whether I post again or not. Either a system error or older posts of mine are being deleted.
Weird
827 now. Looks like we may have bounced off the floor
Lending
A good percentage of that high 900's sp was caused by excited-inexperienced-retail-herd sentiment....it was froth and not stable. If as a 1st time buyer you look at your trading account and see a profit equating several months salary and all you did for that was take the advice of 'some bloke down the dog and duck', youre going to be feeling pretty pleased with yourself. As that 'win' starts to disappear, you sell and take what you can of your profit. Those people won't be back and very few of them ever looked or cared about Dark's fundamentals. I think there is a floor coming, once the ML issue is settled but even if he is extradited, it may take a while to reach. Sentiment again, but this time pertaining to whether or not Dark can be further embroilled in the HP case.
I got a nice top up by taking note and holding off until it dropped close, so thank you Claire. You definitely deserve that Americano.
814 now, time to fill your boots?
@Charlesrixon, you cheapskate!
we were in hair's breadth of the price I said it would go to this mid week.
I've called the price on this share twice now, so maybe you can tell us where the next high level is?
expecting 500p and then you will see buyers.
ipo people and early buyers are sitting on very good profits.
needs to be actualised. you dont sit in cash given recent times
The question I ask myself is- has anything fundamentally changed between the price being in the high 900s and now that will affect its long term value? If not, then the price just reflects large and small traders at play, influenced, in part, by the TAs crystal balls.
In my humble view if most follow TA it will become a self fulfilling prophesy. So. For instance, if the SP hits a point which signals “ do something” like buy, then shares will be bought causing the SP to rise and visa versa - a direct cause and effect relationship. But the what do I know - I don’t trade but I do observe.
My observation over a long period of time is that SPs will in the end to reflect the fundamentals - and the fundamentals of DT have improved since IPO as has the need for their product. In between news on the fundamentals it is, IMO, just noise - a noise nevertheless that can be use]efully exploited by some. Whatever the SP, I I remain quite relaxed and an enthusiastic long term holder.
Charlerixion ...other people might think it's not low enough. nothing wrong with that...people go all funny and defensive just because other people want it to go lower to join in. Hey, we believe in the company but we are all traders and human greed wants us to join at the lowest price. human(trader) nature isn't it?
Shares go up and down. no harm in saying it. a lot of you guys already jump in when it's in the 300 mark...
