Ohhh, I only saw your other post now PG. Hahaha my mouth was flooded when you posted the Chef Marco is cooking for you (sometimes ago) I imagined the perfectly prepared stake by Chef MPW, thinking lucky PG. Hahaha. My imagination rise high sometimes. Hope Chef M cooks nice food for you.
If Big boys want Volatility to trade today and next week … I guess they focus other stocks / areas today :)
Sorry to see Travel / Bank / Oil etc down today at least so far Dark seems flattish … my concern with this Virus is the Furlough scheme gone …the costs to Hotels / Travel etc would be high if the Virus not contained by existing Vaccines
Again if ML news in next 4 days or 2 weeks , deemed actually positive then …….
Marna… I’ve just realised who you meant by chef mpw! Lol sorry nope he’s not a famous chef. Both of us are currently looking at paper losses on here but confident it will come back. On the flip side I invested in Novacyt some months ago and sat looking at 35% loss for a while. Today it’s just flown after a great RNS and I’m back in very close to making a profit. Things can change very quickly… however I also have travel shares which have taken a massive hit today so it’s all a bit swings and roundabouts for me at the moment
Remove the whole ML question and this will be flying. We all know that is what is dragging this down, and the hedge funds with peel Hunt have orchestrated a massive short run with this negative or to trash the share and make lots of money. The instant the ML issue is cleared this will rocket back.
James in this group predicts 600 on Monday , at first I thought he was over optimistic but after some thought … if ML news is viewed positively then Dark could get close to 600 next week … just thinking :)
No problem. No there’s definitely only one chefmarco lol … he won’t mind me saying he’s not particularly tech savvy so I can assure you he definitely only has one account. He’s the last person I can imagine switching between accounts… he’d find that far too stressful lol
PG, I read some time ago that he is your husband but was wondering if Chef Marco was Chef MPW. That's it. No, I wasn't accusing you of anything, I was just thinking of some food hahaha. 4tothefloor was dreaming of my account being another Charles's account, daydreamer. Have a good day everyone.
Marna sorry after re reading that I thought initially you were accusing me of having another account as chef M …. I think I misunderstood so if so please accept my apologies. Thanks to Grottyface for his info re the AGM as a LTH It’s good to hear the 5 year forecast
OMG what is going on on this board. I am on a big loss but not blaming anyone but kicking myself for it. Being new to this is not easy. I have learnt so much from this board, from lths and the "new" people to me that appeared on this board in the last few weeks. I don't say much as being new I don't have the knowledge to help. We are here to make money (some just like myself to recover money). I don't (I do!) mind waiting, hopefully we all will do what we plan to do. I do believe in Darktrace and I will hold until better days We will shine and it will be nice to shine together. Marna (not Charles's other account). Charles you are funny as always, thanks Claire for your great input, JayneC I hope you will be back! PG is Chef M the Chef M? (Just curious) Some other "new" people are also good (maybe not what I want to hear but it's good to hear, hopefully helpful stuff for the future). All the best everyone and keep calm.
More that you appeared to be scoffing at my suggestion at lunch time today, that this was more likely to be £4.50 than £6 any time soon. I think you made some quip about "who is going to win the 3.30"? Some other joker said it will be £6 by tomorrow or Monday and said he "promised" it! I have five figures invested here, but I am not emotionally attached. I am here to make money and quite frankly couldn't give a toss about DT or anyone working for it. If I misinterpreted your response earlier today, then I apologise sincerely. I also re-state that there is money to be made for the likes of you and me, by averaging down - just not at £4.79p. ATB
The market always hates uncertainty and it looks like this is going to go on until at least 16th December. I think private investors would have to be brave to buy in now, despite recent falls. It looks like there is still further for the shares to drop, unfortunately. Both the potential liabilities and the possible risk of ML selling part of his stake to pay for the legal fees are hardly going to attract investors at the moment.
The other big issue of course involving ML is that the legal fees must be racking up at a rate of knots. I think it’s highly likely that he is going to have to sell part of his stake to pay them. That in turn also hangs over the shares.
I don’t think the amount of shares purchased by the people on here will affect the sp much. I think it’s got more to do with large funds buying or selling. At the moment it appears uncertain whether ML will be extradited and if so the implications for DT. Following this, will there be more initial investors off loading. ‘Markets’ don’t like uncertainty. Until clear decisions are made (good or bad) this will continue to drop. When some news is announced it will hopefully rise rapidly and you’d have to be in it before the news is public to benefit.
However, I’m waiting on the sidelines for now and probably the next 6 weeks or so. Between now and then I think this will drop quite a lot further. However, to long term holders you shouldn’t lose anything unless you sell.
