As the voice of reason here tonlie, I assume you have DYOR and found something you can't spin?
Do yourself a favour, ask CC about resignations in India. It's a pretty obscure subject for me to bring up, see what response you get. I don't bother talking to CC anymore, I prefer a more reliable route.
It's dead in the water tonlie. Omni is not required, CC know it, and you will officially hear it when they are good and ready. Remember the 500,000 Connode units with UKSMIP? You only find out when CC are ready to tell you. Nothing has changed!
DYOR lol.
It is fairly simple Colour, they are probably not at liberty to discuss and it may jeopardise further contract chances.
I think that we have been told repeatedly that we are not the lead contractors and subject to the whims and fancies of the main contractors, I think Heather covered that point on last Virtual.
DYOR
And CC won't disclose the reason because....... ? DYOR tonlie, it is an interesting tale.
add on:
I feel that if the result had not been a landslide, then there would not have been a rethink in Bangladesh.
Very suspect.
DYOR
Once again Colour, you left out the bit in the middle, a changed of government.
I don't know current situation but you think you do.
From what I can see it was decided to let individual Utilities seek their own supply line.
So probably contracts were rethought, in line with any new regs.
Is that roughly correct.
As I said before Governments do their own thing. Bangladesh contract is important but not vital.
Look what happened with Jammu to a much bigger company than CC.
DYOR
Which is almost exactly what you said yesterday LTI. Fact is CC won their biggest contract yet, then it was added too, then they lost it all. They know all the information why this happened, but refuse to share it with investors. When you have a decent reason why this may be, come back and let us know?
You are welcome tonyj.
LTI.
Hello CB,
I seem to remember that the RNS information detail provided, was raised within a question during the CyanConnode Investor Meet Presentation, during September 2020 and answered by Heather.
I would think that the same disclosure principles apply to RNS's, as apply to Trading Updates or any other sensitive information given out by the Company.
A brief interpretation/description of Heather's answer to the RNS information question, but I cannot guarantee it is word for word:-
- We would like to put out more information, but it is not only share-holders who read RNS's. Other customers may look at this. The competition may read RNS's. We do not want to give out to much information about numbers of units or value. It may come down to an NDA. We send the RNS's to our Partners to get there permission, sometimes they do not want their names mentioned and the details disclosed. And sometimes they will provide a quote. CyanConnode have to view the overall commercial sensitivity of any information.
But from the information provided in the UK Investor Magazine Webinar Presentation, which I provided an extract from yesterday, it suggests that there are opportunities in Bangladesh ( and others ) that are being pursued by CyanConnode. But because of any possible commercial sensitivities, mentioned by Heather, CyanConnode have to be aware of any sensitive information they provide to share-holders, or the market in general.
Whether it be in the form of RNS/Trading Updates/Webinars, etc., the commercial sensitivity issue has to be addressed. But as I mentioned yesterday, all share-holders will be informed when any relevant news is available.
Which could be/may be, at any time.
LTI.
New investors need to study what has happened from 2016 onwards. The last 4 months tells nothing, and you very well know it. You can't just bury years of failure and broken trade orders just because you are so desperately underwater tonlie.
Thanks for that LTI..
New investors at this price would do well to look at RNS's from June 20 onwards, for progress in expansion.
Don't bother with AGM etc or directors changes just updates and presentations.
CC has a long way to go in my opinion and picking up a head of steam.
To me SP at present is a bargain.
Nevertheless DYOR, it's your money.
'Hopefully we got some of the Smart contracts that Utilities were then allowed to individually allocate and possibly some of this years contracts.'
Errrr, no, that didn't happen tonlie. Please DYOR.
Pedro/LTI.. Hopefully we will get an update shortly, I to am looking for breakeven or near to it.
Colour.. We know Bangladesh, was stalled and that there was a landslide election in Dec18. Hopefully we got some of the Smart contracts that Utilities were then allowed to individually allocate and possibly some of this years contracts.
It amazes me how you trawl through press information for negatives and totally ignore positives.
Bangladesh is important but equally so is India, Thailand, UK eventually, Europe, etc.
DYOR
Good evening LTI.
All information submitted here, outside of CC's own reports, confirm solid progress in Bangladesh. This is more indication that they are striding on with their SMIP and CC are not involved.
There needs to be a whole of company TU, and as Bangladesh awarded CC with their largest contract 'wins', they need to clarify what they clearly know. Further delays in all of this will show little has changed in the mentality of information flow, despite how JC promised the exact opposite recently.
Good afternoon CB,
I believe that the information you have provided is very similar to the newspaper report I posted on 2nd July, 2020, from the Dhakar Tribune, published on March 12th, 2020.
http://dhakatribune.com/bangladesh/power-energy/2020/03/12/installation-of-more-tk88-lakh-smart-pre-payment-meters
Some further, additional information on CyanConnodes progress in Bangladesh, can be found in the June 30th, 2020 UK Investor Magazine Webinar Presentation.
From the presentation document:-
" Bangladesh - Working with ecosystem of partners on various opportunities, strong relationships in territory."
But no time scales given. But no doubt all share-holders will be informed, if/when there is any relevant news available. Bangladesh is also mentioned in the UK Investors Magazine presentation document, in the " Business Update " section, under " Business Development " ( Bangladesh, Indonesia, UAE ) and Bangladesh are also mentioned in the " Summary " section, under " New Business Territories " ( UAE, Indonesia, Bangladesh.)
LTI.
John Cronin, CyanConnode executive chairman, commented: “The size and speed of this further order from our partner for their smart meter deployment in Bangladesh highlights the significant opportunity in the region with the repeat order demonstrating the scalability of our business model.”
Latest I can find.... ' Director General of Power Cell Mohammad Hossain said: “Distribution companies installed 28,86,548 smart pre-payment meters across the country in October 2019, of which BPDB installed 11,32,083; BREB installed 8,10,590; DPDC installed 4,35,552; Desco installed 2,93,838; WZPDCL installed 1,95,591; and Nesco installed 18,894.”
How's about an update JC, you clearly must know far more than you have said so far.
