I too lived in London for two years, enough for me. I will never understand people with cash behind them wanting to Iive in London unless it’s a really posh area like belgravia . To many people on the underground and to many cars for my liking.
I think that's a sensible strategy Charles. Though I thought I was being sensible selling some at 804, so what do I know? :-DDD
I think we're all hoping for a little dip before the next inevitable rise :)
I meant on the pullback. I'm definitely holding on to my remaining holding!
Me too Charles. I think we'll achieve 900 again and then some, but imho it's a bit frothy presently. I really want a top-up, but I won't buy more at this price.
Seaking, I know the Wirral well, grew up in Crosby, just over the water. :-) Hope Cambridge suits you. I wouldn't live in London again! Hopefully those who are able to attend the AGM can do a write up here for anyone unable to get there.
One advantage of buying once -or at one time - and holding on is the feel good factor of multibagging more frequently, albeit with less total profit than those of you who keep buying on the way up. A little more upward movement by DT and and it will be a 3 bagger for me and my holding in SQZ has just 11 bagged today. Not as good as it sounds as I have also lost on other oil exploration stock several of which went bust.
Opposite for me . Wirral to just outside Cambridge. So any Dark AGMs live in future I will attend .
The gnome campus, wellcome has some really good talks which are free science based. Looking forward to going when they have it back on.
No-one saw £8 coming so quickly, so £9 is a great surprise. Will we ever get the opportunity to make that bargain top-up now?!
Charles, I'm up in the North West, so Cambridge is a bit far for me to attend for a day, though maybe I could fit it in with a trip to my old haunts in London. We shall see. :-)
I WILL hold my head in 'Shame' - i was wrong for thinking this would drop and selling at 9 :)
And here we are again
That was short-lived, it slipped back while I was typing :)
Im sure we'll get there again soon
Nice to see 900. Lets see if it holds
£9. Yihaaaa!!!!!
Thanks, JayneC.
The answer to this phase of the ML question is on Priti's desk & I don't think it would be totally out of character for her to make an aggressive, unpopular decision. But with Bozo in the States anything could be rationalised or overturned quite sensibly/irrationally!
I always discount what political input impacts on shares, because it is often out of the blue, illogical & shareholders are helpless as they can do nothing about it.
There are some classics such as Claire Short suddenly announcing in opposition that as soon as Labour were in power they would re-nationalise the railways - a real Exocet for Railtrack shareholders at the time. Or, continuing on a rail theme, the recent announcement that the Government was going to get involved in selling rail tickets did wonders for the Trainline share price!
Think of the encouragement by governments to buy diesel cars - diesel-gate. Now lets go electric - the fact that to produce one tonne of a particular rare earth metal, essential to greening our environment, involves processing 1200 tonnes of rock using lakes of water - sounds sensible. The list is endless though.
Unless Priti's decision enables ML to work directly with Dark again, or at least continue his stellar career in the UK, we probably won't agree with it.
Ah, yes....spotted it now. Must have been daydreaming about a 1000 share price ;-/
Thank you, all
Rajbury, the reply is immediately above your question
Charles, what are you on, I want some! :-)))
