Hello CB.
I seem to remember us having this conversation before. Smart lighting can consist of two main components. The replacement of the normal street light bulbs, with LED street light bulbs and the provision of an intelligent lighting controller. They do not have to provided at the same time. Usually the LED lighting is provided first, in some cases, to reduce the power usage for the utility and when the utility can afford it, they provide the intelligent lighting controller.
EESL have provided LED street lighting to India and other global markets. As we know.
It would seem, according to the RNS this morning, that CyanConnode have " ..... been engaged by EESL Energy Solutions LLC, Dubai, ( EESL ) as technology partner in the Middle East and Africa, for smart metering and smart lighting projects."
CyanConnode provide a smart lighting control:-

As far as your comment " Why copy and paste all day different parts of an RNS that everyone has read?" I might ask you a similar question. You posted several different posts today, relating to RNS's that came out years ago, some going back to 2014.
So I think a recap on an RNS that came out earlier today, with some added information, may be a bit more relevant.
But that's only my opinion.
This project may still have a long way to go. But who knows? So no timelines for the next piece of news, on the progress of the project with EESL. But the first steps have been taken.
LTI.
Bit cheeky Colour, seem to remember most India lighting was lightbulbs not systems.
Keep pasting LTI draws attention.
Be interesting to know if other tecs are involved with EESL middle east.
To me this is all looking good.
For jake and yourself it never will. That is peculiar.
DYOR
LTI, you really need to check what EESL have done with Smart Lighting in India already. That's India, CC's main target market, where CC have not been involved in a single lighting unit since a pilot proved worthless about 10 years ago.
Why copy and paste all day different parts of an RNS that everyone has already read?
Hello Schlum,
I agree. With a company of EESL's standing in the global market place, other opportunities could very well open up, for CyanConnode.
LTI.
Good afternoon all.
Also, from the CyanConnode/EESL RNS announcement today:-
" CyanConnode, a world leader in Narrowband Radio Frequency ( RF ) Smart Mesh Networks, is pleased to announce that it has been engaged by EESL Energy Solutions LLC, Dubai, ( EESL ) as technology partner for projects in the Middle East and Africa, for smart metering and lighting projects.
" EESL is a joint venture of four Indian public-sector undertakings; NTPC Limited, Power Finance Corporation Limited, Rural Electrification Corporation Limited and POWERGRID Corporation of India. EESL has also established a Joint Venture in Dubai, partnering with Hansa Energy Solutions, to form EESL Energy Solutions LLC."
So smart lighting as well as smart metering.
Also, very encouraging.

LTI.
Don't have an opinion here Itt, not one that differs from the hired help anyway.
I also wonder why EESL have not chosen CC to be Tech Partner in India, that's where it's all going to happen after all. This news, until contracts appear, is just another MOU, JV, Partnership, call it what you like. There have been many over the years and nothing has derived from any one of them. So, the questions are, who will EESL choose for the 'Big One' and how many others will they have selected to partner in the ME and Africa..... CC will not be alone I assure you.
Middle Eastern and Nigerian orders look closer to being procured after this announcement.
A boost to CC’s standing, no doubt about it.
Hello ITT.
This is the first tie up with EESL and that is significant. As we know the only real association has been the Roundtable with Intellismart (EESL). I feel sure this is the beginning of CC's RF involvement with EESL which could prove very rewarding.
Put your doubting Thomas to one side until we get further information. Look on the bright side.
The point is CC has officially been acknowledged by EESL which we all wanted.
I feel very good times ahead, DYOR.
Hi LTI
That's fine, that's your opinion. That's why I included the 'IMO' in my post.
For me, it will move to the significant news pile if we ever hear about its existence again.
Good morning Inthetin,
I find it both encouraging and significant.
Encouraging, in that EESL has " .... selected CyanConnode as Technology Partner to leverage its market-leading RF Mesh Technology."
And significant, I seem to remember an old Chinese proverb, that goes something like:- " Even the journey of a thousand miles, begins with a single step."
That step has been taken on this particular project. And CyanConnode has been chosen as Technology Partner.
If there is any more news to come from CyanConnode, on any other project/market that you asked about, or others, I am sure that CyanConnode will inform all share-holders when they have any news.
So, I still find it encouraging and significant.
LTI.
Hi LTI
Encouraging, yes but significant, not yet (IMO).
EESL Dubai is probably at the start of a very long road before sales materialize, if indeed they ever do. If Cyan is so market-leading, what about EESL India? What is the state of play there?
An interesting comment from Mr. Saurabh Kumar - EESL Executive Vice Chairperson:-
" EESL Energy Solutions is promoting energy efficient projects in the Middle East and Africa and is pleased to be partnering with CyanConnode. We have selected CyanConnode as Technology Partner to leverage its market-leading RF Mesh Technology.
" I look forward to a successful collaborative partnership with CyanConnode."
LTI.
Sorry, missed a bit. Should read:-
" ..... has been engaged by EESL Energy Solutions ...... "
LTI.
Good morning all,
A very significant announcement that CyanConnode " ..... has been by EESL Energy Solutions LLC, Dubai, ( EESL ) as technology partner for projects in the Middle East and Africa, for smart metering and smart lighting projects.
Very encouraging and significant, indeed.
LTI.
