Thanks for the 75 per cent versus 90 per cent rule …
Interestingly both ML and his wife have not been selling this week , I guess they believe a Deal might happen and they wait for the 850 p a share ! Or 750 p minimum :)
Let’s face hit we hit 560 p on Friday , simply add 50 /60per cent to 560 p and there is your likely answer on final buyout price :) :) :)
PussyGalore remember HKK .. and that other great lady who was buying Dark last year , they still not back here ! We are still standing :)
Lending i agree! This is a major holding for me it’s been a painful journey but I believe it will pay off. My husband averaged down a lot ( he has bigger balls than me lol) however I’m still very confident I’ll get a good return :-)
Thanks, NewKOBT. My only experience has been with contractural takeovers and assumed this would be thecase here. I have in the past received a little extra on occasion but mostly by default rather than design. No takeover company likes to minority shareholders so would offer inducements, but, I guess, they will get their 75% or 90%. Probably worth my while looking into the differences for interest if nothing else.
Have a good weekend.
Lending, they only need 75% of votes on the day if Scheme of Arrangement, otherwise, yes 90% on the day if Contractual.
It is interesting to see how fellow BB contributors are responding to the potential takeover with diverse views, situations and aspirations. I suppose I am in a fortunate situation averaging in the mid 300s, and do not need the proceeds from the sale, so can relax either way.. But if taken over, it will cause me a lot of work researching new unique companies to invest in, and there are not too many attractive alternative possibilities around in the UK market.
I probably will not accept any takeover price less that 1000p which is the top of the range which I estimate it is worth medium term. It is likely to be taken over for much less, IMO, so I am hoping, at least, that more than 10% of the SHs are like minded enough so that the takeover company will have to offer slightly more to squeeze us out in order to get the required 90% acceptances needed to obtain total ownership.. Wishful thinking I know, but it would good to see them not having it all their own way.
Most will see it differently.. GLA
In regard to a takeover bearing in mind that another company may be going to put an offer in .
TB may come in with a strong offer to put others off that’s assuming they make a firm offer. :-).
Pity, as really decent close was on for today .... yanks at it again .... Nasdaq probably do a 'Rishi' after we close just to rub salt in.
Sentiment in USA today weak , Nasdaq off , Crypto down … some say Bear Rally …. Sentiment from across the pond maybe pushed Dark down from 560 back to 540 late today
ML poppy and Dr Milner of arm have all contributed to the development of tech and biotech in this country in a big way with investing in startups in Cambridge and Oxford universities.
Charles I bet Haleon won’t with all the debit they have.
Yes but….how did he het those good exit prices? The courts say fraud and ongoing alleged fraud and this aspect has not helped DT. Pity because his technological nous is exceptional.
Yep it was 177 in feb then covid smashed them to bits. Now is also not the time to be investing in holiday travel with autumn/winter approaching. Let’s hope no new nasty strains turn up.
Sheltie yes some companies with too much Debt are collapsing , AMC di e better :)
And he is good at getting a high exit price for companies!
SteviaW , I agree , ML deserves credit , and I hope he is not extradited in the end , however this could be a good exit point for him , and everyone , I wish him well
CR888/if it wasnt for ML there would not be a DT
Nope. They've lost the lot. . . .
I bet no one was saying that before covid struck.
Wow! Cineworld down 72% TODAY and 87% for the week. What a total Car Crash of a company.
Steve wonder - I am not aware of the level of insurance that ML has to cover fines ( that could be very high )
ML / plus wife being off the list of shareholders would be doing himself and Darks other stakeholders a favour
Going private would suit UK Govt. Being taken over by US entity would not be preferred option and would at the very least be scrutinized.
CR88 Your talking nonsense, ML doesnt need to sell his shears in DT. He took out insurance years ago to cover legal fees and fines
A deal could save years on Darks growth
ML needs a deal ( he can’t wait years ) , he might influence Poppy to strike a deal … north of 750 above all placement prices
Close above 553p would make new recent high going into w/e.
