Just read the latest Hardman report (Feb22). Still conservative, rightly so, but brings in a value of 40p+.
Calculating on 15% of India's 250m units. I feel that CC will get a lot more than that.
Still see an early push of £1 to £2 SP. Only my thoughts.
DYOR
Glade you enjoyed it Colour, even though I did not understand comment from you.
My view is that JC is lining up the skittles for CC and this last bit of patience will pay off very soon and massively..
DYOR
Thanks tonyj, that has to be your funniest post yet !!
DYOR : ))))
You do take a gloomy approach Colour. CC were probably lucky to get an additional supply of IoT electronics.
I got the feeling SS wanted access to India.
My only concern is they are active in takeovers.
DYOR
That Innovation Centre in India takes some dusting.
Hi CB
FYI, the cleaner has invoiced for 115 hours @ £8.91 for January.
ITT
Seriously, the desperation to ram a square peg here is comical. CC found a new supplier, how that excites some here really sums up just how desperate they are becoming.
LTI has also confirmed SEW probably have their own volume Comms solution, and SS PLC are wining contracts to supply.
CC on the other hand.....
Good morning tonyj and all,
Certainly, reading the Solid State PLC literature, they are a Company with many strings to their bow. As the saying goes. And another Company with potential contract opportunuties in the USA, that has partnered with CyanConnode recently.
Solid State PLC and Smart Energy Water.
So possibly another couple of seeds planted for future CyanConnode growth.
LTI.
Hey tonyj, they could use CC contacts!
DYOR : ))
Interesting company Solid State, LTI. Looking at their chart and figures a big jump during 2021. On their total shares about 350p to ours. They have made a lot of acquisitions for a small company but the right territory.
We could use their contacts especially if as I suspect India gets well underway with Smart Meters/Iot.
DYOR
Solid State PLC - Company Overview Brochure:-
http://solidstateplc.com/wp-content/uploads/Solid_State_PLC_Brochure_2021-Rev6.pdf
From the Solid State PLC RNS - 27th January, 2022 - Mr. John Macmichael MD of Solid State commented:-
" One of the key challenges was securing the product needed to meet CyanConnode's build requirements. Despite global supply shortages, through close collaboration with CyanConnode and our manufacturer, product has been secured and buffered to meet their forecasted requirements."
So, both Solid State PLC and CyanConnode are investing in the initial stages of the Indian Smart Meter Programme. We will have to see if any other companies will need to be sourced, to secure CyanConnodes component pipeline.
But encouraging news, none-the-less.
LTI.
I am pleased you agree Colour.. Only problem is you thought exactly the same way and said villages were satisfied with a lightbulb. Disagreed with me when I said they would quickly want more than just basics. They can now see the World via TV not just their village. I think you will find that CHIPS were cheap all round the World then.
As these new components are to be for IoT there must be a lot of interest for that CC capability.
I feel JC is preparing for a massive takeoff.
DYOR
Correct indeed tonyj, well done.
The reason they were so cheap was India didn't want stacks of standards, or all the Bells and Whistles that others could supply. JC knew exactly what they wanted, until he realised he was completely wrong, and they wanted everything.
DYOR, please DYOR.
As suspected you had not thought this out before mouthing off.
You do not know what JC got for his money or what he needed.
This could have been just what was wanted but you don't know or care.
Pennies, in a previous time he did say about his modules that he would like to give them away.
Was that correct Colour, your era, you were there.
DYOR
As suspected. Give numbers a very wide berth tonyj, it's really not your thing.
Colour are you certain you know anything about this.
I only go on what I read. Chips have gone up considerably but we don't know by exactly how much, mores the point is their availability. I have read that the scarcity will only run this year. Before all this you will remember JC said they were only pennies. There is a lot more to Meters/Gateways regarding electronics as you have seen previously.
So where did you get the numbers to evaluate the unit worth of the $2.1m contract. What do you know/ not know of CC's existing reserves/purchases to think this is not a safe guard move. You are generalising without facts as you have accused others.
DYOR.
WTF did you get meters from?
I know you struggle with numbers, but will give it a go. How many chips do you think CC will get for $2.1 million?
Bare in mind the ratio you keep banging on about 1m units = £20m.
Have a proper think, even you must be able to work out roughly how many chip units will be supplied on this?
Colour I don't think you know what you are talking about.
They are not supplying meters just a little bit of it.
Unless of course you know otherwise this contract might fit a million meters.
Also this is an additional supplier, so CC may have millions of units in reserve.
Research before you give unfounded opinions. Again of course you may know otherwise.
DYOR
Confirmation, if ever needed, volume market is covered elsewhere.
With the size of this contract value, and proposed delivery timeline, it fits about right with true expected % uptake here and India. Small, Bespoke Niche...... DYOR.

LTI.
Good morning all,
Thank you, homebrewruss. And thanks to tinker10 for the original information. We can also see now where some of the cash in CyanConnodes bank account has been invested. In future projects, to be delivered in the next financial year.
So good news.
Good to hear from you again 2cv. I hope you are keeping well.
LTI.
Thanks for that homebrew. Probably the most useful thing posted here for months !
BTW, I am also a "homebrewer".
Thanks homebrew. Did not order that amount for nothing.
Thanks to Tinker on advfn. CYAN have a new supplier
